Love this record!! 17yr old Martin Garrix is bringing his Dance smash "Animals" to Top 40 radio with September 24th being the impact date.
Martin is the youngest artist ever to make it to number one on Beatport, and the track is massive on the dance charts.

What's the source on this? Don't see it on the usual sites that report adds dates.
Also #1 in Belgium and top five in France, Switzerland, and the Netherlands.

I did a blog post on this about a month ago sort of assuming it would eventually be released here, and it's being promoted on Casablanca/Republic, who are also handling "Popular Song" at the moment. I don't see it going past the 30's on CHR without a rap remix.

This is a great club song. Glad to see it released to CHR/Pop. This has recently been on the Itunes top 300 all summer long.

This song is great. I'm so glad to see this with an adds date after too many great dance songs have missed out this year in favour of shit like "This Is What It Feels Like" and "Reload".

The Netherlands has a lot of talented DJ's/Producers. Armin van Buuren, Martin Garrix, Tiesto, Ferry Corsten, Fedde Le Grande, Hardwell, Afrojack, DJ Jean, Sander van Doorn, First State, Jaydee, Jorn van Deynhoven, Laidback Luke, Vincent de Moor, Signum, Nicky Romero, Rank 1 and a whole lot more.
I agree with Adam (UTR), I don't see this going far. Surprised to see an instrumental going for CHR/POP. Would be nice seeing an instrumental track make a comeback on U.S. top 40 radio though but something tells me most pop radio will probably be scared to spin this track.

Would this be the first instrumental/dance instrumental to go for Pop radio since...what, "Sandstorm"? I really think I've gotta be missing one considering a 12-year span since, but I'm totally drawing a blank ATM. In any case, if that song could at least do something here (in 2001, no less!) - then, why can't this?

i think outside of the massive mixshow play it will receive, some smaller market and mid market stations might take a chance?? i think the rising popularity of EDM can't be ignored anymore by CHR!!!

Unfortunately this only got 1 add for 3 total. :( US Radio
I have to be honest that I'm not expecting a lot from "Animals" because it's mainly instrumental (besides the "We're the fucking animals" part), but I really want it to be, at least, a moderate hit in the US.

This song is really catchy, and I've heard it a lot the past month or so. But US radio don't play instrumental songs. If Harlem Shake couldn't sway them, this stands no chance at all. It's been a hit anyway, anything else from now is just a bonus.

Great to see both Dutchmen DJ's make their very first debut on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. Armin van Buuren & Martin Garrix.

I always hear this in Chicago at night during their club sessions. I love the beat. Idk how it'll do on pop though.

In any case, if that song could at least do something here (in 2001, no less!) - then, why can't this? I don't think this would count as an instrumental because of the short speaking part. The best comparison would be something like "Levels" where the vast majority of the song is instrumental, but there are a few lyrics. Great song though. I think it could crack the bottom of the top 40.

I'd like to hope so. But seeing as it went for adds two weeks ago and is now struggling to even gain spins daily - it sure don't look good. :(
