i figured this is alright to start since there is a Cece thread that has been open since yesterday . looking forward to some music from them .

It appears as though no one, who competed on ‘The X Factor,’ is going home empty handed! Tate Stevens may have won the $5 million recording contract, but he is not going to be the only contestant who gets a record deal, as Simon hints that he plans to sign Fifth Harmony. How exciting!

It’s looking like all of The X Factor semi-finalists are getting record deals — hooray! At the Dec. 20 finale, Simon Cowell spoke to Hollywoodife.com about his plans for the contestants, and he hinted that the girl group Fifth Harmony will be getting signed by Sony.

SIMON’S PLANS

After Tate Stevens’ glorious victory, Simon spoke about his plans for the other contestants, saying that Emblem3 will be signed. Now, it looks like Fifth Harmony is going to get a record contract too. Phew!

“There is such a market now for this girl band I believe, I think where there’s boybands there’ll be girl bands. We may have someone who can fit that gap!” said Simon.

This is great news! Fifth Harmony really proved themselves throughout the duration of the competition, earning them an opportunity to collaborate with Demi Lovato, and they came in at a respectable third place. It would be so great if they made an album.
THE OTHER CONTESTANTS

Simon also revealed that Emblem3 will be getting a record contract, so we can expect lots of fun pop music in 2013. As for Carly Rose Sonenclar? She is bound to have a big and bright future – as long as LeAnn Rimes isn’t in it!

I like Fifth Harmony, and I hope that they do find some success, but I'm totally anticipating CeCe and Emblem 3 making more of a dent on the pop charts.

I think the real success could possibly come when some of the girls go solo. Camilla and Lauren, to be specific.

I LLLLLOVEEEE THEM! But I don't see them becoming huge or anything. Maybe a Top 10 for their debut single but that's it. I agree with B4L that Camilla or Lauren could be really big when they split from the group and go solo.

Simon Cowell Signs The X Factor's Fifth Harmony

Fifth Harmony and One Direction have a lot in common.

Both groups auditioned as five individuals before being put together by The X Factor mentors. Both groups went on to place third on their seasons. And, now, both groups have been signed by their X Factor mentor Simon Cowell.

"I knew from the girls' first performance at the judges' homes that we'd done the right thing," Cowell, in an exclusive statement, tells PEOPLE of Fifth Harmony. "The chemistry between the girls both on stage and off is fantastic, and they are incredibly talented."

Fifth Harmony's Ally Brooke, 19, Camila Cabello, 15, Normani Hamilton, 16, Dinah Jane Hansen, 15, and Lauren Jauregui, 16, developed a loyal fan base of "Harmonizers" during the Fox reality show's second season and have now signed a recording deal with Cowell's Syco Music and fellow X Factor mentor L.A. Reid's Epic Records.



"The fact that we're being given the opportunity to make music that we want feels like a dream we never want to wake up from. I literally have to pinch myself," says Cabello, who is known to fans for her signature hair bows.

The group's debut album will be executive produced by Julian Bunetta (whose credits include One Direction, Boys II Men and Leona Lewis), but the girls seem most excited to be reunited with each other in the recording studio after being apart for the holidays.

"I am going to have a blast working with my girls," Brooke says. "I promise we are going to bring it."

One of Fifth Harmony's most memorable performances was a cover of Ellie Goulding's "Anything Can Happen" – and how true that is, given what has taken place for a group of girls who, less than a year ago, were total strangers.

I'm not expecting them to be as big as One Direction, but I hope they have some minimal success. I think studio recordings (with maybe a dash of autotune) could result in some decent songs.

they are recording their album and today did an amazing cover of a Frank Ocean song.

Already 61k views. Yep, if they don't become the next big girl group, I don't know what will. They have trended on Twitter every day since the finale. Well some what every day, but every other week for sure. They have rabid growing fanbase just like One Direction did before their first single was released.

I find Ally to have the most bland and forgettable voice. It's a great voice, of course, but nothing about her stands out. They have to cash more on Dinah, Lauren and Camila. Those are the voice that will tell fifth harmony apart from other groups.
