YES. Congratulations to these guys, can't wait to see this one in the top ten.
Love this verse especially.
"I put it in park and Grabbed my guitar And strummed a couple chords And sang from the heart Girl you sure got the beat in my chest bumpin’ Hell I can’t get you out of my head"

Would've posted this last week but I wanted to wait for the official date. I wonder if the label will change the cover to something more aesthetically pleasing.

This sounds like Jason Aldean without the annoying loud guitars. Pretty good stuff. The song itself isn't very good, basically just a slightly weaker version of Take a Little Ride (which is a weak song in its own right) but with enjoyable production, solid vocals and a strong melody it probably won't matter. I'd much rather see this segment of country go this direction than the Brantley Gilbert or even Thomas Rhett direction. I've about given up on predicting newcomers success, but this seems about as can't miss as I've heard this year. (The only other song I've felt that way about this year is Jon Pardi's - and it did miss, so take that with a grain of salt.)

^I actually think the lyrics in this one are a lot more descriptive than those from "Take A Little Ride". The only thing I have a gripe about on this song is that the production, even though it's good, sounds too much like a retread of Jake Owen's "Barefoot Blue Jean Night". FGL is using Jake's latest producer so that's obviously why, and I loved BBJN, but this one sounds just a bit too similar. That'll probably help it to be a hit but I wish they would've tweaked it a bit more. Guess I'm just nit-picking, though.. I agree that this is gonna be a BIG hit though. Republic has done great breaking in most of their new artists (TBP and EYB). I could see this being a Platinum #1 hit early next year.

Everything about this is better than "Take a Little Ride", imo.
I like how this one is about a random girl, rather than a girlfriend, that they want to go ride around with. It adds to the summertime feel of the song.
I really love the production and melody of this one though. Very fun and summery. Reminds me of "Barefoot Blue Jean Night". I hope it can be a big hit for them.
Although I was a tad disappointed when I found out they aren't actually from the Florida Georgia Line (where I'm from originally), but just one is from GA and the other FL. But then I read that they both went to my college so I was a tad less disappointed ;)

I've been hearing this song on Sirius/XM since probably May and have always wondered why it wasn't charting. It sounds great, but took a couple listens to really get the crazy out of my head that the lyrics stopped at the word Cruise instead of Cruise (This Town) or something similar. It just always played weird in my head there wasn't a lyric after it. I guess it was expected rhyme with "down".

I think this song could really get them on the map just like Chicken Fried did for the Zac Brown Band. I expect a multi platinum hit when it is all said and done

This is my first introduction to this group although I have heard the name before from my southern US friends going to live music shows. I like this song. It's catchy and seems like a fine song to listen to while driving around town with the windows down. I went and looked at some YouTube videos of these guys playing at live shows. Is it just me, or are there a whole lot of guitars in the band and not a lot else? I did see someone on keys on at least one of the four or so songs I listened to. Without a decent fiddle player or some mandolin or some dobro or pedal steel or SOMETHING other than electric/acoustic guitar, they just kind of come across to me has some guys that have a garage band. Even the guitar solos that I saw were good but not anything that were special. Nothing that stands out from the crowd of other bands that want to have their go at it. I have some friends that really like these guys though. Sometimes it's hard to get the full feel of a band over the internet. (although the really special ones seem to come across as special any which way)

Sort of weird how this has already been charting in Canada for a few weeks. Number 67 on the Canadian Hot 100

It's not that there are not enough musicians, there are just not enough different instruments for my liking. A couple of the songs I watched had 5 musicians: drummer and 4 guitar players. Just a personal thing with me I guess. Too much guitar and not anything else.

Well, one of those would be acoustic and one had to be bass. so that'd be two guitars and that's quite normal for a basic touring band with the band being 2 of the 'guitar players'

Republic is re-releasing their EP "It'z Just What We Do" on August 7.
"Cruise" is doing astonishingly well on iTunes. It's #17 on the country songs chart, ahead of such songs like ZBB's "The Wind", Josh Turner's "Time Is Love", Rascal Flatts' "Come Wake Me Up", Keith Urban's "For You", Miranda Lambert's "Fastest Girl In Town", etc. Those are all BIG names and their songs are getting a ton of airplay, while "Cruise" has only just debuted on Billboard at #54. It's not very far at all behind Blake Shelton, Jana Kramer, and Gloriana on iTunes as well. Very, very impressive and that's one of the big reasons why I expect this song to blow up in the coming months, with a big label promoting them to radio now.

I'd expect there to be a new cover of it (and "cruise" the single to disappear - and be just from the EP - once it's re-released. they're filming the video tomorrow too.

^You don't think "Cruise" will be on the full album, or on the re-released EP? I think it would be on both. It's selling incredibly well and I really do think it'll be a big hit, at least top 10 if not #1. Amazon still has the image below as the cover art for the August 7th re-release.

Am I the only one that is bothered by the spelling "It'z" on the EP. I just don't get the point of it and it bothers me.

I absolutely hate when people use the letter Z instead of S or the letter K instead of C. I'm not really a grammar freak, but things like this and the misspelling of the correct form like they're/their/there drives me crazy My problem is that it'z just unprofessional, or at least looks that way.

Well, they kept the slightly cheaper indie version of the EP (which is exactly the same) available along with the original single for "Cruise" too. Weird. Still, there's no way this tune isn't a hit.
