And apparently she recorded an entire album inspired by Fela before she started working on 4. That would've been really interesting to hear, but I'm glad we got 4 as it is. For me, it's far and away her best album.

Celebrated Nigerian singer/activist Fela Kuti. There was a stage show based on his life and music too.

Didn't Jay-Z, Will Smith, and a few other people produce the Broadway show, "Fela! The Musical"?

I really like Chris Brown's verse on the Jealous remix. He fits it really well. I wonder what other collabs she did during the Beyonce album that haven't seen the light of day.

I'd prefer Chris remixing this on his own, rather than having them two on the same track b/c they didn't mesh well. Perhaps there is a full length remix w/just Breezy on it.

See she's took Prince's criticism into consideration.

Dear Beyonce your empty soul is something that nobody wants to listen to but I'm glad you rectified that on "Die With You" it seems natural and organic and less "perfect". Flaws and all i feel like i can hear her heart a bit on this than being glossed to the heavens and perfected.
Loved it and felt every word.

Beautiful voice, great vocals, really good song. Piano chords are basic tho...you can clearly hear that she can't play the piano well. Maybe she's learning now! And i thought she wrote the song :(

Have any of you seen this? This guy sings all of her albums in four minutes. It's really cool and he has a great voice!

Herself. She uses Parkwood Enertainment to help run her business, and it seems that Jay-Z helps too.

Herself. She uses Parkwood Enertainment to help run her business, and it seems that Jay-Z helps too. The article says "Beyonce's manager" came across the Bailey sisters' video on Youtube, so it must be someone other than herself. It could just be someone who works for Parkwood, but then why refer to this nameless person as her 'manager'? They could have said a Parkwood executive or something along those lines. It's a minor detail (she would be far from the first person whose manager isn't known to the public) but that it is being treated as so minor kind of makes it more mysterious than it should be.

According to her, she is managing herself. Now how much she really is, who knows? I would imagine her staff at Parkwood does the contract negotiations.

According to her, she is managing herself. Now how much she really is, who knows? I would imagine her staff at Parkwood does the contract negotiations. The mystery becomes deeper, then. It was a NY Post/Page Six article if I'm not mistaken, so I'm kind of undecided. No publication is immune to small editorial slip-ups like that, and Page Six is just a glossy gossip rag with a better repute than the rest. But Page Six is not necessarily prone to making those mistakes either; the reason it has its repute is because its gossip is usually reliable, so that seems like a sloppy thing to not fact-check. And like I said, it's so minor that it doesn't make sense either way. Either she doesn't have one and they used the wrong title (in which case, how could they get that wrong?), or she does have one but is keen to give the impression of managing herself (in which case, why lie? no one cares). But it's also possible she has an 'assistant' manager who handles a lot of the day-to-day details she's too busy to take on. IDK. I don't mean to give the impression that this is serious to me, I'm just weirdly pedantic sometimes.

Yeah, I mean isn't it possible they misused "manager" and it was just someone else with a similar position on her team?
Either way, I am glad that she is interested in developing new talent, has anyone heard of these girls? Nu Allure perhaps?
