Wow. So happy this is killing it right now. The video is only going to strengthen it.
This era might not be as successful as Teenage Dream(hard to top) but its already starting out very well for Katy :)

I hope the video is like "Katy Perry, queen of the jungle, saves the rainforest" or something like that. I've never been looking forward to a video so much!!

I still believe Ace's source about jumping off of the bridge. It looked like it was even set up for it but something went wrong/they realized it wasn't a good idea. I actually saw my friend from MTV yesterday and asked him about the whole thing, as I was obviously curious too. He said that she/her people wanted to change the performance on Friday at the last minute. He didn't mention the permit thing, but that certainly sounds like a plausible reason. He said they were really difficult about it too and that it caused a huge uproar with the VMA staff having to change everything so last-minute like that. Besides there was never any concrete evidence that she had bigger plans for this performance...the jumping off the Brooklyn Bridge thing sounds like a crazy fan rumor. LOL bye.

Round 1: The one-hit wonder girl gets her first #1 on the Hot 100. Round 2: Thinking she would fade, she shut the haters up and spent 6 weeks at the top. Round 3: Proving her stay in the pop music world, she gave us another summer jam. Round 4: What is now one of her signature hits, it has also become her best-selling single to date (6.3 million copies). Round 5: Perry lands her 5th #1 and shows us how to fall in love with someone out of the ordinary. Round 6: The historic 5th #1 from Teenage Dream (6th overall in her carer) solidified her name in pop history. Round 7: Her first #1 debut, due to a fiery performance at the 2012 Grammys, earned Perry her 7th #1 hit in just under 4 years. Round 8: Back with a vengeance and a new attitude, she's once again proving why she's a champion.

that's not Katy Perry tho. In the same way Snoop Lion is not Snoop Dogg? I bet if it was successful everyone would put it under Perry's discography. ;)

She should easily sell over 200k in the UK this week then. I'm not sure. Well first I wonder if pre-orders are included in the ~100k, and also she'll slow down some as the week goes on. 200k definitely possible but I wouldn't say it will be easy.
