This just got registered on AllAccess; it's from the soundtrack to Despicable Me 2. You can hear the radio edit here. Lyric video:

Nice song. Normally, I wouldn't think this had any chance at pop radio, but with the other songs he's featured on doing so well right now, who knows.

Summer 2013 is really the summer of Pharrell, isn't it?

One of his better solo tracks even if it pales in comparison to most of his recent collabos.

This song sounds very similar to Hello by T.I./Cee-Lo Green imo. It's a good tune though.

"Hello" is also produced by Pharrell.
I *love* this. "Despicable Me 2" is set to open to huge numbers, so maybe people will get curious about this song?

This is huge here, it's always on the radio.
They should release this in the US. It's amazing and deserves to be a hit there.

I love this song because it's so upbeat. Hope it gets played here in the US.

Well, Talk dirty will be a six months later hit because Jason Derulo (or his bosses) decided to go with Marry me as second single in the USA. I didn't hear Happy in any spanish radio yet (but i'm not hearing a lot of radio lately) but i heard the song a lot of times in Portugal radio stations

It's weird because this is from a soundtrack to a movie that came out several months ago already. It wouldn't be the first time a song was on a soundtrack and became a hit way after the movie was out of theaters, but it's interesting. I wonder if they'll push this at all in the US since he's due to have a studio album out in 2014, and they mat just wait for the lead single from that to push him here. His solo career was more successful outside the US the first time around. His only solo single that did anything at all in the US was "Frontin'," while "Can I I Have It Like That" was a big hit in the UK and "Angel" did alright too. I'd honestly be surprised if this was a hit in the US anyway. I think it would have had a better shot if they gave it more of a push when the movie was out and when he was featured on the two biggest hits of the summer. It seems this is performing better in sales than airplay in Europe too.

That song was a HUGE hit in the US long after it left theaters and after it was out on DVD.

One of the biggest gaps I can think of is Dave Stewart's "Lily Was Here," which was a hit nearly two years after the soundtrack it was featured on came out (although it was promoted as a single from Candy Dulfer's album at that point).

Of course it was because the chorus was part of Eminem's Stan (at the end Thank you was a way bigger hit than Stan)

Reminds me of Gnarls Barkely's "Smiley Face." LOVED that song. The commercial is making this grow on me.
