from Allure of Sound: English vocalist Lisa Stansfield, who is probably best known internationally for her first biggest hit “All Around the World” (1989), which peaked at number three in the United States Billboard Hot 100, is currently in the studio working on a new album!
Stansfield tells Britain’s Sunday Mirror, “It’s been a very long time. I’ve been busy doing things behind the scenes but I can confirm I’m finally back in the studio. The time feels right now. I’ve been offered every s**t celebrity reality show going and I would never do that – what’s the point. I’m a singer and I’m ready to get back to doing my thing. I guess you just hope that’s there’s a demand still. I’m wanting to do an album that will make a real statement. It’s time for a return.”
Lisa is working on the album herself and hopes to have it out in the Spring. She released her last studio album, The Moment, in 2005.
