Great to see this getting a second chance and all but why take off The Weeknd? I thought it was odd to add him in a year ago but its even wierder to take him off when he is pushing towards #1 with Ariana right now?

The version with Diplo and The Weeknd was in the original version on the Catching Fire soundtrack. Sia re-recorded the song as a solo for her album. The single right now is coming from the album, not the soundtrack. The soundtrack version was also pushed as a single well over a year ago, but it didn't do much as it wasn't pushed very hard like Coldplay's Catching Fire song was. It's purely an artistic choice by Sia to have re-recorded the song as a solo for the album.

Or A Great Big World re-recorded This is the New Year.

Only she knows fully why the album had a solo version of "Elastic Heart" on it. The album could have had the soundtrack version or not even had it at all.

So is this getting any kind of radio push? With the way radio treated Chandelier, they sure as hell aren't going to just start playing one of her songs on their own.

So is this getting any kind of radio push? With the way radio treated Chandelier, they sure as hell aren't going to just start playing one of her songs on their own. No adds dates for any formats yet (but for some reason "Opportunity" from Annie has an adds date on the ACs next week), and it's not present under any format's "Cool New Music" section on AllAccess. So, it looks like no official radio push yet, which is an extremely idiotic move for the reason you've stated. This should be getting pushed to pop, rhythmic, and the ACs now instead of months later like what happened with Colbie Caillat's "Try."

Agreed. I love how she captivates an audience without even showing her face. The voice is amazing, the dancing was amazing, and I REALLY want her to get a show in Oklahoma just so I can see her live! <3

Video of the SNL performance:
And she also flawlessly performed Chandelier. One of the best performances of it yet, imo

Climbs to #13 in the UK, becoming Sia's 7th overall Top 20 there.
#1. "Titanium" (David Guetta featuring Sia) #4. "Wild Ones" (Flo Rida featuring Sia) #6. "Chandelier" #8. "She Wolf (Falling to Pieces)" (David Guetta featuring Sia) #10. "Taken for Granted" #10. "Guts Over Fear" (Eminem featuring Sia) #13. "Elastic Heart" (Solo version / featuring The Weeknd & Diplo)

The SNL performance was good but I stand by this coming across as a second rate "Chandelier" as a result of using Maddie again in the same costume doing interpretive dance. I get that she still wants to remain anonymous to the audience but I wish she would have come up with a different visual for "Elastic Heart" especially since it's not as strong of a song as "Chandelier".

Her pronunciation in those 2 performances was the worst Nonetheless her voice was outstanding and the performances in general were great

I am so in love with this song right now. I am happy Sia didn't really retire. I feel like she has a knack for making good pop music that connects universally, but doesn't sound generic or lifeless like pop sometimes can. I doubt this will do much though.

Wait what? This song is happening?
I guess I'm happy to keep hearing Sia on radio. I love this song but this is so odd to me. I do hope this does well on second chance though. I would have thought the original would work now given the Weeknd's current hype. But solo Sia works for me too.

this reached top 50 ac today but according to kworb it's the version with weeknd? I wouldn't pay attention to AC radio lol. "Me and My Broken Heart" is Top 10 currently and "Love Runs Out" is having positive updates at #13. It's like the Hot AC stations that don't let go of old songs lol.

It's a format specifically catered to a demographic that doesn't strongly follow what's current, but likes to pretend they do. 40-year-old soccer moms, if you will. It takes songs ages to climb and reach peaks there. The format is also riddled in gold and recurrent airplay. As for it saying it's the version with The Weeknd and Diplo, I honestly think that's the only version listed in Mediabase's database at the moment. Both versions will show up as that.

Under Cool New Music according to AllAccess. Thank God. How did they not have an adds date set before the video launched? That's just self-sabotage.
