Surprised that none of you have made a thread for this yet: it's a Stargate-produced track from a Norwegian variety duo (Γ la The Lonely Island) and was supposed to only be used as an advertisement for the new season of the brothers' talk show, I kveld med YLVIS. Uploaded on Tuesday with already five million views.

"The Fox" is old news. It's all about "Stonehenge" now:
Or you could with Said The Whale's parody version, "The Whale" (obviously):

Also, you could legitimately put this in Global Music Charts. It's #1 on Norway iTunes and #31 in Sweden.

Unsurprisingly under Cool New Music. Currently unsigned, so don't expect it to go too far, but I think someone (probably Scooter lmao) will pick it up at least for radio distribution.

I LOVE IT! I don't understand the hate. Have you watched the music video? It's hysterical! And it's a joke, not serious. They actually played this last night at the Fox TV party and it blended right in with "Blurred Lines," "Applause," "Get Lucky," and "PYT" that they played around it.

I've watched the whole video once and couldn't get it past the 1:30 minute mark the 2nd time around. It's not even remotely funny like HS/Gangnam Style were. At least when they came on the radio I could dance to them occasionally whenever they were on.

This is literally just something that would play on The Wiggles or Sesame Street put over the beat of generic EDM music. I don't understand why it's even going viral. At least there was some validity to the viral success of "Friday," "Gangnam Style," and "Harlem Shake." This is going viral for absolutely no reason at all.

Wow, I've never seen so many people hate a song that I love so much! I'm not bothered, pretty much everyone on pulse hated the Harlem Shake and it still went to #1.

One of my FB friends posted this on his timeline last week and I could barely get through it. It was just that bad. It's rare I can't get through a song. I listened to it again today and I still thought it was absolutely horrible. Probably one of the worst 'songs' ever. I would be surprised if it does anything.

Oh my god, not this My friend made me sit through it a few nights ago, and it's probably the stupidest thing I've ever heard. Had no idea it's viral and I really hope I never have to hear this shit on the radio

If they cut the noises in the chorus this is actually a good song.

The last chorus is actually pretty epic.

"and fish go blub" is my favorite part of the song. Such a bop.

I have never seen so much hatred for a song, but I prefer this over "Friday" and "Harlem Shake" tbqh. Watch yourself. Friday is legendary and an incomparable masterpiece, right up there with the greatest musical masterpieces of all time, like Beethoven's Fifth, the Star-Spangled Banner, and Party in the U.S.A.

The only songs this year I can legitimately say I hate more than this are probably Blurred Lines, Give It 2 U, Harlem Shake, and We Can't Stop. So yeah, top 5 worst of the year so far
