Is Carrie lip-syncing? No she definitely wasn't.

Can we don't let the fans vote the award again? >:( >:( >:( Gosh, that would totally defeat the purpose of the whole awards show being, well, fan-voted...? Carrie and Taylor have the biggest Country music fanbases, and it shows with the VOTY track record. Oh, well.

I missed most of the show tonight. Does anyone have a full list of winners? I scrolled through this thread, and I saw a lot of them, but I wanna make sure I didn't miss any. ;)

Miranda Lambert takes Female Video of the Year for Over You! So happy for her! Love the song, love the video. :) ...? No? How do you figure? In the beginning of the song, it kind of looked like it. It might've just been my s**tty TV though. It definitely was your shitty TV. Carrie's performance was 100% live. It's very easy to tell because Carrie's breath throughout the performance was different in comparison to the recorded song. Also... Carrie never lips, so why would she now?

Besides a few performances, it was pretty much the CMT Pop-Country Awards to me.
I also found it ridiculous that EC sang Drink In My Hand. I don't care how many awards it's up for, Springsteen is about to hit #1 and is one of the biggest songs in the USA right now.

FYI: Carrie never lipsynchs. In at least 2 interviews, she's said she doesn't like the practice and she herself doesn't. I believe her. She doesn't even lipsynch the national anthem, when we all know it's common practice.
Just to add: How does a person win the female video award and not even have enough votes for the video of the year. I would think if you voted for the female award, you would also vote for the video. I'm just saying.
Still, I'm happy for Carrie, she won 2 out of 5 awards, including the BIG ONE, so it's all good. I'm also happy for LA and Luke Bryan.

I'm guessing the fans of her friends vote for her (Blake, Jason, Lady A, etc) for female but when it's video of the year they vote for their favorite.

I don't really care, but it really doesn't make sense. There are ways you can spin it, but if Carrie earned enough votes to make the top 5 for Video of the Year, how is it possible for her to lose a different category with much of the same competition, arguably less competition?

Miranda deserved her win for FV, and I'd much rather see her win one of the awards and Carrie the other, than to see one of them hog both awards. Makes for a much more interesting show. That's the way I spin it, but maybe that's just me. You can stick with the conspiracy theories though if that's what suits you.

I was happy for Miranda, but I don't think she received more votes than Carrie. If she did, why didn't she at least make the final five nominees for Video of the Year? That was my point... I don't think that's much of a "conspiracy theory". Thanks for your permission to stick with conspiracy theories, though, much appreciated!

Well then how about we say Carrie didn't have enough votes to win the VOTY award if she couldn't even win the Female award? It goes both ways. I don't think it was rigged...Blake Fans probably voted for Miranda but voted for Blake for the actual VIDEO award...which splits the vote. Pretty simple math.

I don't think it was rigged...Blake Fans probably voted for Miranda but voted for Blake for the actual VIDEO award...which splits the vote. Pretty simple math. No it doesn't go both ways. Voting for all the categories closed before the award show started. At the top of the show, the top five nominees for Video of the Year were announced and somehow Carrie made the top five, but Miranda didn't. That clearly shows Carrie received more votes than Miranda, at least for Video of the Year. Unlimited voting for Video of the Year opened at the beginning of the show, which somewhat explains Carrie's win. So it can't really go both ways because of the unlimited voting throughout the show. The 'Blake' theory fits, but only to the same extent as the 'rigged' theory... Whatever the case, I think it's great that there was such a variety of winners. All the winners definitely represent modern day Country music well. Carrie, Miranda, Jason, Luke, Lady Antebellum, Thompson Square, etc... Regardless of whether the votes were manipulated or not, I'm happy with all the winners. In all reality, your 'theories' are just as good as mine because there's no solid, definitive proof for any of them. The over-analysis of all this is pointless, but it's always nice to see what other people think.

Miranda deserved Female Video, and I'm actually kind of annoyed that she didn't get into the final five for VOTY. Over You is one of the best videos of the past year, and it's my absolute personal favorite one from this past year, at that (yes, over GG).
Yada-yada-yada with the whole "rigged" thing. To whoever brought it up, it's not anything new or original. Does it matter how the votes were split up? Honestly. People voted for whoever they wanted to vote for; not by who they felt obliged or compelled to vote for because they "stan" for so-and-so. If anyone did vote like that, then so be it.
Never a dull moment.

I was channel surfing last night and got the last 2 minutes of Kenny Chesney's performance. The song was bad but his singing was even worse. I don't really care for most of his music but I've always thought he was a pretty decent live singer. That performance certainly must not have been his best.
