The title is atrocious but I guess it's pretty much confirmed. I'll be disgusted if RuPaul is involved though. I hope it was a joke. Why would you be disgusted?

Prrrrrretty sure this isn't a 'comeback'. Just a new era. And I'm so excited - hoping for Britney domination. I've always pulled for her.....

Questionable reputation? Interesting. I could see the argument in 2007 but in 2013? Full 180 as far as public admiration is concerned.

Britney has a hardcore fanbase, but GP, especially outside the U.S., mostly does not respect Britney Spears as an artist. There is a huge difference between artist credibility and being admired by the general public. As far as America goes, she can honestly do no wrong at this point.

i doubt rupaul is actually on the song but hes most likely in the video. the video is gonna be one hot gay mess. but who hasnt gone that road. kylie has done that. madonna has done that. yet theyre respected. britney isnt respected as a performer nowadays sure, but her music still demands anticipation. i doubt other popstars like katy and rihanna are much more taken seriously than Brit worldwide.

Why would you be disgusted? There's enough people who don't take Britney Spears seriously, and making a glorious comeback with RuPaul, is this a joke? Or is he a respected name in the music business that I'm not aware of? Sometimes I wonder what her management thinks. RuPaul had some successful singles and albums in the 90s. "Supermodel" was RuPaul's biggest and most well-known hit. "Back To My Roots", "House Of Love", "A Shade Shady (Now Prance)", "A Little Bit Of Love", and "Snapshot" were some of the other successful club singles. While Ru is more known for Drag Race and stuff, the music was always well-produced and fun. I think the "you better work bitch" spoken part is sampled as the main hook (I haven't heard the new song so I don't know), but that would make the most sense. Having RuPaul in the video would be totally apropos if the sampling happened. Remember when Stevie Nicks appeared in the "Bootylicious" video for a second when Destiny's Child used a sample from "Edge Of Seventeen"?

There is a huge difference between artist credibility and being admired by the general public. As far as America goes, she can honestly do no wrong at this point. Well there's 195 countries in the world and she hasn't gone Platinum in Europe/IFPI since In The Zone, so not sure how far that admiration goes outside the States. Her and her team's focus in terms of audience is clearly America though so most of the other countries are mere icing to Britney Inc. but that is neither here nor there.

Prrrrrretty sure this isn't a 'comeback'. Just a new era. And I'm so excited - hoping for Britney domination. I've always pulled for her..... Whatever. She hasn't had an album for 2.5 years, and the material on Album 8 is allegedly “personal.” Now we hear the lead single may be titled Werk Bitch and may feature RuPaul. I know it's not Britney who's making decisions, but whoever it is, they're harming her already questionable reputation. But this could all be rumors, idk. PLEASE. She's giving her (ridiculously large, your fave could never, etc.) fanbase exactly what it wants. Nothing more. Nothing less. And I for one couldn't be happier about that.

I've been playing Get Back the whole day. I seriously think that if she releases that song now, it has the potential of becoming a hit. The average person won't know it's a bonus song from Blackout since the sound is still fresh and so much better than most songs on the radio right now.

This thread is all kinds of messy. Is it even 100% official that we're getting a single release on 9/17? I'm aware it's a natural assumption, but did we ever hear from the official sources that 9/17 is about the single?

GM was iconic but it wasn't laughable. RuPaul either sampled or in the video? Maybe if she was an old hag or in need of attention... Unless the song is what others are saying personal and people telling her to work the stage? Then I LOVE it. LMAO watch this video be drag queens and gays with minimal Britney in it. J/k
