According to her MTV interview in 2012 (GH era), My December is her favourite record. She had many favourite songs on AIEW (IICHY, Ready, AIEW, WYWBMD,...) Yeah, she said Stronger was her best one... vocally! I still want to know which song she was "meh" about ending up on the album.
I totally get her argument about the right timing for the x-mas record... now she's in the right "mood" for that (-> Brandon) and has found the perfect producer for it!

She did say Stronger was her best album a few times. I remember in one interview they asked her how happy with it she was, and she said 99% happy and the only reason why it wasn't 100% was because Why Don't You Try wasn't on it (but was an iTunes bonus track).

I remember her saying Stronger was her best album early on, and then adjusting it saying it was her best-sounding album vocally. As for AIEW, I think she was saying a lot of "I love all four of my albums equally because they represent different periods in my life" or something. But yeah, she's had at least a dozen best/favorite songs.

$2.19 for White Christmas. Um, girl.
EDIT: NVM! It's Australian iTunes so exchange and blah blah blah.
Anyway, I'm dead, buried in snow after listening to the clip.

I was worried of the album's production sounding "cheap" but that clip allayed all my fears. It exudes pure class. I can hear it playing in a store I'm doing christmas shopping that that I have no business being in because it's far too expensive.
YAS!

The clip sounds BEAUTIFUL. White Christmas was one I wasn't looking forward to as much as the rest, just because I've never found the song that exciting, but this seriously sounds like a classic. The tone of her voice>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

It sounds great but it is boring. That's not Kelly's fault, though. White Christmas is your classic background music. It is a smart release to get people interested because I'm sure her other single will be the big hit. This just lets people know that Kelly has a Christmas album coming out and it will have classics on it.
Oh. And who knows how to put iTunes back to another country (USA) after listening to that clip? I'm on an iPhone.

Love how Kelly's voice sounds in the clip. That's what I'm really looking forward to with this album - I think Christmas songs will really allow her voice to shine. I wish she would sound more like THIS in her studio songs. Where you can really hear the depth and texture of her voice.

Her voice is absolutely exquisite. I agree with an above poster who noted that Christmas tunes will allow the texture in her voice to shine. But the production makes an already sleepy song almost comatose.

She sounds gorgeous, and I assume this is the quiet, gooey center of the album. I expect more exciting, unique spins on some of the lesser-classic Christmas songs, and for her to stick fairly close to the playbook for songs like "White Christmas" and "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas." This one is a bit sleepy, but I think its lullaby quality works for the song.

The way her voice is produced on "White Christmas" is actually perfect.

If this song is buried in the middle-end of the album, we are in for a real treat. This is beautiful.

Her voice sounds like velvet there. It's so soft, deep, and beautiful, yet it has this slight husk that makes you think that she's full of wisdom. I also love the slight turn-of-the-century New Englander accent that she has going on for several words like "dreaming" and "I'm." It's hard to explain exactly what I mean, but it makes sense in my head.
What's most important is that the song transports me to Christmas. It feels like Christmas just by listening to it.

I think this might be the best that the tone of her voice has been showcased on a studio recording.

This sounds EXACTLY the way I hoped it would sound. So classic, and shimmery, and the piano just sparkles in that song. So good.

Her voice makes that thing come together. Its unremarkable in everything else but its remarkable in that her voice is remarkable enough to carry the song. That's a rarity amongst today's unremarkable peers. I'm here for vocals on a christmas album so hopefully more is in store.
When is this next great christmas lead single suppose to be out?

I believe Greg Kurstin produced the entire album, right?
Amazing. I agree with Nightfire that the song immediately makes me feel like I am transported to Christmas. Can't wait for "Under The Tree" and the full album!

That TONE....I'm melting here, seriously. Besides nearly every facet of vocal talent, Kelly has raised the bar for vocal tone in 12th year of her career, no less !
In this track, you hear Kelly manipulating her voice from chest to head voice SO effortlessly countless times. Kelly's rich, buttery, open tone is at the pinnacle of possible vocal tones, IMO, and has not been heard from a mainstream female artist from any genre since Mariah Carey at her peak. It is so da*n smooth that it almost sounds "wet". My other favourite thing about her voice here is how rich her deeper tones have become over the years, so much so that the combination of her tone and phrasing resembles that of some of the best jazz vocalists.
A+++ as a "teaser" single !
