I'll need to give this a deeper and more focused listen at some point this week, but I played it through while doing some mindless work last night and wasn't all that impressed. That could be because it calls for genuine attention from listeners, in which case I really didn't give it a fair shake.
But I do agree with many on here that there isn't something that really stood out to me, at least musically. Maybe lyrically I'll find some real poignance that makes up for the album's overall lack of melody.

Frankie O running game on the industry and making that coin to fund his little Lars von Trier tributes. You are so dumb for that I'm probably dumber for watching the Antichrist from start to finish while sober.

Some songs are growing on me. Self Control is beautiful.

Can't stop listening to this. My favorites right now are "Nights", "Pink + White" and "Nikes".

I really didnt want to speak on this album or my thoughts because I like Frank Ocean and I still bump majority of his debut. Having said that this album represents what i hate about music itself. The hype and media manipulation forming to land him at #1 and surely if left up to only the music that is contained in this album it would struggle. I loathe politics playing a part in music and feel like singles and album and quality of music and a state of organic music lovers buying something they enjoy being ideal.
Having said all that i'm not mad because for once its nice to have media and manipulation helping a artist who is in a genre that I like so fair play is awesome! I'm not impressed at all with this body of work and can barely even imagine a 3rd listen. Its boring, bland and predictable. Its barely even music, it neither contains the intelligent and well formed lyrics or semblance of hooks and melody his first had. he sounds tired and uninspired here and I wait for better music next time from him. However its successful already and will probably land him multiple awards at the Grammys and that is why i stay saying the Grammy Awards are the most manipulated and fake award system known to mankind as far as awards go. #fuckpolitics and return us to actual music and merit system.

Like the album a lot, the best of the year and goes into the same category as Kendrick Lamar´s "Butterfly", I even like Beyonce´s backing vocals, which is the best thing she has released this year(I´m really not into her own album(s)).

Frank is one of my most played artists on last.fm; I've been listening to channel ORANGE, Nostalgia, Ultra as well as his unreleased songs for years and, let's just say I've always enjoyed his music. When I saw his lists on his favorite movies and songs of all time I was thinking "Can this dude get any more perfect?!! I wonder if he's into white guys I need to listen to the newest record ASAP." So, I finally did and welp that was one of the most DULL listening experiences I've ever had in my life. I couldn't even finish most of the songs. I'll just echo the majority of the posts here in saying that basically only "Pink + White" stands out. What a letdown this was, definitely not worth the long ass wait.

Outside of Mama Ocean's cryptic comments, is there any word regarding a physical release for this, not counting what was given away in the Boys Don't Cry magazine?

I have read rumors that a true physical version of what's on iTunes is never coming (unless he sells it himself via his website, which actually wouldn't surprise me) so I decided to have a nice leisurely smoke and listen to this. I am impressed by the artistry but I can see why people say it's boring. It's basically an acoustic album, outside the first couple songs. I appreciate it as something that is nice to put on during a rainy day, on a plane/long bus ride, or when trying to sleep. I don't even mean that in a shady way either because I have albums that serve that purpose beautifully. There are moments that really stick out but as an album, I would put it on the level of Kendrick Lamar's TPAB - artistically brilliant but doesn't exactly warrant multiple listens. You have to be in the mood for it and then, just put it on start to finish.

Really listened to this last night (yes with the lyrics to hear the words and get the meaning) and really hit me.. maybe it's the state I'm in, loving a boy who will never be more than a friend and seeing him date, I can relate to a lot of the songs and Self Control made me tear up... he's too good, it just takes a few listens to absorb but im loving this album

Not anymore! It's still available for me. I actually don't have Spotify but according to Pitchfork, it was removed yesterday. All the songs were there but greyed out and unable to be played. Maybe it was a temporary glitch idk.

I really wish we would get some kind of news on physical editions, vinyl or a new round of magazine distribution. I also want them to make a double BLONDE/ENDLESS album. Everything just seems a bit messy right now and frustrating to be honest. Frank's mother told fans not to shell out the ridiculous amounts of money for the magazine on Ebay and that something was coming so I really hope she is right...

I don't see a double Blonde/Endless especially if reports are correct that Endless was an Universal release and Blonde is on his own. He will have to buy the Endless' album/mastering in order to sell it as a double. I doubt he will go through all of that to do so.

I liked the album a good deal on my first listen but WOW, this has grown on me. I got the chills on several occasions and welled up at "White Ferrari" (I originally thought that was one of my least favorites). The album is brilliant. Its structure is a bit odd with the Solo Reprise-Pretty Sweet-Facebook Story run taking me out of the action for a bit. "Self Control" is my favorite for now but the whole thing is fantastic.
I reeeaaalllly wish Endless would get some sort of official track-by-track release but it seems highly unlikely as of now. The cherry on top would be Nostalgia Ultra going to Spotify.

Still playing this album frequently. Grew on me a lot. The sequence from Nikes to Solo (Reprise) is perfect.

I really wish they would release Endless and Blonde as physical versions. That being said, Endless has aged better for me than Blonde. To be honest, I'm a little letdown with Blonde. I know there is a ton of hype behind it but I'll be the first to admit that it isn't the return I hoped it would be. The second half just makes me zzzzzzzz

Really? Endless? It's basically like 14 interludes of him rambling and three or four actual songs. As critical as I am of Blonde, at least it actually is an album.
As a huge fan of outright pettiness, even I have to stand back and marvel at Endless. He compiled a bunch of nonsense, had his record label release it as an album, got out of his contract and released his real album and kept all the coins for himself. Frank Ocean is the ultimate troll of 2016.

That being said, both projects begin to nosedive for me after the halfway mark. I really wish he would make a complete version of Endless. As his fans who have been holding on for this long, he needs to deliver some goods. I thought by Christmas we would get a physical release of at least Blonde.

Well, there WAS a blink-and-you-missed-it Black Friday physical release of Blonde on his website that was sold separately from the BDC magazine. The CD is still available from his website, albeit inside the magazine (though I have yet to hear any confirmation that he kept the CD in the magazine...) for $80. To be honest, I have resigned myself to just buying the album from iTunes to have it, especially since I am willing to bet that even if a physical CD gets a wide release, it will not be the iTunes version with the extra songs. Hell, Nike isn't even on the physical CD as of now.
