I'm reunited with Rihanna in 4 hours. OMG I cannot deal right now. Have fun, Kishi!! So here's my thoughts on the show and my experience. While 80% of the audience had some sort of Eminem merchandise on before the doors opened, I wore my Diamonds World Tour t-shirt to represent my girl. Got into the stadium and was pleased to have seating in the Chase Club. I wasn't a fan of the merchandise, it just seemed basic and overpriced. The show started at 8:15pm and the place was filled. The opening clip was cute and it was nice seeing Eminem & Rihanna onstage together, I really liked whenever they were on stage together. PROS * The pair is great on stage. * Eminem has a lot of energy and impressed me. Most of the crowd knew every single lyric and word to the songs. * Rih looked great as usual. She did her best with "Stay", "We Found Love", and "Diamonds". The crowed LOVED "Talk That Talk", "Only Girl", "Where Have You Been", "Rockstar 101", and "Umbrella". CONS * Each artist has a set that is too long. It would have been nice if each of them did about 4-5 songs each and then switched. * It wouldn't hurt if Rih did some of her earlier hits. I felt like "What Now" and a few other songs didn't fit the show and should have been cut. The crowd didn't seem to be familiar with most of her album tracks. * The stage is kind of basic.

Rihanna is probably trying to stay away from alot of her earlier material. She probably thinks it doesn't represent her anymore or it's not considered cool/edgy enough for her current image. She kind of reminds me of Madonna in that way. I know artists may get sick of performing older hits but I hate when they completely abandon them. I'm sure most in the audience would of rather heard "SOS or Pon de Replay" over "What Now" Lol.

Haha, screw the audience I say, I would definitely rather hear "What Now" over "SOS" and especially "Pon de NOplay."

Glad you had fun, Kishi KCM! I haven't attended a concert of this tour but I've seen footage of almost a whole show and I have to agree that more interaction between the two throughout the night would have been better. Also, every people that's been going to the tour say that the majority of the crowd is there to see Em and not Rih, which kind of makes sense since he apparently seldom tours. I agree that hearing SOS and Pon De Replay at a show would be amazing, but, if I remember correctly, Rih said in an interview that she's sick of performing Pon De Replay so don't expect that on a setlist any time soon, haha

The first time I saw Rihanna live was in 2011, so by then she stopped performing most of the material from the first two albums (which have some of my personal favorites) and "Rehab", which remains in my top 5 favorite singles from her. It's just a selfish part of me that wants to see some of my favorite songs live.

The Monster Tour ended yesterday in Detroit and Eminem & Rihanna did the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge after the show! Here's the video: If you want to know more about ALS, its symptoms and how you can help, visit www.alsa.org/ :)

What's the latest with a possible new album? November or 2015? If nothing is announced in September like she usually does, I can see no album this year tbh. Home is being released in early 2015 (March) with a concept album by Rihanna so maybe "Home" Soundtrack is #R8? I honestly don't know lmao

Does she announce the singles or just release them - and then that is the announcement? Russian Roulette didn't come out til late October so it might be late this year too.

Completely ready for her to come back, but hopefully no Diamonds this go around. I want her to hit with something outrageous.

For the first time in my illustrious life, I'm super excited for a Rihanna era. After the last album which is just simply adore and if its as urban leaning as that one and she keeps the David Guetta stale, generic styled dance pop on the sidelines. I will ride and die with her.
Just lots of songs of that album that are still serving me life.

Trying to rank her first singles and I just realized that I really don't ever like her lead singles that much? For me it's her album tracks and the rest of her singles that are always better for me. I'm one of the few people in the world that thought "We Found Love" and "Only Girl" (especially OG) were disappointing. "SOS", "Umbrella" and "Pon De Replay" I actually LOVE but I wish she would re-record them because her vocals on these tracks (and her first three albums in general) were weak. "Russian Roulette" is one of my favorites of the bunch and "Diamonds" is a great track but not my cup of tea.
