As much as I want this era to continue, I have a feeling it is over. Katy is probably gonna release a new single for the Super Bowl. Also, that commercial has me excited for the halftime show. If it's anything like her performances on the prismatic world tour, it's gonna be a good show.

I'm re-listening to Prism for the first time since March (?) and it's still a total jam. The album could definitely have been stronger but "Dark Horse" remains the most influential and BEST track in her catalog. Even as mediocre as "Birthday" is the bridge slays (also "Unconditionally SO deserved to be a single just not the second single) and "Walking On Air" was the hit that never was. :'( Although not single material I would have liked if "Ghost" received single treatment.

I agree that Dark Horse is the best song on the album and Walking On Air definitely deserved to be a single over Birthday or This Is How We Do. I'm pretty sure Katy is done with Prism and I guess it's time to see what she does at the Super Bowl.

I really hope she releases a new album this Spring/Summer and debuts the first single at Superbowl.

The Super Bowl is not the place for "debuting" new singles. The Grammys, Yes. The Super Bowl, hell no. Give the people the familiar and keep it going.

I really hope she releases a new album this Spring/Summer and debuts the first single at Superbowl. Too soon. I'd rather her wait until the end of 2015 or 2016. She should release Legendary lovers or walking on air or another prism track (maybe remixed/radio edit) at the Superbowl and play 5 signature songs and let the album shoot back in the top 10 inching closer to 2M sales and call it a day I kissed a girl Hot n cold E.T. Firework Roar Dark horse new single

The songs/albums are going to rise in sales anyways, so she might as well debut a new song while she's at it...

It would be too much of a risk to debut a new song during the Super Bowl. Except for Madonna, nobody has ever debuted a track during the halftime show. Even with Madonna everybody had already heard the track prior.

I know, but it's Katy Perry we're talking about, she's going to sell well and do good on radio no matter what, so if she debuts it in front of millions of people (or at least releases it a week before-hand) it should do huge numbers!

Releasing a new song AFTER would be more impactful IMO. Have promo lining up with a premiere that Monday and then release it. Just don't perform it during the performance. She's probably only going to do 4-5 songs with 1 or 2 guests anyway.

Still pissed this flopped in the U.S. Will never understand why or how. It did so well internationally.. Peaked in the top 10 in almost 20 countries!

Katy is having some serious drama with the paparazzi in Australia. She dragged them on Twitter yesterday. And then this happened. She is entering the messy territory that only Rihanna has dared to enter into. This is the best advice I can give to all the social media ranters. Just get it out of your system by writing it and then delete it and not press send.

So I was searching for something totally different and came across a credits list for mixer Serban Ghenea, who's done mixing on all three of her albums plus the Ferras EP. There are three Katy Perry song titles on there not credited to an album or EP release, so I'm wondering if they're new songs from an upcoming re-release (could also be old - Ariana's unreleased "Voodoo Song" is on the list too): "She's So Creepy," "In Flames," and "Heartache Crusade." Hmm.

I actually think it's kinda cool that she called out the paparazzi. I've seen videos of some of the things they say to famous people JUST to get a reaction. It's sick. Can you imagine being followed around and harassed by a bunch of old men with cameras? Nuts.
Also, she can't release Legendary Lovers. I love the song, but the backlash against her "cultural appropriation" is way too strong right now, and it's also a very popular and sensitive topic right now in today's culture.

I also agree, being hounded by paparazzi constantly would wear you thin quickly, especially with their antics.

I'm really looking forward to the halftime show this year. I would love if she performs a brand new song or even a 6th single from Prism. But I doubt either one is gonna happen.

Teenage Dream is so close to 3 million! I'm sure it will get there in no time, especially after next week.
I actually bought the Complete Confection a couple of weeks ago because it was on sale, even though I have the original version of the album.

^Capitol still hasn't certified "Prism" Gold or Platinum.
I hope they certify "Teenage Dream" 3xP as well.
