There are a bunch of requirements for members of the Opry including a minimum number of performance obligations...so, it's not for everyone. It looks like a genuine surprise when artists are asked. So who makes the decision if it is for the artist or not if the artist doesn't know in advance they are going to be asked?

You couldn’t make me watch Fox & Friends if my feet were nailed to the flooring of the physical set of the show.

For a bit the opry was adding superstar names, who (with the exception of Carrie) barely play there. Lately it seems they've been adding new members who actually want to play the opry. Janson has a couple known songs, & he's willing to play the shows.
Miranda certainly has the resume, but when was the last time she played there? It doesn't seem like membership is high on her priority list.

Now that was also when she was still with Blake and that was very high on his list. This was something a little more recent:

I'm hoping the Judds or Tanya Tucker make the Country Music Hall of Fame this year!

Artists are invited to PLAY the Opry on any given night...who accepts routinely vs who doesn't accept...Artists who don't live in the greater Nashville area are less likely to accept playing often. For some it's something to on a Saturday night when not touring. And the pay is union scale. It's live radio which is down.to.the.minute.scheduling. You play your 15 minutes, not a minute more. Not everyone is a fan of the regimentation or the pay.

She moved during the writing process for TWOTW, and she’s played at the Opry since that move. And while the same went for Blake, in that he doesn’t live in Nashville and didn’t when he was inducted, he’s yet to once fulfill the quota of 10 Opry performances by each member per year. Curious to see if Miranda’s relocation to Nashville changes the number of times she appears in the circle.

Miranda moved to Nashville 2.5-3 years ago, and I think she's played the Opry once since (in 2015), maybe another time I missed? Just doesn't seem to be her thing.

So this random song 'When It Comes to Loving You' by Jon Langston that hit #1 on the all-genre chart on iTunes today... I've never heard of this dude. I see he shares management with Luke and Cole, and good for him. But this REEKS of a chart-jack to me. Like, maybe I could see him grabbing #1 at country, but there's no way he honestly got this without some "help" right?

Just about anything ORB puts a 4 part harmony to is guaranteed to be exceptional...I saw them last year (for like the thousanth time)...and they've still got it...harmonies were tight and all 4 voices are still crystal clear...Joe Bonsall still is the loopiest thing going.

I only saw Daryle once. He was on his second or third show of his career, opening up for Sammy Kershaw and Randy Travis. He was also in Travis' band still at the time.
