This is from Music Row:
She also played a new song called “Pontoon,” which she wrote after her publisher comically misunderstood her song “Fine Tune.” Hemby announced “Pontoon” is expected to be Little Big Town’s new single.

LBT tweeted a while back that they're working with Jay Joyce now. I wonder if he'll make them more rock like he does with Eric Church? (I would say that Joyce and Michael Knox are best when it comes to a harder-rock sound without overproduction.)
Total LBT song. I love it and can't wait to hear their version. I'm guessing (and hoping) Karen will be the lead vocal. Great summer, swamp song. I wonder if 'back this bitch up into the water' will make it into their version.
Kimberly was co-hosting the Nashville WSIX morning show this morning and they debuted the song while she was there. It is getting raves from those that heard it. But I can't figure out who got lead on it based off of tweets.
Loving this. I sense a big hit for these guys...maybe bigger than "Little White Church". I honestly wouldn't be surprised if this was their first #1 hit. But I guess we'll have to wait and see what LBT's version sounds like. All I know is that I LOVE this demo.
Little Big Town just tweeted this is the link of Kimberly on the WSIX co-hosting this morning. It has an sort little clip of the song, basically a bit of the beginning and end. She stated they just finished the CD last week.

Didn't get to hear the demo, but I am so excited to hear this! I love Little Big Town (they're my favorite country band out there rn BY FAR), and I want them to put out new music so badly. I'm pulling for them to get that breakthrough this time. *fingers crossed*
This was attached to country aircheck weekly through their ad on the email page. I haven't had a proper chance to listen but I thought I would post it so it could be added in. Hopefully this is okay since it is from the label and all.
This is brilliant. LBT gets a lot of love here on Pulse and I've always liked their voices and harmonies, but most of the time I can't get into their music as much. This, though, sounds like summer perfection to me.
I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say this will be their first #1 hit, even if it takes 30+ weeks to get there.
For some reason, I see LBT blowing up this album cycle. They stand above the other groups right now, and with groups being more popular, maybe all of the acclaim will finally turn into better chart performances. A guy can dream, can't he?
I also would love for them to cover a Fleetwood Mac song on their new album, just because it would be great. Their harmonies are almost as good as the Mac's are. I recommend "The Chain."

LOVE the production of this, but I'm not crazy about the lyrics. Upon first listen this wasn't as instant as LWC for me, but it's still very good. I don't know if I could see this becoming a hit, but since LBT are so hit-and-miss with radio and seem to have moderate success with uptempos (Boondocks, LWC), this could be a surprise hit.
I'm among the country fans who loves the voices/harmonies of LBT, but has never been able to get into much of their recorded material. Having seen them open for Carrie, I think I can truly say their live talent is so incredible the magic just cannot be captured in a recording session, and I don't even consider myself a fan.

This is great. Little White Church was one of my absolute favorite songs from 2010 and I just couldn't get enough of it. I can see myself playing this more and more as I get into it. But on first listen, it looks like LBT has another Top 10 hit on their hands (at the very least). I am also hoping for a chart-topper for them finally, and additional hits from the forthcoming record that fare well on radio.
I'm stunned to see everyone loving the production on this one. I thought it was downright awful. I think there was a good song in there, and I love their vocals as always, but I just couldn't get past the production. I could see this one going either way. It's quirky and unique, so it could hang around and be a hit (top 10 is probably best case scenario), or it could do like I'm With The Band and be a total flop. I'd bet on the latter, though I could easily be wrong.
Glad I'm not the only one that's not digging this. With me, they are a love it or hate it group. I will NEVER buy another album of theirs because they are always crap and the only songs that have ever stuck out in the 2 cd's of theirs I have bought are their singles. Other than that, their cd's are all coasters to me.
This thing is just as bad.....if not worse, than LWC (which was mostly terrible because of the handclapping). People are talking about how this song and that song don't belong on country......well, this doesn't have a hint of country in it and in my opinion, doesn't belong on country.
