I think the key for this single will be "slow and steady." I can see it taking off quickly based on WDKY's momentum but then it will be a steady climb to the top 5 on CHR. I don't see it peaking everywhere at the same time so I predict top 10 on the Hot 100 but it could squeak out top 5 with big promo. Top 5 CHR, #1 HAC, top 5 AC. I do think the potential is there for another huge smash and this song could have great longevity. It has the most potential other than WDKY and I am thrilled to see how it works out.

I really hope for the music video and single cover, she goes for something in the direction of the My December set. That was her best photoshoot, and it would work perfectly for this song. Also, for those of you who haven't listened to the remix, this is the single artwork they made. It's pretty fantastic.

I hope this does well. It's one of my favorites off of 'Stronger', and I would be devastated if this didn't perform well.

I wish I was as optimistic as everyone else on here! I'll try and be positive, and hopefully I'm proven wrong. Either way, even if this under performs, they have a guaranteed 4th single smash, so it's all good!

I think they should use the last picture of the album - the one where she is looking up - so gorgeous. Then again, the past two singles covers have been completely new pics so this will probably be a new shot too.

I don't see why this would have a problem going top 3 at CHR and Hot AC. Number 1 isn't out of the question either. I actually might like this song better than Stronger.
Great era from Kelly and her team. Mr Know It All wasn't a bad lead single after all.

I think they should use the last picture of the album I think that is from the Mr. Know It All video I can't freaking wait to see Dark Side's video. They better blow the budget for it this time!!

I like this song except, to me, the chorus is the weak part of the song.verses are great, imo.

I don't think this will be anywhere as big as you guys predict cause it kind of falls flat. It's not an anthem like Stronger nor offers something new like Adele's latest singles or those random songs blowing up out of nowhere. I think this will be as 'big' as MKIA and might even do a little better based on Stronger's success. We'll see.

This won't be as big as "What Doesn't Kill You (Stronger)," nor do I think this will be as big as it's Breakaway cousin, "Behind These Hazel Eyes."
I'm predicting top 10 on the Hot 100 and top 5 on CHR. Which is a nice hit, but not the smash everyone here thinks it will be. It has two things going against it. First, it has the classic pop/rock sound to it. Not a popular sound at the moment. The other problem is it will be her summer single. This is not a summer song at all. I still do think it will do well, especially coming off of the momentum she built up with "Stronger," but I think some of you are building yourselves up for disappointment.

How does this have a "classic" pop/rock sound to it? I get that that is the common denominator in most of her material, but I think she adds shades of other sounds. Classic pop/rock, in the Kelly sense, to me is Since U Been Gone, Behind These Hazel Eyes, Let Me Down, etc. Dark Side seems to follow in Stronger's more synth-y, rhythmic-leaning footsteps while not straying far away from her signature sound. But this is hardly an instrumental straight out of 2005.
It may not be a huge smash, but like I said, I played the hesitant card with Stronger and I think RCA and Kelly are still hugely committed to this album. There's no way they don't know that Stronger is the only clear, no-need-for-promo smash on the album, and they won't assume that this one can just fly up the charts (without a commercial this time) without some work.

I don't see this being a huge smash even with major promotion. We'll see.

But this is hardly an instrumental straight out of 2005. I didn't mean it was straight up pop/rock. I meant it has strong influences of the early 2000s pop/rock sound. This definitely is not rhythmic-y at all, though. I don't hear that at all. Unless you're referring to the music box noises...

I'm going to predict a top 10 peak all across the board. Glad this is next; hopefully radio will embrace it with open arms.

This definitely feels a lot closer to me to Breakaway and the pop rock sound on there then Stronger. I don't necessarily think that dooms it or anything. They do freshen it up a bit with some of the production elements. I am not sure how to predict it. It isn't an anthem or fun dance song, but it also isn't some epic jaw dropping ballad like Someone Like You. That usually indicates that it won't do that well (meaning, looking at how it fits in with the types of songs that usually do well). By not that well I don't mean flop before anyone freaks out-I just mean more like MKIA/IDNHU than Stronger. However, there is something about the song that feels like it may defy the odds to me. It also has a HUGE song coming before it so lots of momentum!

I think some people need to step back and get some perspective. Since when is Top 10 on the Hot 100 and Top 5 on CHR not a smash?! Smashes don't always get to #1 for many many reasons including timing and promo among many others. I am sure we can name a ton of songs that in hindsight were "smashes" but that never hit the very top.

My predictions: Top 20 on CHR, possibly top 15. Top 20 on Hot 100 (#18?). Possibly top 15. Top 10 on Hot AC Top 5 on AC. 700k copies sold. Big support from z100. No adds from KIIS FM. Mild hit based on Stronger's massive success. Not a huge digital seller. I don't think this will be as big as most of you are expecting. At all.I have a feeling that KIIS won't be adding this either. It doesn't really fit their playlist. They only added "Stronger" a couple weeks after it shot to number one on iTunes and then BB. Unless this song has an explosive rush to the top which convinces them otherwise, they'll probably hold off like they did with MKIA.

I predict that this can make it to higher than the Top 20 on Pop. If "Mr. Know It All" can get to #11, the much more interesting, equally catchy and arguably more modern "Dark Side" could make it there too, maybe even higher. Just my opinion.
And what is great is that KIIS didn't even contribute that much to "Stronger"'s success... it really didn't support it nearly as much as Z100 and yet it still smashed. So, I don't think Kelly needs to rely on (or should rely on) KIIS's support because it's so minimal that it's not even worth the struggle.
