Well he did "Bo$$", but I don't know how many more he did. He doesn't seem like the producer to just copy and paste like that. Sure "Talk Dirty" and "Wiggle" had its similarities, but they weren't as similar as someone like DJ Mustard does with his songs. Well, someone clearly ripped off TD. Not sure who just yet. Stargate

Agree, solid effort. Like Mariah, Brave Honest Beautiful, Reflection, Body Rock (i think that was the name), and This Is How We Roll all sounded like bops to me. I'll wait until I can purchase the album to give it further listens.

I'm going to predict 80-90k.
Top Down, Everlasting Love, Like Mariah are my favorites so far.

As much as I love Sledgehammer, I hope I like their album!

The album is cute, but Reflection just does it for me! Surely it has to be the next single. They can close the era with Top Down.

This Is How We Roll is giving it to me! Can we talk about they basically used Scream & Shout's beat for that though? Britney. Her impact. :'(

Sure "Talk Dirty" and "Wiggle" had its similarities, but they weren't as similar as someone like DJ Mustard does with his songs. Well, someone clearly ripped off TD. Not sure who just yet. So it was StarGate who ripped off "Talk Dirty". Ori Kaplan of Balkan Beat Box is credited as a producer, where he is also a writer for "Talk Dirty" since the song samples their song "Hermetico". That's probably why they sound so similar. Probably the same sample. ETA: Oh, didn't see your post at the top of the page.

Sledgehammer Like Mariah Them Girls Be Like Reflection Suga Mama Brave Honest Beautiful
I was hoping Sledgehammer of a really solid, catchy Pop album I would love but I really only *love* that song and casually like the other ones I highlighted. Something about most of this material given to them blurs the lines verges on corny too often and does nothing to establish a defined identity for them as a group (yes, I know it's POP music). Plus, I was expecting there'd be at least one ballad where they really got to showcase their voices and harmonizing. Yes, it's a "cute" album but it really just feels like the kind of rush release that singing competition show winners produce to gain a quick hit and make a splash before they fade from memory - how ironic.

I wish they went a little more dance/pop with this debut. They have the voices for it. A lot of sounds "rent-a-rapper" cheap. The verses on "Body Rock" sound like an old disco song, the melody, etc, it's driving me nuts. I can't figure it out.

First off, I have LOVED Fifth Harmony since they were put into a group on X Factor so needless to say I am excited about picking up the Deluxe version of their Debut album next week.
I'm not quite sure why they put a possible single on the deluxe version of the album when it could have been replaced with a different track.
Also I feel like they changed up the song "Reflection" compared to the version I have heard in their live performances so I am not sure how I feel about it yet, may need a few more listens.

It's alright. I'm not sold on it yet.
I think the best are Top Down, This is How We Roll and We Know. Going Nowhere live is amazing too but less so in studio. Reflection the track is a let down. Nothing is happening, it loses hook in the chorus. Like Mariah is funny too but Camila, the first voice, sounds terrible on it. I have to skip that.
We Know is very beautiful and there should be another.. They are great vocalists and it's missing that. Everlasting Love is pretty.
Suga Mama and BO$$ are the ones I like the least.
I think the album feels a bit old and I don't think there are hits in there. I also think they don't use the quality of their voices to their potential. The production is very bad too, at least in most of the songs. Them Girls be Like, We Know and This is How We Roll are the exceptions

Why didn't they release Going Nowhere as the first single? That song is HOT and they slay when performing it live....

"Like Mariah" is cute but the actual Mariah sample feels unnecessary.

"Like Mariah" is cute but the actual Mariah sample feels unnecessary. That's what makes the song for me! It's very cleverly worked into the melody, imo. I'm loving the album overall, a couple tracks I could do without. But all in all, a great album with a lot of potential hits.

There are quite a few duds on the album, but overall it has great production and it's catchy and inoffensive! Good job! :)

This is definitely a cute debut album. I don't think "Worth Is" is a correct choice for the next single, it's actually one of my least favorites. "This Is How We Roll" and "Like Mariah" are good single choices. I think "Reflection" is a really fun song too, especially since I thought it was going to be a basic, sappy ballad about their reflection and their lives lol. Might give this a purchase!

I definitely think "Like Mariah" should be the next single, perfect spring time song. That sample will slay everyone. It's one of the catchiest songs on the album.
