Isn't that a bit low for Big Sean? Nice numbers for AS though

Not considering the absolute lack of buzz or radio airplay. He started at 75-80k for his last album, so I'd say this is about right. Not to mention the album kind of sucks.
Great numbers for Juicy J, on the other hand.

I also feel that's kind of low for Sean. Finally Famous debuted with 87k and I feel he has a much higher profile now than he did then, especially since the Cruel Summer features. Not to mention all the 'Control' hoopla that should have at least pushed it to 100k even with Kendrick being the star. Pretty disappointing.

I think "Guap" not doing well can attest to his low sales.

I think "Guap" not doing well can attest to his low sales. That song was the definition of unremarkable. It felt like a track that would have been left off of a mixtape and they chose it as a lead single. His team has no idea what they're doing.

Mandisa (AI alum) is releasing a new album today and has gotten decent publicity today on Katie and GMA, and has a huge Christian song right now, and has recieved smashing reviews for the album. I could see her selling around 15k

His sales were so low last week so obviously he won't reach 20k based on one mediocre performance on tv... That'd been way over 100% increase.
Great 3rd week for Luke Bryan.

www.billboard.com/biz/articles/news/5679984/big-sean-juicy-j-and-alabama-tribute-heading-for-top-10-on-billboard-200Big Sean, Juicy J and Alabama Tribute Heading for Top 10 on Billboard 200 By Keith Caulfield, Los Angeles | August 30, 2013 6:52 PM EDT Rappers Big Sean and Juicy J, along with a new tribute album to country band Alabama, are headed for the top of the Billboard 200 albums chart next week. Industry sources suggest Big Sean's new "Hall of Fame" could sell approximately 70,000 copies in the week ending Sept. 1, which should enable it to make a top three debut next week. It's the follow-up to his debut studio effort, "Finally Famous," which opened at No. 3 in 2011 with 87,000, according to Nielsen SoundScan. As previously reported, rock band Avenged Sevenfold is on its way to a second No. 1 album. Its new "Hail to the King" should bow in the top slot with between 160,000 and 175,000. The new Billboard 200 chart's top 10 will be revealed on the morning of Sept. 4. Academy Award winner Juicy J, who is also a member of rap act Three 6 Mafia, should see his new solo album, "Stay Trippy," bow in the top 10. It might sell around 60,000. It will easily mark the best week for any of Juicy J's solo sets. He's never gone higher than No. 93 on the chart (with 2002's "Chronicles of the Juice Man: Underground Album"). Juicy J won the 2005 Academy Award for best original song. He co-wrote "It's Hard Out Here For a Pimp" from the film "Hustle & Flow." Finally, the fourth top 10 debut next week will come from the new tribute album "Alabama & Friends." The 12-song set, which features contemporary stars covering some of Alabama's biggest hits, might sell around 25,000. The new collection also includes two new songs from Alabama itself: "That's How I Was Raised" and "All American." Alabama has scored 33 No. 1s on Billboard Hot Country Songs chart -- the most of any group in history. The new tribute album includes eight of those No. 1s, as covered by the likes of Florida Georgia Line, Kenny Chesney, Luke Bryan and Jason Aldean. On SoundScan's Building chart (below), Avenged Sevenfold and Big Sean are Nos. 1 and 2, respectively. The Building tally is a precursor to the final Billboard 200 ranking, reflecting the first four days (Monday through Thursday) of SoundScan's tracking week as reported by six major merchants. As for the rest of the top 10: Luke Bryan's current Billboard 200 champ, "Crash My Party," is No. 3, while Juicy J is No. 4. Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines" sits at No. 5 and Justin Timberlake's "The 20/20 Experience" is No. 6. The latter is poised to make a return to the top 10, following his performance and multiple wins on the Aug. 25 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs). The album might see a weekly sales gain of 160%, rising to perhaps 40,000 copies for the week ending Sept. 1. John Mayer's "Paradise Valley" is No. 7 on the building chart, while the Alabama tribute collection is No. 8. Bruno Mars' "Unorthodox Jukebox" is No. 9 -- again, set to rise due to exposure on the VMAs. Closing out the Building chart's top 10 is TGT's "Three Kings," at No. 10. Nielsen SoundScan Building Chart Rank LW BB 200 Artist Title 1 NEW Avenged Sevenfold "Hail to the King" 2 NEW Big Sean "Hall of Fame" 3 1 Luke Bryan "Crash My Party" 4 NEW Juicy J "Stay Trippy" 5 6 Robin Thicke "Blurred Lines" 6 22 Justin Timberlake "The 20/20 Experience" 7 2 John Mayer "Paradise Valley" 8 NEW Various Artists "Alabama & Friends" 9 18 Bruno Mars "Unorthodox Jukebox" 10 3 TGT "Three Kings" The Building Chart reflects the first four days (Monday through Thursday) of SoundScan's tracking week (which ends Sunday) as reported by six major merchants: iTunes, Trans World Entertainment, Best Buy, Starbucks, Target and Anderson Merchandisers. Billboard estimates that they make up about 85% of all U.S. album sales.

www.hitsdailydouble.com/news/rumormill.cgiSALE AWAY: Ten recent and current hit albums went up for sale Sunday at $6.99, and they immediately took over the leaderboard, with all but OneRepublic in the Top 10, and it's #11. Luke Bryan is the only non-$6.99 album on the chart right now. It’ll be interesting to see which of a modest slate of new releases will elbow their way into the thick of the action at the changeover. We’ll put our money on Republic’s Ariana Grande, which is selling for $7.99 on pre-order and presently sits at #15. Hers is one of three $7.99 sale albums in the Top 20, along with Teen Beach Movie (#14) and Bruno Mars (#18) also on sale, going for $7.99. The $6.99 sale runs through Thursday. (9/2p) UPDATE: We were right for once—Ariana Grande is #1 this morning, followed by the debuting Nine Inch Nails (Columbia) and Bastille (Virgin). But five $6.99 LPs remain in the Top 10. More soon. If Jaheim sells more than John Legend, that would be some sh*t......

John Legend has definitely fallen far. he has no Hit single right now on any of the Urban Formats, while Jaheim has a Big HIT on Urban AC so that could explain their situation.
