I don't agree with either. He has always been quirky with his music (and we have only heard one full song from his album so we have no clue what the rest holds). And this song doesn't seem to be flying up the charts so I don't think it's working either. I saw your other comment so I know you got it confused with Josh Thompson's song (which is moving very slowly), but I just wanted to comment on Jerrod's climb because it actually has been a pretty strong/fast one (for someone who's not an A-list artist and who is coming off a couple singles that somewhat under-performed at radio, and from an album that had a severely poor commercial performance) and I think this is a song that's well on its way to a top 3 peak, probably a #1. Anyone knows if this is Jerrod's fastest rising single? When I think of Lover Lover and What Do You Want lenghty climbs come to me "Lover, Lover" went up a little bit faster. It was only on the chart for 26 total weeks, and it hit #1 in its 24th chart week, the chart dated August 14, 2010. "Drink To That All Night" has charted for 22 weeks on Billboard now, and it currently sits at #11, so it won't be able to hit #1 in the next 2 weeks to match the pace of "Lover, Lover". But I do think this is a song on its way to the top, as I said above. As for "What Do You Want", it was at #14 in its 22nd chart week, but #11 in its 23rd, so "Drink To That All Night" is about exactly on pace with that one. I do have the full WDYW chart run for Billboard (I don't have LL's but it wouldn't be too hard to dig that one up either). Chart run for WDYW: 49-47-40-38-33-33-31-29-27-26-26-24-21-19-20-19-19-18-17-18-15-14-11-11-9-7-6-7-6-6-4-4-7- recurrentHope that helps! :)

Will Zazie be happy? #1 at MediaBase! Picking on me again, buffalo man. We'll see what happens, but a mid-week peak doesn't mean anything and the song is going to fall below Randy Houser tomorrow, you can bet on that. Or else I can be wrong again. Neither of the two dueling songs looks like it can gain too much more -- the airplay and spin totals are just so high -- so I wonder if they'll split the #1's this coming week or still have time to take turns ahead of the fast-climbing Gilbert single. As you know, I don't care about the MB peak, so I'll just sit in a comfortable chair and hope this gets the top spot on BB. I wonder what he'll release next, trying to build on the success of DTTAN. Please not the Donkey.

Please not the Donkey. I am not picking on you. I am one of your biggest fans and you know that. Meanwhile, I am a big fan of Jerrod Niemann (maybe not as big as you). I do love an artist when they are releasing quality material. Niemann has done that in the past with Lover, Lover, What Do You Want, One More Drinkin' Song (as clever as that was), Shinin' On Me, and Only God Can Love You More. Not so with Drink To That All Night (I take it Toby Keith could not find time to record that one). However, Niemann is scoring his biggest hit in four years with his latest, so I am sure he and Sea Gayle are happy campers right now. He definitely needed a big hit so he settled on this particular song. Will that be enough to guarantee him another with a follow up? We'll see. I hope he does NOT release Donkey. If he does, he will make an ass out of himself! Still #1 at MediaBase!

^ How many feet does Jerrod have? Because we know he has a lot of bullets, at least recently.
And Randy's back to #1 on Saturday's MB update, but I realize the race isn't over yet. Jerrod could do anything now, from getting a #1 on BB this coming week to starting a freefall to winding up with a 2-week stay at #2.
I really like Jerrod as an singer and a songwriter, and I've been a big supporter of his current hit, but I'm not going to be able to stick around for the Donkey chart run. I'll be open to his third single, if there is one, but I will have to sit this one out if he releases it.

Jerrod is tracking #1 as of Saturday on the Billboard Real Time Tracker, on Tuesday he was tracking at #1, but on Wednesday it was Randy Houser tracking at #1 for "Goodnight Kiss" and he held it for Thursday, but am not sure of what Friday was because I never checked. I meant to check but have been short on time on everything. I did however check Saturday and Jerrod is tracking at #1 for this coming Monday. Close race indeed for #1 this week.

I believe Jerrod will be at #1 on tommorrows chart. Since he's hosting CCUSA this weekend he'll gain that extra spin and since Randy Houser hosted last weekend he'll lose that extra spin on tommorrows update hence Jerrod should come out at #1 easily I think.

^He's already tracking at #1 on Billboard, so with the countdown spin factored in, he is a shoe-in this week. Even though I enjoy this song, it definitely doesn't deserve to go all the way to #1 much less get two weeks at the penthouse.

The official "Push" for #1 on Aircheck was always for THIS coming week. That means he'll likely get to #1 on both.

Congrats on Jerrod gaining his 2nd #1. Now let's compare the quality of the two... "Lover, Lover" vs "Drink To That All Night" I can't even fathom how this happened to Jerrod. :'(

Nearing 62 million audience impressions at MediaBase (61.7). Lover, Lover is definitely better than Drink To That All Night.

It amazes me that this song is a 2 week chart topper, and 19 You + Me can't even make the top 10. There is no place for auto-tune in country. This is the worst #1 country song in a long time IMO.

"Drink To That All Night" Remix featuring Pitbull ( listen here) *if you dare This will make Zazie cry. Well it's not surprising they serviced a version to pop radio as I always felt that this song was a pop song to begin with, but somehow they made a bad song into an even worse song. I'm certainly not a pop fan, especially an artist like Pitbull but that made remix my head spin. I suppose it would do well at pop radio just because it's catchy, has auto-tune which they don't have a problem with, and it features a very popular well known artist attached to it's title. I am at a loss for words on how far this genre has fallen especially someone like Jerrod. In the span of three weeks, Jerrod got to #1 with a song I hate and hoped never would achieve that status; a remix version of that song with rap thrown for a pop release, and a new country single release that had people questioning if it was a sick joke by Arista Nashville because the song was so unbelievably bad. Zazie might be crying (though I would imagine he's strong enough not to, but I wouldn't blame him one bit if he did shed a tear) but I'm just flat out depressed.

Wow is that remix bad. It really bothers me that they let Pitbull speak all over the intro. Isn't this Jerrod's song? This is the definition of selling out, as if auto-tune wasn't already enough.

"Drink To That All Night" Remix featuring Pitbull [ Listen Here] (if you dare) This will make Zazie cry. Well, you made me think about it. Here's my conclusion: I would only cry if Willie and Merle re-made Pancho and Lefty with a substantial rap component. That would break me down. A re-make of the Niemann song: no problem, that's what it was made for. Now let's see it break Cruise's record for most mongrel weeks at #1. But whatever happens, I'm not going to shed a tear, not a single one. Not saying this trend is a good one, but not crying.

Between a nearly 7-month stroll to #1 @ Billboard on top of spending two weeks in the penthouse, is this the song to beat as it relates to winding up #1 for the year @ Billboard?

It will be interesting to see how this does on radio. Jerrod makes me laugh...and maybe that is what it is all about.
