So far with my first impressions having heard Kiss Me Once, X, Fever, Aphrodite and Body Language, I have to say her music is just so exciting and very visual to me. There's not one album that I didn't like. Aphrodite is my least favorite at first glance, but I need a few weeks to really dig into all of them to really have a strong opinion. I used to be obsessed with X back in early 2008 so naturally it's one of my favorites because I'm used to it. "The One" is a track that I didn't really grasp back then (I was only in 6th grade lol!) but now it's 100% the highlight of that album. I pretty much love the entire album though, very underrated. Body Language is EVERYTHING too. I'm loving "Secret", "Chocolate" and "Obsession" the most right now (but then again I love Red Blooded Woman, Sweet Music, Slow, etc.) LOL so it's very hard to choose! I only listened to Fever and Aphrodite once, but Fever is definitely up there with the better albums. It hits hard and quick, everything was so catchy and leagues better than Aphrodite at first listen. Kiss Me Once is another underrated album I think. I'm loving all the tracks- very radio friendly and just plain fun pop music! "I Was Gonna Cancel" and "Sexy Love" and "Million Miles" are so catchy I can't even get to the other half of the album yet lol!

Okay I gave Aphrodite another listen (I'm starting to feel like this is my own personal Kylie blog LMAO) and I like it a lot more than at first listen, my favorite tracks right now are:
1. All the Lovers (So atmospheric, the harmonies toward the end and the kicked up production slay) 2. Get Outta My Way (what kind of catchy bop is this?) 3. Closer (almost sounds like a song that would play in Bowser's Castle LMAO, very cool) 4. Aphrodite (I like the can you feel me on your stereo hook) 5. Too Much (that chorus is everything!! so joyful and catchy)

Aphrodite is good, but not as cohesive as the rest of her albums, IMO. However, the highs and B-sides are AMAZING: "Get Outta My Way" "Cupid Boy" "Everything is Beautiful" "Mighty Rivers" "Go Hard or Go Home" etc. Wow, I find Aphrodite extremely cohesive. I remember when I first listened to it I didn't like it at all because all the tracks sort of blended together IMO, but with more listens I ended up loving almost the whole album. MiniMusic, Everything Is Beautiful from the Aphrodite album has a similar vibe to The One. I LIVE for that song. If I had to rank her post-90's albums: 1. X2. Kiss Me Once3. Fever4. Aphrodite5. Body Language6. Light YearsI adore the first four.

Happy to see all the love for X! That's the first Kylie I heard and I still love it to this day.
Since we're doing rankings...
1. Body Language 2. X 3. Aphrodite 4. Kiss Me Once 5. Fever 6. Light Years
The only one I dislike is Light Years. It has a few good tracks, but most of it is s**t, imo. The b-sides are better than most of the album.

I've never paid too much attention to her 90s stuff outside of some singles but I think her best albums are Fever, X and Aphrodite. Kiss Me Once is definitely her worst, that album was a disaster outside of like 2 or 3 songs.

I really like Kiss Me Once! The only song on it that gives me death is "Beautiful", that fucking autotune is disgusting.

This is interesting...I think Light Years is Kylie's best album to date. But it seems I'm alone on that one.
MiniMusic, have you heard anything from the Kylie Minogue '94 album? Confide In Me and Where Is The Feeling? (the album version, not the video version) are two of my favorite KM tracks.

I will definitely get into the rest later on but I need to let these 5 albums soak in, it's a lot to listen to and get used to!

My ranking of the Parlophone albums:
1. Body Language 2. Fever 3. X 4. Kiss Me Once 5. Aphrodite 6. Light Years
I don't actually dislike any of them though, because I adore all of Kylie's discography. I went through a week where I kept going between the 8 discs of the Greatest Remix Hits Vols. 1-4 set.

#1) *explodes with happiness over Kylie/Moroder track being a single*
#2) I'm glad she's back in the studio already. It always seems like there's such a large gap between her albums. Even though I enjoyed Kiss Me Once, I hope for something more innovative next time around. I feel like KMO was her way of placating the label and letting it fizzle so she could take more risks and artistic control.

Body Language is excellent - some of her best work on there if you ask me.

I didn't become a fan of Kylie's until Fever, so I've been following her with each release since (my favorite is still a tie between X and Aphrodite). Haven't heard her earlier albums, although I've been wanting to check out Impossible Princess and Light Years cause those album covers are pretty amazing.
Ended up getting this 2CD collection called Confide in Me - Irresistible Kylie for Christmas from the BF. Not sure if I should listen to it or wait to check her earlier albums first?

An edited version of the KMO tour:
Kiss Me Once: Live in Glasgow
I loved it. I prefer it to the Aphrodite: Les Folies Tour, which was way too kitsch IMO. I can't wait for the DVD!

I loved this tour. It was nonstop Kylie fun. The tour video made me fall in love with "kiss me once". That song should have been a single!

You can listen to the new Kylie and Giorgio Moroder song here. Not working anymore. The song is out there though. Love it! It's everything I wanted I Was Gonna Cancel to be.

Kylie sexes it up! GaGa's people help Australian pop babe get naughty Following last year’s disappointing Kiss Me Once, the antipodean princess hopes to revive her career fortunes with a hot new Latin sound. It’s being masterminded by GaGa’s friend Fernando Garibay and disco don Giorgio Moroder. Legendary producer Giorgio, 74, told us: “Kylie is a darling. “She is doing another EP with our friend Fernando who did most of GaGa’s Born This Way. “There’s four tracks that are very sexy and very uncommercial – beautiful new sounds.” Fernando and Kylie began working on experimental music last year. Now Giorgio, who has his own new single Right Here, Right Now with Kylie, has added some heavy petting. The elder statesman chuckled: “She asked me if I could do a little talk in Italian on her music. “She wanted it really sexy, like a Latin lover – heavy breathing. I think she was quite happy. “She told me: 'I should have worked with you 10 years ago.'" Kylie, 46, will unveil new material at her Barclaycard presents British Summer Time Hyde Park gig on June 21. It also features Grace Jones, 66, and Chic. She said: “Given the amazing artists and that it will be the longest day of the year, I can’t wait!” Pre-sale tickets are available now, while Giorgio and Kylie’s Right Here, Right Now arrives on Friday. Too Much (catchy and fun... produced by Calvin Harris. I'm telling you, had this been a single in America when Calvin blew up, Kylie could have had a hit.) 3. Put Your Hands Up (If You Feel Love) such a fun workout song, happy and uplifting.) 4. Cupid Boy (just when you think you've heard the chorus, the song picks up and is flawless) 5. Heart Strings (bonus track, very simple song but for some reason was stuck in my head and on repeat for weeks)

The "Right Here, Right Now" video was nice. It reminded me of "Get Outta My Way" meets "The One"
On another note though, how many times has Kylie re-used song titles now?
Love at First Sight, Closer, Right Here Right Now

"Right Here, Right Now" is amazing. Only she could pull that off. It's criminal how underrated she is.

Aphrodite is a great record! My favorites are probably:
1. Get Outta My Way 2. Can't Beat the Feeling 3. Cupid Boy 4. All the Lovers 5. Everything is Beautiful
"Better Than Today" is definitely a close #6 though, it ALWAYS makes me wanna dance and puts me in the best mood when I hear it.
