Place your past into a book. Burn the pages; let 'em cook. Sooo...I'm listening to my phone on shuffle and Sia's song Lullaby came on and I was shocked to hear that line there. I've read critics complain about Sia recycling themes or relying on metaphors, so I'm surprised they have yet to realize she has copied from herself, LOL. Anyway, I forgot how much I love Lullaby.

Fire Meet Gasoline is still my favorite straight up pop song on the album. Every time I hear the opening of it I get insanely happy.
I'm really hoping for a Grammy nom for Chandelier and some sort of recognition for the album. A second single might help that push, but they might not want to/be able to spend resources on it this quarter.

I'd be surprised if Chandelier isn't nominated at the Grammys, she has a lot of connections and friends within the industry.

This album is a masterpiece, every song is amazing. One of the best albums of 2014.
Free The Animal, Dressed in black, Big Girls Cry, Elastic Heart & Fire Meet Gasoline are my favorites but it changes day to day.

The only person whose gotten a #1 from her in the US is Rihanna. UK wise you can add Ne-Yo and Guetta.
Has she attended the Grammys in past years?
The people who will push hard for her are probably the businessmen who worked with her to get her pop songwriting career going a few years back. There's a specific name she keeps mentioning in interviews but it escapes me atm.

I dont get why they never pushed a second single. People would have been open to it after Chandelier, but not now.

I think they could still push Big Girls Cry, Chandelier only finally died recently.

It's a shame too; this album was one of my favorite releases this year. I would've loved to hear "Big Girls Cry" or "Burn the Pages" or really anything on radio next! :'(

I finally got a chance to listen to this for my first time. (I bought it the day it came out)
I enjoyed the album but I honestly, upon first listen, enjoyed her previous album over this one. There are some strong tracks, but maybe 1 or 2 more that I would consider radio friendly/single worthy.
I will definitely still pull for her as I have been a fan of hers for quite a while and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

BGC seems like an obvious choice to me. That and Fire Meet Gasoline.

So I was terrified to listen to this because I am a big a musical person but I actually was pleasantly pleased with this contemporary version. It's really good!

Her album has sold 139k to date. I don't know why I assumed it had sold more.

I had absoultely NO idea until I was downloading some of Sia's older stuff that she actually had a debut album under her name of Sia Furler entitled OnlySee. Am I the only one that did not know about this? It's obviously out of print but I checked Amazon and there are no listings of it. I was able to download the songs from it but I haven't listened to them yet as I am currently listening to her Healing is Difficult album as I am typing this. Anyway, here is a link to some information about that album: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OnlySee
