Aww :( I'm moderately interested to hear what it's like but that's around where my interest ends; I honestly don't see much point in doing an acoustic version of an album that's already pretty acoustic. even if her voice has changed a lot since. My thought exactly. I love it when she throws acoustic into the mix though and I'm sure I'll find a way to buy this regardless. I'm essentially in love with anything she lays her voice to and Innocent Eyes slayed me completely and always will. I was hoping for B-sides :'(

I have been playing "Touch" over and over, and then I have been playing "Hunters & The Wolves" over and over, and then I have been playing "Alcohol" over and over, and though some album tracks I love may not have been the best singles, I'm going to repeat myself and say the whole album was mishandled. "Sitting On Top Of The World" was good for the lead single, and I understand what they were attempting to do with "Dancing With A Broken Heart," and I respect their decision to revert to what they knew would have success when they released "Wish You Were Here," but the era did not have to end then. That such a strong album has seen such little success is rather heartbreaking.
I have some high expectations for the new album, because they seem to be connecting her with some more America-related writers and I hope that means they have some plans over here - and more plans than what they had for Delta. They need to be persistent and consistent. I just fear that she has started creating more music like "Dancing With A Broken Heart" and "Heart Hypnotic" which - though I love both tracks - would sound rather dated next year considering that type of music has already started dissipating.

Ryan Tedder: After working with Delta Goodrem on The Voice this year, the pair wrote her Top 10 dance hit "Heart Hypnotic." "That song was difficult for both of us - we were out of our comfort zones," Tedder says. "But I like doing things that don't make sense if you can get away with it." He feels Goodrem could "100-per-cent" work in America with the right song. Now they're trying to write it.
"The key is figuring out a new approach. For a decade Delta's had this shockingly large career in Australia. But if you lived in the same house for 10 years one day you walk in and go, that's it, I'm painting all the walls, the furniture, burning the rugs. I like the foundation, let's renovate. That's the frame of mind she's in - I've mined the same thing, I've had repeated success, how can I reinvent the wheel? She has a million different things going for her."

Delta force – In the decade since Innocent Eyes was released, Delta Goodrem has grown up, and grown stronger
BRW magazine recently estimated Goodrem's earnings for the past year at $1 million. The Hollywood home stands as a testament to all of Goodrem's material successes so far (six million albums sold worldwide; a star of The Voice, one of the highest-rating television shows in Australia for the past two years), as well as her relentless determination to fulfil her ultimate ambition – cracking the US market. And that lifelong dream might finally be within reach. She is currently in the throes of writing and recording her fifth studio album, her first fully-fledged American release, due out next year.
It's not that Goodrem has gone completely unnoticed since moving to the US. In 2011, she received praise when an estimated 21 million people watched her perform as a last-moment stand-in for a sick Adele on America's Dancing With The Stars. Then there was her short-lived romance with teen heart-throb Nick Jonas (shock-horror – almost eight years her junior), which brought her into the viewfinders of LA's paparazzi. But more significantly, Goodrem is now represented in the US by Irving Azoff, the man Billboard magazine recently called the most powerful person in the American music industry. Azoff's talent agency also represents megastars such as Christina Aguilera.
"I think we have some very powerful moments coming up," Goodrem says. "I want to make the album of my life in the next few months. I've built up a fantastic team over the years and we've got wonderful things in the pipeline. I've got patience and I believe in timing."
While her life in the US is all about the future, back here in Australia, for the moment at least, the focus is back on a chapter from her past. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the release of her record-breaking debut album, Innocent Eyes. "These 10 years feel like 20," she notes, wryly. Her record label is commemorating the milestone by releasing a 10th anniversary edition of the album, which has sold 1.2 million copies in Australia and over four million worldwide.

"It's coming together a lot quicker than I thought it would, which is kind of what happened when I got back [to California]. I was like - I feel like I hit a stride very quickly, so hopefully in the new year."

"Upbeat, grittier, and feistier." Goodrem, who is based in LA, is plotting a "killer year" as she focuses on a new album and a less-demanding role as a television talent judge. Goodrem said her new songs will show a new, rejuvenated side.
"The songs are a little more upbeat, grittier and feistier than before," she said. "I'm feeling freer than I've ever felt. I have no limit to what I'm doing and I'm letting people see my fun side." She's so fucking stunning.

There's a tougher, political side to Delta Goodrem we don't often see. The celebrated pop singer has joined the growing chorus of celebrities calling for same-sex marriage to be legalized. And she's putting her money where her mouth is by marching in the annual Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Parade on Saturday.
"I believe in equality," she says. "It is a non-conversation for me. Some of my best friends are gay, so I can't understand any other way of thinking except that love is love."
Goodrem will appear in an official capacity as the face of Oral-B's new 3D White tooth whitening range. She'll be on the Oral-B float and will perform at Sydney's Taylor Square during the parade.
