The album does sounds really good. It's a shame "If I Lose Myself" isn't making much noise at Top 40. Then again, their singles take forever to peak.

I haven't listened to any of the previews, I've never been a fan of previews, but I'm sooooooo excited for this album and even more so because of the great reactions. "What You Wanted" is another great song and I'm really digging their change in sound. It's so... colorful and free.

They get better and better with each album. Something I Need is PERFECTION. This guy really knows his way around a melody and chorus. DAMN. I can't wait to get this album.

I might have to buy this album. I'm enjoying the new sound! "Burning Bridges" reminds me so much of "Good Life". And since that's my all time favorite One Republic song, I'm not complaining. :)

As expected, "Counting Stars" is amazing. It must be a single at some point.

I love this album. It's 100% my favorite album of theirs. I thought their first two albums had too many dull/filler type sections, but this one is really strong. Some of my favorite tracks are even near the end (Preacher, Burning Bridges). I hope "If I Lose Myself" eventually takes off and is just slow like their past singles because this album is too good to flop.

Agreed, it's their best album. Not a single filler.
The production, lyrics and especially Ryan's vocals are beautiful.

:'( This is perfect. I've only listened once (listening again right now) but yea I agree, this is their best album. "Burning Bridges (Acoustic)" > life I thought their first two albums had too many dull/filler type sections, but this one is really strong. !!!!! </3 I think their first two albums are perfect, but I can see why you'd say that. I will say though that "Dreaming Out Loud" is a better album while "Waking Up" has stronger individual tracks.

I took some time to finally listen to the album and I have to say it is wonderful! I had only listened to their previous ones a single time finding just a handful of the singles and select tracks to be worth returning to. I do not dislike them. I shall revisit the albums again because they may connect with me now. But I enjoyed almost every single song on this new one. I like how their tracks have a Pop/Rock feel but have a very light dusting of the Electronic/Dance influences, since Ryan did do vocals for a couple of such tracks like Oakenfold's "Not Over" and Sebastian Ingrosso & Alesso's "Calling (Lose My Mind)". But it's just the right amount. My favorites are "Feel Again", "Counting Stars", "I Lived", "Burning Bridges", "Something I Need" (though it totally reminds me of fun.'s "We Are Young"; the structuring is eerily similar), and "Preacher." I am also starting to like "If I Lose Myself." Why oh why is it being released at the end of the month? It should be out now! It's just too far off. I think this is one of the best albums released this year. I hope this does well as a sleeper hit and then explodes later on.

Aside from the singles, I think my favorite track may be "Preacher" actually. I also love "Burning Bridges", "Something I Need", "Counting Stars", and "Life In Color" (why is this not on the standard album?).

I wanted to wait until we got a better quality rip, but I went ahead and listened to the album. For some reason, I remember the clips being more impressive than what I heard, but, nonetheless, it's still a solid body of work. It's definitely their most consistent yet, and their only album with more than 1 or 2 clear-cut single choices. But with the way this project has panned out so far, who knows if anything else will be released. On another note, the auto tune that Ryan used on this album really compliments his voice.
The highlight of the album, for me, other than "If I Lose Myself," is "Preacher." And if they get another single, I would release "Counting Stars."

I don't see it mentioned anywhere, but the Deluxe Edition of this album will only be available in the US at Target. It comes with the 5 bonus tracks (2 studio, 3 acoustic) plus some sort of collectible packaging.

Absolutely in love with Something I Need. Counting Stars, What You Wanted, I Lived, and Burning Bridges are also standing out besides the two singles.

I just wanted to pop in here and say that "If I Lose Myself" is utterly fantastic. Just wow. I like "Feel Again", but I think "If I Lose Myself" is so much better. I want to hear this song all over the radio, so I hope it becomes a smash for them. I was going to wait for it to go on Spotify, but I'm going to check this album out on there tomorrow. I hope I enjoy it. If I do, I'm going to get it sometime this year. Edit: I listened to the whole album this morning, and I really enjoyed it. It is definitely their best album yet. I will get it when I have the chance. :)

I'm really enjoying this album a lot. I think it's better than Waking Up (and that was good too!).
Will be picking up my copy tonight at Target.

I love the album; I think it's their best yet and that's just after a couple of listens. I'm mad that IILM was a flop and the album probably will struggle to sell but I hope the next singles break through and push the album just like Secrets and GL did with WU.

I bought the album at midnight at Best Buy and got a wristband to see them perform 5 songs there today and then sign the album...it was so fun, and definitely my favorite album of theirs!

I Lived is making me cry. It's as far as I've gotten through this album. God bless Ryan Tedder. I don't care how derivative he may be, but his songs and voice on record give me such an indescribable feeling. It's the reason I love music wrapped up in an album. Mind you, the album could take a turn, but I highly doubt it. These guys know how to captivate me. It really helped that I barely heard anything from this album. I tend to buy my CDs on release day anyway (about 99%). I never heard If I Lose Myself and I vaguely recall hearing Feel Again once. Those songs are masterpieces and it's a shame they didn't do the band any favors. I am just in awe. Stan for life.
