I see her promoting less, I'm not sure about her touring less since that seems to be her favorite part about the fame.

I think she has been pretty adamant about maintaining a decent career, or at least that's what she seems to be insisting every interview. My guess is that means she'll make the transition a bit more formally to country, because it will allow her to maintain somewhat mainstream success and relevance while also not forcing her to travel too far, or to record in places away from home. It's very localized for her in Nashville.
It's not necessarily what I want... I've always wanted Kelly to make a sort of old school, 90's influenced R&B soul record with a lot of collaborations: Justin Timberlake, Beyonce, Adele, etc. that gets her critical acclaim and guaranteed commercial interest. I think what she needs is to refine her albums and remove filler material, and work with people outside her comfort zone. But if country is the alternative, the kind of bluesy country rock she has been recording so far is definitely preferable.

Hopefully her feet dont become as fat as Mimi's during her ordeal of a pregnancy babies are cute once they pop out but the morning sickness, fat feet, urine and swollen throat is not my cup of tea, I personally rather adopt. I think she should call her child Skylar or Dane its cute white ppl names that i cant use myself. How do we feel this baby will affect her career? Does she want to raise her babies and new husband somewhere in the country and kinda drift away from the public eye? Does the painful pregnancy inspire new music? Does anyone else agree she should move away from mainstream pop and do soulful Nashville country music I eagerly await some intelligent answers. ugh, as if the youtube comments weren't enough, people HERE (don't or do) want her to sing specific genres, wtf? it's Kelly Chameleon Clarkson! Here my intelligent answer: The queen shall and will continue doing what she always has been doing. I think she made it clear and makes it obvious that she loves and rocks every effing genre! I love her for being versatile, because, just like her, I love all kinds of music. In case you're in a certain mood or want to listen to a specific genre by her, well, then an own playlist with the few same-genre-songs from each album and you have a full one-genre-Kelly-album! That's what I love about her - She simly CAN'T get boring, 'cuz she'd always have enough songs of each genre to satisfy my need for certain music I wanna listen to [to be exact... she has endlessly many songs! Beside official releases (including bonus, deluxe tracks, EPs etc.), we have so many demos, unreleased stuff and all possible covers on Youtube... I don't get how that's not enough and yeah the pregnancy stuff... I'm 100% sure there will be a song about vomitting called "Dozen Times A Day" Aw, don't take it so seriously! It was a joking post, no harm meant. Coco is good peeps. If Kelly does go country I think I need her to write her own songs. I know this is a point of contention but I personally love her writing, particularly when we're talking about the songs from the AIEW pre-shows. However, when she picks out songs that other people have written we get stuff like Don't Rush and Tie It Up - both quite cute songs that probably would have been acceptable from Miranda or Carrie, but not amazing enough to tolerate from an 'outsider.' She has the country industry on her side but she is going to have to bowl the country audiences over with undeniably amazing songs if she wants to really 'get in' with them, b/c they're pretty resistant to her (for no other reason really than that she's not country). It's not that there aren't people out there who could write these smashes for her, but for some reason Kelly's own writing comes much closer to accomplishing that than the songs she is choosing for herself, which is kind of weird to me. I do love that country doesn't really have one set sound for its women so she has options...she can go country rock, or veer into the Kacey Musgraves lane, or go old school Patsy Cline on us (my personal preference). If she goes for country rock then she will probably need some co-writers, b/c that's the one area of country where the hook is probably the most important part of the song and doing hooks really isn't Kelly's style, from what we've seen/heard of her writing.

Damn this forum is so challenging when it comes to 'is it sarcastic or not' with all the haters coming here every now and then.. Anyway, some AIEW- pre-show-songs are amazing! Between The Lines Call Me Far From Home I Can Do Better I Wish I Could Be Lonely Instead I'm Not The Only One So Far Apart Song To You Can't judge the rest, cuz I don't know it too well, but the mentioned ones are great! However, I don't mind her doing any special, one-genre-oriented-projects like the country one she's doing as long as she stays POP! And 'pop' has no limits in Kelly's world

I love (read: hate) when people consider country to be "below" her and her career. The format has been huge lately. Sure, feel free to hate this different direction because you dislike country overall, but labeling the country format "irrelevant" really only makes you look ignorant, and that I know you are not.

Hey, top ten! Kelly Clarkson's holiday album "Wrapped in Red" unspools 5-10 with 62,000 (down 50%).

The US doesn't really support her solo-country-efforts -> Of course her country project will feature country stars. She can't even afford to become a country star - I don't even get why people even expect it when she herself keeps saying (what I love hearing) that she'll never change and stay versatile. As much as she's done in country, the core of her music is POP.
