YASS! I have a feeling that it will be remixed by Calvin Harris, David Guetta, Diplo, DJ Cassidy, or MK for a single release and it will be a collaboration with someone like Emma Louise, Jess Glynne, Kiesza, or even Jessie J so they can go all the way with the whole Handbag House aesthetic. Imagine if she decided to go the full throwback route and got Robert Clivilles (of C+C Music Factory) to remix it and added a Dance diva such as Ce Ce Peniston, Crystal Waters, Janice Robinson, Jocelyn Brown, Katherine Ellis, Martha Wash, Sylver Logan Sharp, or Sylvia Mason-James. Even if it doesn't end up being any one of the names mentioned, there is a pretty good chance it will be a remix or collaboration of some sort. Chile... now you know they aren't going to put her with somebody as vocally superior as Jess Glynne or Jessie J for that matter.

Welp. I guess we're gonna find out if this is gonna be the across-the-board smash so many predicted!
I'm interested to watch its performance.

A little too late, but I still think it has potential to end the era on a high note.

Too little, too late. Wouldn't be surprised at all it it misses the Top 10. Should have been the third single.

YES! It's about time this was released. I do feel this probably would have worked better if this was released after "Dark Horse".
Anyway, I hope this smashes the way it was always supposed to. Perfect song to end the era.

Late. After two flops, this will flop too.

Yeah, I don't think this is going to do much. I never thought it was a guarantee hit, but after Dark Horse it stood a good chance. I think she has another "Yes top 20!" (from SPREE no less!) performance on her hands.

Bad move. They should have launched the re-release, not a song that was never a safe bet to begin with.

Yeah if they do go through with it a remix seems inevitable. And probably necessary in all honesty given how out of steam the era is now.

Yeah, it's too late now I think, after two extremely mediocre and bland singles. It stood a way better chance after DH but I hope it becomes a decent hit at least~

This was the hit off of the album that should have been released after "Dark Horse", but now it's too late. After a flop and probably the biggest flop of her career, the whole album is kinda dead by now. I'll take this gladly on the radio though. Hopefully it does better than "This Is How We Do"...

Is this real life?
I don't give a good G*d damn if this doesn't sell - I'll just be happy to hear it on the radio where it always should have been. This better work.

I really did want this to be a smash too, but I just don't see it now. If only "Uneventfully", "Barfday", and "This Is How We Don't" hadn't mucked up this era so bad. Imagine this just being the third single after Roar and DH and we still had LL and Ghost/International Smile waiting in the wings as 4th and 5th single. Another easy 5-6 smash era.

The third single was 'Dark Horse'. The second was 'Unconditionally'.
It should've been the second single. Unless you think 'Dark Horse' should've been second and this third but literally who thinks about it that much?

Love the hedging going on here. This is Katy Perry, not post-Tonight I'm Getting Over You Carly Rae Jepsen. If "Walking on Air" was going to be a smash hit, then there's nothing stopping it from being a hit now, especially since we know that some within the industry immediately dismissed the last single because it wasn't Walking on Air.
It would have obviously done a little better coming after Roar or Dark Horse, but if this was a multi-week, multi-format #1 in an ideal situation, then it's still an easy Top 5 now.
So either say that you think this song is a smash...or say that your main problem a few months ago was that you hated Birthday and This is How We Do, not that you thought the label was passing on a blockbuster.
