YES. Along with "One Dirt Road" this is my other clear favorite on the album. LOVE the chorus.

I like this song and I'm glad this was picked over one dirt road. I like one dirt road just don't feel it's the right time for it. It's fall the right kind of song is one that can be listened to by the bonfire while I hold my baby and one dirt road doesn't have that feel. This does and as I said if he releases this then off the beaten path in the winter/ summer and then finishes with one dirt road I can see him stepping to the next level.

I think the instrumentation (especially in the verse) is unnecessarily harsh, but other than that it's a great song. Should hopefully do well for him.

Should be another easy top 15 to add to his streak he always talks about. I really like this song and think its perfect for the fall time. It has the right vibe for a fall night around a bonfire

As I mentioned in the other thread, I got this CD for Christmas. A couple things I noticed is "Bad Habits". I am stunned that he recorded a duet with Miranda Lambert. They seem like polar opposites so I never thought it would happen. It worked really well and it's a pretty good song. "I'd Want It to Be Yours" is complete awful. What's the big deal about a girl's ass? I am a 20 year old guy and I am attractive to woman, but I do not find an ass "attractive". They all look the same to me. While I can't say about women in particular, I do occasionally find an ass attractive but it's very rare. Nowhere near how muh they get sung about.

Personally I would never think to write about a girls 'butt'. There are many other qualities I would want to point out about somebody before bringing their behind up. Maybe that's just my personality. Even writing or singing this kind of song feels uncomfortable to me; even if it's meant to be fun in nature. Again it's not exactly the most offensive thing to bring up , but I find it to be a stupid song subject in general.

I've found butts attractive before on somebody I'm already attracted to, but never enough to write a song about it! I 100% agree that it's a stupid topic to write a song about.

This one is kinda meh for me. I think it's the monotonous melody. The lyrics are above average, but the flat melody really drags it down for me.

^ I could not agree more. I've been wondering why this song does next to nothing for me. The melody is dull and non existent. Plus the subject matter is so played by now, especially from an artist like Justin that I guess those are the reasons I tune this one out when it comes on the radio.
It always seemed to me that Justin could have real potential to be a great true country artist, but some of the corny and stupid subjects he's sang in the past like "Back That Thing Up", "Backwoods", and "Bait A Hook" have kept me from liking him more. Even "Small Town USA" I thought was sorely overrated, and always wondered at the time how that got to be such a huge hit. He is under the Big Machine Label Group so maybe that's why he's been hit or whiff on material while having undoubted success.

IMO the lyrics here a notch above most of what's on radio.
And I do like the melody and production here. Probably a solid B+ for me.

^ I think the lyrics and production are good, yes. But just like several Casey Beathard songs (e.g. "Just Fishin'"), the melody is the dealbreaker for me.

What's up with the weird background vocals during the chorus of this one? I hadn't noticed them 'til I was listening to the snippet of this one on Rate The Music just now. I don't think I would've heard them if I didn't have my headphones in either. They're most noticeable on the closing line of the chorus "And I can't wait to see where it goes". I don't really know how to describe them...they just sound really weird to me.

This is turning into a solid hit for Justin, but I don't think it's doing much in terms of creating buzz for him. I can see this being like Darius Rucker's "Radio". It'll go top 5, maybe even #1 but I don't think it's going to help his momentum all that much and I can see the next single struggling.
I think he need to for future albums pick more distinctive material. Otherwise I can at best see him having a career similar to Billy Currington, always a b-lister situation. I'd like to see him step it up on his next album and try for that transition to an a-lister.

So he just randomly popped up on the Voice tonight to sing this. Didn't seem to have much of an impact on iTunes, looks like its peaked at 89 so far and is already on its way down, but I dont think his performance has aired on the west coast yet (could be wrong)
EDIT
May have spoken too soon, up to 88 right now.

I've been hearing this a ton on the radio lately; today I heard it at least three times. Honestly, I really like this one a lot. Justin Moore is very hit-or-miss with me in regards to material, but I generally like his voice so long as he puts it to good use, and I enjoy this quite a bit. Certainly his best single since "If Heaven Wasn't So Far Away," and one of my favorites among his singles along with "Heaven" and "Small Town USA." It's rather generic, but his vocal performance is solid and I like the groove to it.

There is just nothing special about him, no stage presence really, nothing really interesting about his voice or song choices.
I was in the other room when he started performing and I thought it was one of the contestants until the end when they said "Thank you Justin Moore"

This has been an awful week as far as conversions between television performances and iTunes sales. Literally no needles have been moved at all between Billboard and The Voice. This wasn't a particularly inspired performance, but he was in tune and the song's catchy. That's usually all you need for a sales spike. I mean - look at the reaction to performances after the ACMs or CMAs. You'll often see 7 or 8 of the night's performances go Top 30 and one or two go top 10.

Yeah, the only thing from the Billboard awards that had much impact at all was Miranda & Carrie, other than that it was a snooze fest at retail. Hardly anybody moved in any meaningful way. Shakira & Blake's voice performance on the ACMs in March sent the song to #12, their performance on the voice puttered out at like 55 and is already on its way back down.

It's rather generic, but his vocal performance is solid and I like the groove to it. I agree, the lyrics are very bland and too similar to every other song out there right now, but this song is just catchy and has a nice feel too it. His voice is really strong on this song. I never thought this song would have a chance at #1 earlier this year, but now it's really looking like this might have a shot. If it can just hold on for a couple more weeks, it should at least peak in the top 3. I'm really just excited for a new single from him, there are a couple of good potential ones from Off The Beaten Path.

I guess there won't be a third single. According to Taste of Country, his next single will be "Home Sweet Home" from the Motley Crue tribute CD. His CD is incredible but there really isn't much radio friendly material. Do you have the link for that? I'm a huge Motley Crüe fan and I think his particular cover of "Home Sweet Home" would be pretty interesting. But I just can't see them moving on yet without at least one more single. "That's How I Know You Love Me" would be a good choice IMO.

I highly doubt that they are done with singles off this album. I also would be surprised if Home Sweet Home is released to radio, although that would be awesome if it is. I've seen him do It a few times live and he does great.

The term 'single' is thrown around pretty often these days, and in this case, "Home Sweet Home" will probably be a digital single and not one that's fully promoted to radio.

Is this the shortest thread we've ever had for a Top 10 hit? Usually we get two or three pages on even the lesser Top 10ers.

"Goodnight Kiss" barely got two pages and that was a #1 MB and #2 Billboard hit, but you're right about this being surprisingly short for a top 5 single. It's probably because this song is just kinda there for many people, with no real move the needle discussion coming from Justin or this song.

Does anyone think Justin Moore's solo single will be hurt by his vocal collaboration between Brantley Gilbert and Thomas Rhett? I sincerely doubt it. This seems to have been doing fine and will take advantage of a nice placement on the charts ahead of any strong competition. It should make it to No. 1 on at least one of the charts, though I'd like to see this one become his fourth #1 at Billboard. I feel like I can't escape hearing this one on radio right now and even though I'm tiring of it for that reason, it is a tune that I enjoy, especially compared to other lightweight songs by his peers that are more grating and less country than this.
