I too hope this can at least go top 5 for Cassadee. This has been one of my favorite songs on radio for the last couple months (even though I'm getting tired of it now), so I hope it can keep going for a bit longer. In regards to her album, it was one of my favorites from 2013. There really isn't a bad song on it, although there are a couple I would avoid as singles. But "11", "I Wish I Could Break Your Heart", "Champagne", "This Car", "Easier To Lie", and "Proved You Wrong" are all great songs and I would love to see a couple of these also become hits for her. Yes, a lot of them are more pop leaning but still great songs and with much of today's country being very heavily pop influenced, unfortunately that may be what some of these new females need to get continual success at country radio.

I had thought this would manage to pick up a bunch of power conversions and get a few weeks in the top 10, but now I'm beginning to wonder if the song is just about done. Cassadee just finally re-passed the peak audience level she reached before Christmas and has been struggling to keep her bullet on the Mediabase chart. Maybe Republic Nashville will be able to work its magic on the song once TBP's song starts falling, but I'm wondering if it may be too late to save this after how badly it's been struggling. Either way, it's pretty pathetic if charts are so manufactured these days that a record label can't have more than a song or two climbing through the top 10 at once.

Naw, I don't think that's the case at all w/Republic. Lots of chart movement has finally happened this week and I think they'll get Cassadee the Top 10 for this and then move on to single #2.

She made it to #10 at Mediabase last week before Jason Aldean passed her on Monday, and could conceivably finish next week at #10; Darius Rucker & the Eli Young Band with both start plunging next week enabling her to pass both of them, and 'Compass' will pass her early next week.
I'm inclined to think that since reaching the top 5 won't really juice sales for her CD, it wouldn't surprise me if her label pulls the plug on this and releases a new single within 2 weeks or so.

I guess that means this is officially done. To be honest I was actually rooting for this one to go top 5. It has significantly grown on me over the past month or so.

Hope her next single is another solid hit for her and she doesn't wind up following the debut era trajectories of Jana or Kacey in terms of single performance. I'm happy with how well this one has done and content with its Top 10 peak, though it would've been nice to see it climb higher, and I would've loved to see it go all the way to No. 1 since it's been a long time we've seen a female send her debut single to the top of the charts.

Cassadee mentioned on this interview last month ( www.youtube.com/watch?v=NgLZD1d1yII ) that her next single is I Wish I Could Break Your Heart, and some details on the possible video, so I think this is what she tweeted about.

This rose 11-10 last week but it was without a bullet, as it lost 1.034 million. On tonight's Billboard chart it holds at #10 for a 2nd week but it lost another 1.030 million. Jon Pardi (#11) has really slowed down as well, and since he's 3 million behind, Cassadee could still somehow limp up a few more places, simply because at least 3 songs should drop below her this week, including label-mates Florida Georgia Line and The Band Perry, in addition to the Zac Brown Band.
So, with that in mind, I could see this treading water for another week or so and rising to #7 by default, but after that I hope it opens up a top 10 spot. Or, it could be that they'll just be fine with the #10 peak and we'll see this start to fall quicker in the coming days. Too soon to tell just yet..

I'm pretty sure they're happy with a Top 10 with this and are soon to move on to the next single. Yeah, I'm sure they are. I was just saying that, if this stays more or less 'flat' for another week, it would probably move to #7 by default. Blake should blast into the top 10 already next week, and I'd bet Jon Pardi finally gets in as well. It definitely looks like "Don't Let Me Be Lonely" will go recurrent and "Stay" should as well. Zac Brown Band could join them as well if "Sweet Annie" falls far enough. And, of course, if Cassadee falls to #11 in spins or audience she'll go recurrent herself. But just saying that, if this one doesn't collapse, it would automatically rise a few spots because of the songs that will drop below her :) I am more than ready for them to move on, although her next single doesn't do much for me, so I guess I'm probably neutral. I like her voice, but this song has really burned on me.

Yeah, It's been playing for a long while now. That she's Top 10 as a female with her debut single is good. Hopefully that new single follows suit for other female artists to break out. We'll see. Kacey and Jana (the most recent females to break into the Top 10 couldn't get a follow-up single there). I actually think Cassadee will do it. Guess is the BMLG connection that has me feeling good about Cassadee's chances (same goes for Danielle Bradbery).

It also helps that Cassadee's follow up is as radio friendly or even more so than her debut. Although Kacey and Jana's follow ups were excellent songs, they probably shouldn't have been singles.
If Danielle goes with Talk About Love, she will be fine.
Cassadee's album really has no songs on it that can't be singles and I could see all of them being hits while Danielle has some major duds on her album to avoid

There's a lot of songs in the top 10 ready to drop it seems. I could even see a senario where Jon Pardi's song falls off next week. Is there a chance that Zac Brown Band, Florida Georgia Line, The Band Perry, Cassadee Pope & Jon Pardi all leave the chart next week? I doubt it but it'd be the most impressive housecleaning we've seen in a while. Most likely UMG will let David start falling and start focusing more attention on Jon and he'll surive the week. Still possibly 40% of the top 10 could be replaced next week, that should prove to be interesting for the rest of the chart.

I believe the reason why BMLG is not pulling support on this one still is that there are songs above that already falling out, and the song below is still quite far from jumping WATT. This can really move up a couple of spots even without a bullet, as what jhomes87 said. Since I think this is already done, I hope they will just let it fall now to open up spots.

That peak of #9 which she reached a few days ago at Mediabase will have to suffice, and her label has to be pleased with her promotion team's performance in getting this wonderful tune this high.
I'm inclined to think that her label is undoubtedly ready to move on to her next single, and especially with Blake Shelton and Dierks Bentley in line to pass her by the end of this week, with Thompson Square and/or Randy Houser likely to scoot by her as well.
Nevertheless this is a terrifc debut single, but like 'From A Table Away', I wish it would have done better chartwise.

A second week at #10. I was sure Cassadee Pope would have gone recurrent.

A second week at #10. I was sure Cassadee Pope would have gone recurrent. Why's that? It was basically treading water all week, and it had a big lead over the #11 song. Can't fall out of the top 10 unless someone from below passes you up! ;) But today's loss of 605k does make it seem likely that this one won't be able to hang around any longer. It'd odd, though, because Jon Pardi is still 300 spins behind and his song has come to a complete stop. All he needs is a small gain this week and he'll easily land in the top 10. I think he'll manage to get there, but just barely. Impressive drop for the ZBB song this morning. Down 385 spins and 2.8 million. So we have 2 songs falling really hard (Sweet Annie + Don't Let Me Be Lonely), another falling at a normal rate (Stay), and a 4th one the verge of collapse (WATT). Question is, are 4 songs ready to enter the top 10? Four songs definitely appear ready to leave, but the next 4 in line aren't exactly blasting up the chart right now (aside from Blake). The aforementioned Pardi song is on life support. Thompson Square isn't really blazing a trail, but they're gaining decently well so they'll probably be able to take one of the top 10 spots. Blake Shelton just jumped 19-14 on Billboard with a gain of more than 5 million (!) last week, and another big gain this week, perhaps in the 4-5 million range, would shoot him ahead of Frankie, Thompson Square, and Jon, plus he could gain another 4 spots if those 4 top 10 songs do go recurrent. Could Blake jump 14-7 on the next Billboard chart? It looks quite possible. Florida Georgia Line could wind up getting another week in the top 10 if one of the three from among Jon, Thompson Square, and Frankie is unable to gain enough (to enter the top 10). Pretty good run for Cassadee, but I'm not as excited about the 2nd single as others are. We do need some more successful females on the format, but I've found that I enjoy the recent output from Kacey, Jana, Sheryl, Kellie, and Maggie more than I like Cassadee's material. I shouldn't complain, though--radio has been fairly welcoming to Cassadee so far.
