Sorry for posting the link to the initial story. Didn't realize the surveillance camera told a different story. Sorry about that.

Sorry for posting the link to the initial story. Didn't realize the surveillance camera told a different story. Sorry about that. No need to apologize! It’s what was reported initially, it’s good for people to see how easily one can embellish an account of something in their favor. You’d think Chris had a manic episode based on how the police report was written. I’m glad for his sake there’s clear evidence to the contrary. I don’t know the guy but he hardly seems like someone who’d assault an officer. He also has extra reason to be concerned with a photo of his ID out there; he’s not super famous but there is heightened risk that comes with millions of people knowing who you are.

He did absolutely nothing wrong.

This news is a week old, but Margo Smith, who had two #1 country hits in 1978 (both of which were remakes), passed away at age 84 of complications from a stroke.

Hi friends - just wanted to share this since I'm pretty proud of it :) My best friend is a singer/songwriter (piano driven pop typically) and I asked her to co-write a wedding song for my now husband (as of Friday!) to surprise him with as our first dance song at our wedding. I had the idea for the concept and the hook and she helped me with the melody and some of the lyrics. She recorded it and released it on Friday and it was a huge hit at the wedding for my husband and all our guests (nobody else knew but my friend and me). It's a pop song with some country influences due to my passion for country songwriting and wanted to share in case anyone was interested! He grew up in the suburb of Houston where NASA is located so that's where my inspiration for this came from. Hope you enjoy :) music.apple.com/us/album/houston/1723956525?i=1723956526

The Rucker arrest is a joke since it was pot. Young's was bs. Elle has issues.

WYRK helping out St. Jude's: They had a radiothon on Keey K102 in December and it was very powerful I still remember the last song they played was “Angels Among Us” by Alabama and everyone at the station was very emotional by the end of it.

Awe I am so happy for her (even if I am always going to side eye her friendship with the Aldeans).

Congrats to Lauren! She also teased this song the other day and I think this 100% sounds like a breakthrough country radio smash more so than anything she's released with Big Loud thus far. I could see it being the song to get her back up the charts. http://instagram.com/p/C23HW07ubIQ

Toby Keith passed away. www.cnn.com/2024/02/06/entertainment/toby-keith-death?cid=ios_appHe may very well be the first 90s superstar to pass? One of the first at least… his music was the soundtrack to my childhood growing up in the mid 90s and early 2000s. We probably heard his music the most within that timeframe. RIP to an absolute legend of the genre.

Daryle Singletary, Mindy McCready, Jeff Carson, Kevin Sharp, Lari White and Doug Supernaw cone to mind. All not on the superstar level Toby was but they all had hits in the 90’s.

I didn’t mean to discount anyone, but I was thinking superstars at Toby’s level, he’s one of the eternal A-listers, imo, a name that country music fans will know on a regular basis for generations to come. I think he’s the first from the 90s on that level. But again, just saying this to signify the impact of his loss for millennial country fans who grew up happily inundated with his music! I remember car rides to the family campground blasting and screaming “I wanna take about me, wanna talk about I, wanna talk about my me my, what I think, what I like, what I know, what I want, what I seeeeeee!! I like talkin’ about you you you usually, but occasionally, I wanna talk about meeeeee! MeeEee!” …. Whatever his politics were, those type of memories are priceless.
