My local CHR hasn't yet picked which of the Rihanna songs it wants to focus on, so it's been playing all of them except POC pretty much constantly... And for some reason it plays "Run this Town" as if it were a current hit.

I have no idea why, but she's almost due for a new album, yes? Maybe she'll get another monster hit off of that one!!

I think Rihanna's Num.1 problem is too many songs at raido. Followed by a horrible single release schedule WFL should have came out 2 to 3 weeks later than it did. YDO isn't a horrible single choice but mabey they should have released TTT 2nd instead. TTT could have got the Urban play mixed with some Rythmic. Then Top 40 and Rythmic could have embraced YDO. At this time Rhi Rhi would have thrown out BC to Urban. Then Where Have You Been would have been released followed by Roc Me Out. Done. Lol. I think this album had the potential to outsell Loud. Even if the whole album isn't better (material wise), it had/has the potential to do so much better.
Missed oppurtunities this era- YDO (released way to early) TTT (single)- shaping up to be a smash at her needed format at the time. Gets cut short by a single that should have been leaked/released when WHYB was released to Top 40.

She's having an identity crisis, that's the problem.

In the last few months, "We Found Love" was a monster hit, however, subsequent singles "You Da One" and "Talk That Talk" haven't performed so well. And now the remix of "Birthday Cake" with Chris Brown is being touted as the next single on All Access, however, it seems the label isn't behind it. What do you all think is the real reason(s) for her recent underperformance? Is it because "We Found Love" was soooo huge? Is it because she's hanging around with Chris Brown? Is it because Jay-Z is sabotaging her on purpose because he's mad? Is it because the public is tired of her (backlash)? Is it because of her attitude on Twitter? Is it because the music isn't good? Is it because the wrong singles were released? Is it because of something else? Discuss. Let's keep this respectful please. This generally happens just after a song that isn't that good is treated like a smash. It doesn't help that YDO and TTT aren't all that amazing either. The performance of the singles following My Life Would Suck Without You and Born This Way would be other good examples of the same phenomenon.

Birthday Cake would be #1 on the Hot 100 if Def Jam stopped trippin' Rihanna is doing fine. The day Birthday Cake goes to #1 is the day I will permanently resettle to Djibouti.

She needs to stop rushing through albums and eras take her time making them and promoting them. At some point, she'll have more albums than singles. -___-
