Denver? Why is she recording in the high altitude of Colorado, that cant be good for her breathing and vocals. It doesn't matter. We all know her studio vocal will be edited to hell and back to make her sound halfway decent.

When it comes to breathing, moving and singing, there are some issues.

Interestingly(?), her Facebook page has disappeared - attempting to go to facebook.com/rihanna takes you to your News Feed. ETA: More interestingly(?), her iTunes artist page has been going down on and off in the past few minutes. *watches like a hawk*

Just bought Unapologetic. It's the only Rihanna album I've never heard!

Rihanna appeared on Good Morning America today to talk Mac & the Viva Glam Campaign for which she's a spokesperson, receiving the Icon Award at the AMAs last November, and new music.

Rihanna does not give any legendary pussy pats in the CRTFY video, but she humps a wall and gropes Shakira.

Anyway, I actually kinda miss her? Not that she's been off radio that long, but just not having new material from her by now. Feels weird, man.

In the studio with Alex da Kid: I'm expecting a single at least by summer. She usually records for about 6 months.

I'm gonna need this album to be better promoted than her last couple of albums. "Pour It Up" blows up on urban and rhythmic radio but doesn't get a video until six months after it had peaked, "Right Now" and/or "Loveeeeee Song" see no promotion aside from radio play, and "Jump" is now randomly being spun on Australian and New Zealand radio and it's starting to blow up there. It's currently #7 on the Australia iTunes, even though this will once again be a radio-only single. Def Jam, imma need you to do this new album justice and at least properly service each single. Or pull a Beyonce, drop the whole album with music videos at once and let us fans decide.

Oh damn I didn't know Jump was so high in Australia! Wonder if they will throw it randomly to radio elsewhere? Pros and cons to doing it so they probably won't.

They really should consider releasing "Jump" in the US as the last single off Unapologetic, I definitely think if it was given a proper release it could become a top 5 hit, maybe even a #1 hit.

Loud was the last album, in my opinion, that was properly promoted. TTT had WFL and WHYB, which were big hits, but Birthday Cake (Remix) was never released on iTunes, which would've have easily given Rihanna a top 20 (maybe even top 10) hit considering it relied solely on airplay and the 1:18 version that was originally included on the album and still reached #24. Talk That Talk, the song, was getting a lot of airplay, enough for it to hit #31, but never got a video. And I've already expressed my frustration with the promotion of Unapologetic.
I want this album to have a vision artistically and musically that is allowed to mature in a way Def Jam hasn't allowed her other releases to. Perhaps it's because her albums were released so close to each other that their attention on the project at hand was already drifting towards the next creation before the current release had time to exhaust its potential. Unapologetic could've been it. Between September 2012, when "Diamonds" was released, and today, this album could have had several successful singles. But it felt like after "Stay," Def Jam just abandoned the project a bit. It might have to do with her touring as well, which obviously throws a wrench into things, but with Rihanna's star power and YouTube presence, music videos are huge promotional tools for her.
Album #8 needs to be executed in the way that Loud or GGGB was, where each single had the chance to perform with the right kind of radio/music video/performance promotion that will let these tracks resonate with the broader population beyond her most hardcore fans.

I'm sure they'll plan everything to the T this time around. She's as big and determined as ever and I'm sure that the 1.5 year gap between Unapologetic and the 8th album will give them time to properly prepare for the campaign. I'm ready for this to become her biggest era ever.

The TTT video got canceled because of Blue Ivy's birth, according to Rihanna on Instagram. And she doesn't enjoy doing press, which is part of why we only got 2 or 3 interviews for Unapologetic.

Ahh, that makes sense. I'm glad she got 2 Top 10 hits & a #1 album with this era.

this time i want dance music from Rihanna a la We Found Love, Don't Stop the Music, Pon De Replay or Heavy Urban pop like Rude Boy which is one of favorites for her. I really reallyyyyy hope that the next lead single won't be something like Diamonds or Stay
