#39 on iTunes and there's now a second version of the album that's Mastered for iTunes and has Breakfast as the opening track instead.

Album is #58 on iTunes. Looks like it's gonna be her weakest debut yet.
Kaleidoscope debuted at #149 with 12k (281k to date).
Tasty debuted at #27 with 94k (533k to date).
Kelis Was Here debuted at #10 with 58k (160k to date).
Flesh Tone debuted at #48 with 8k (25k to date).

Somehow this was the first Kelis album I actually paid for and I've always enjoyed her but...not like this. This album is a modern-day classic and I never really had doubts. Dave Sitek is one of my favorite producers of one of my favorite bands (the Yeah Yeah Yeahs) and also part of TV On The Radio, whom I love. Great collaboration.

Outside the top-50 per HITS, which means she sold less than 5k. Ugh. Even Asher Roth outsold her.

Not surprising about the lack of sales sadly, but that certainly doesn't take away from this being such a great album. I love how cohesive Food is and it's just such a fluid listen from start to finish.

Sounds like a dubstep remix of Rumble. Nah!
This album is simply amazing! The sound and vibe of this album is really the heart of everything I love about music. I will always be a sucker for anything HORNS, throw in some acoustic flourishes here and there, awesome songwriting along with the best vocals of Kelis' life and I'm one happy camper. I never thought she would do a modern funk album but I'm so glad she did. This album got worn out this summer. Its definitely my favorite and thats extremely tough to say when you have a career full of great albums. The only time I've given Kelis a sideeye was Wanderland. FleshTone will always be near and dear to my heart as well, it came at the perfect time when I was getting familiar with the gay scene and it just blew my mind with my first taste of true freedom being captured in one soundtrack of a night out. Kelis!

She should be on the list of "Best Urban/Alternative Performance".

She should be on the list of "Best Urban/Alternative Performance". Would be nice if they hadn't discontinued that category 3 years ago.

Just saw that on Twitter. I didn't realize she became a chef. I wish Adina Howard was able to get those gigs, since she graduated at Le Cordon Bleu many years before Kelis did.

Anyone who has any insights on the story would know that she's telling the truth and nothing but the real whole story. She wasn't perfect, but it's apparent that Nas led his hatred of her blinded him and ruined the good co-parental relationship they could have had. It's sad that the media has painted her to be this bitter ex-wife while in reality, Nas clearly hats Kelis more so than the other way around, and I'm a huge Nas fan. He has done countless interviews bashing Kelis, while Kelis had always stayed quiet for the most part.
I'm already seeing misleading headlines regarding this interview. Unfortunately since Nas is this lyrical god-like figure in the community, people on social media are gonna just come down on her like a ton of bricks without even watching the interview.

Nas is a lyrical genius but also a tailor made bitch! Her honesty and transparency in the interview was so refreshing and made me love her even more as an artist and a human. I'll always root for her!

Good for her for speaking up! Nas really should step up his game and apologize sincerely to her.
It's sad because they used to be my favorite Hip-Hop couple and now these backstories added a completely different layer of meaning to my jam "Blindfold Me".

This interview made me want to listen to her post Nas music. I was a huge Tasty fan. But didn't pay much attention after Kelis Was Here. And I have noticed that the people criticizing her are doing so for things she addressed head on in this interview. She put a lot of herself out there as well.
I see this affecting Nas about as much as it affected Dr. Dre when he was accused of an admitted to abuse. In other words. Not much.

Awwwwww... I remember being so pissed it wasn't getting a release in the US and then getting so excited they had the import at Tower Records (damn I miss Tower Records). Still got it in the collection.
Let me go give this a spin, haven't listened in ages.
