Not sure about 2 male singers hosting an award show. I wish it was Blake/Miranda or Blake/Kellie Pickler. But i'm looking forward to it :) Carrie better snatch some wigs.

I always look forward to the tribute show the night after because all the artists seem to be on top of their game. I still can't get over how good the Brooks & Dunn special was. Don't even get me started on that performance of "How Great Thou Art" Carrie gave a couple years ago.

They showed the George Strait special on GAC a couple nights ago; I wish they'd waited to do it this year with his tour retirement being pretty big news.

He said he'd seen it on TV recently and that he wished the ACM had waited a year to do it, as this year (or even next year) would coincide much better with George's announcement of his farewell tour and the tour itself.

Not looking forward to the combination of Luke and Blake as hosts, but hopefully they will get the nominations right and there will be some good performances. Do we know when the nominations are going to be announced?

Think of it this way, Luke Bryan will certainly add a lot of smile to the mix. I do not know how much of a comedian he is, so we will have to wait.

Just curious, has their ever been two women hosts with the ACMs ever? I wish Reba was hosting with Blake this year but at the same time i am curious to see how funny Luke Bryan really is so this could be interesting.

I generally tend to find Luke (much) more charming than Blake, so I think Luke will be fine. I'm not entirely sold on their dynamic, however.
I typically only watch the performances, though, and don't really anticipate that this year will be any different.

The tribute shows are stellar.
I like them better than the awards shows themselves; they're actually about the music.

Love Lee Brice, Love and Theft & Thompson Square, but new artist PLEASE...
I would have put Thomas Rhett in for Lee Brice, Lauren Alania in for Sunny Sweeney and Eden's Edge and The FARM in for Love and Theft and Thompson Square.
But with thess nominees I think the winners will be: Hunter, Jana and Florida Georgia Line with any of them having a good shot at winning!

My predictions: Hunter Hayes, Jana Kramer, and (unfortunately) Florida Georgia Line. And then I think and hope HH will take the combined New Artist award.

I think Jana has a shot in getting the female slot, but I think Kacey will win it. There is a ton of hype around Kacey right now and although Jana has already had a top 5 hit while Kacey is just getting her first top 15, the hype around Jana is nowhere near what Kacey's is right now. I still think Jana has a great shot at getting the female nomination since it's about the whole past year, but I definitely wouldn't count Kacey out.

True on the hype, but you also have Jana's fan base which has had a long time to develop and kacey is bascially an unknown. Add that to the fact she is getting the votes from all of Brantley Gilbert's extensive fan base, I think she wins in a landslide .
I do like that all three nominees in the category though lean more traditonal country :)

Jana, Hayes, and T2 will win thanks to the fan voting. And then Hayes will run away with the main award.
Can't wait for these awards though.

Don't underestimate Kacey's fanbase. I agree with zaclord...Jana's got a great chance to win this but I wouldn't be surprised one bit if Kacey won it. In fact, I'm actually leaning a bit more towards Kacey being a little more likely to win it.
Each of the 3 male nominees is gonna have some strong voting behind him, but I agree that Hunter is most likely to win there. I expect the teenies to come out and drive him to victory. ;)
And FGL seems almost assured to win the New Duo/Group fan-voting. Nothing that Love & Theft or Thompson Square has done lately can compete with the massive popularity that is "Cruise".

Brantley's fan base is pretty intense with voting usually though. I think he stands the best chance, but I'll probably be pulling for Hunter. Lee's awesome too, but he doesn't have that huge backing.
I also think Jana seems likely to win. No idea why Sunny Sweeney is in there. Lauren Alaina definitely deserves that third one or even Kelly Clarkson. Lauren took Best New Artist at the ACA's (very undeservedly) because of the fans, so maybe they tried to keep her out? I doubt it, but it's possible.
