I was hoping for one more single form his current album I felt that see about a girl or that's when you know it's over could have been big hits for him but Howell. I can also see why he's ready to move on after a very successful era

I can also see why he's ready to move on after a very successful era I would've also been fine with another single from Hard 2 Love, but my choice would've been either "Friends We Won't Forget" or "Seven Days A Thousand Times". I still can't believe that "Seven Days..." isn't going to be a single, especially since Lee said a while back that there was a good chance Kenny Chesney was going to release his version as a single, and if Kenny didn't then Lee said he definitely would himself. Still, it does make sense for them to move on, so Howell I guess.

Nice to hear a new lead single so quickly. Anxious at hearing this judging by what Lee said about the song. I think Curb is hitching their wagon on Lee to be their breadwinner. Essentially taking Tim's place as the top artist for Curb records.

Wow, I figured a 5th single was a lock. Heck, this is Curb, I thought 6 was a strong possibility. Was really hoping for Seven Days as well though I was definitely expecting FWWF.
This topic certainly intrigues me as something real. I really hope he puts out another solid album like this one rather than moving in the direction that most of his peers are going (namely Jerrod Niemann though others as well). Lee really has no reason to change his music too much as he has had major success with what he is doing.

Though I'd have thought they'd go at least 5 from H2L, nice too hear new music.

I also thought about Jon Wolfe's "I Don't Dance", but I'm pretty sure it isn't the same song as Lee's is. According to the article I posted, Lee wrote or co-wrote the song, but I believe the Jon Wolfe song is written by Ashley Gorley, Kelley Lovelace, and Hugh Simpson. Ronnie Dunn also had a song titled "I Don't Dance" on his Arista Nashville album--he wrote that one with David Lee Murphy and Craig Wiseman.
Lee's song sounds like it's a new one that he wrote (not sure if it's a solo-write or if he co-wrote it with others, though).

Guess I'm the only one who wasn't anticipating a fifth single from Hard 2 Love. I feel like momentum is winding down on this era and the most logical move at this point is to put out a new lead single.

Not trying to start an argument, but why do you think this era is losing momentum? 4 straight top 10 ten hits, 3 of those being number 1's.

I was really hoping it was the Jon Wolfe song when I first saw the title, but alas that doesn't seem to be the case. Lee's been pretty hit (Love Like Crazy, Happy Endings, I Drive Your Truck) and miss (Parking Lot Party, Upper Middle Class White Trash, Beautiful Every Time) for me, so hopefully this is a return to better material. At least it doesn't sound like a bro-country song, so that's a step in the right direction.

Not trying to start an argument, but why do you think this era is losing momentum? 4 straight top 10 ten hits, 3 of those being number 1's. Compared to the first three singles, this one wasn't nearly as successful, and four singles per album is pretty standard for most artists. For instance, I think a fifth single from this project would've only peaked lower than "Parking Lot Party" and maybe fail to make the Top 10 or Top 20 altogether. It's just a fact that momentum tends to decrease with the later singles released from an album. When I look at the stats for the Hard 2 Love era, it's definitely a solid success (not denying that at all), but I don't see it as a missed opportunity to move on at this point. It's definitely in Lee Brice's best interest, the same way a fifth single from Jake Owen's Barefoot Blue Jean Night (an artist currently on a comparable level of fame) would've *just* been pushing it, and that album had four #1 hits. Some of the biggest country star's eras in recent memory, such as Blown Away, Red River Blue, and Tailgates and Tanlines all capped at four single releases, so why would a fifth single from Hard 2 Love seem so likely? I'm guessing it's more a factor of personal preference, which is understandable.

I'm guessing it's more a factor of personal preference, which is understandable. The only reason why I personally thought there might be a 5th single is because this is Curb Records we're talking about, and in the past they haven't always moved on from albums when they should have (most notably with Tim's Let It Go and Rodney Atkins' It's America re-release, which Rodney was publicly upset about). And of course they also kept releasing McGraw music after he had left the label and even after he signed with Big Machine. But otherwise I agree with you--it definitely makes sense to move on. I'm just saying that I wouldn't have been surprised had they opted for a 5th single, but their choice of moving on to a new album doesn't surprise me either.

I'm just happy he's not releasing "I Belong To The Drinking Class", at least right now, especially after parking lot party(most likely be released in the spring though). He's been previewing both songs on his The Otherside Tour. Can't wait to hear what he does with the studio version. Its a beautiful song, and should be a huge hit for Lee

This is a great song. Lee should stick to these 100% of the time, and layoff the "Parking Lot Party", and "Upper Middle Class White Trash's" of the world. Or at least keep those as album cuts. "I Don't Dance" is the correct way to sing about a man's undeniable love for a girl, and not "Hey Girl", or "Get Me Some of That". Love songs that say I won't do anything for anyone except you is always a thumbs up for me. Hook line..."You got me in the palm of your hand, Cause I don't dance". My guess would be a late spring release on his next album.

I gotta be honest...reading the title made me think of that cheese-tastic tune from High School Musical 2, with Zac Efron (can't remember his character's name) is performing in the middle of a huge golf course. I'm in my mid-20s and kicking myself for liking such a phenomenon back then.
I'm also relieved to hear that this isn't another frat-boy type thing like PLP was, which is thankfully his only pandering single release so far. I honestly wish they would've done without the echo/reverb because it served as a slight distraction to what was otherwise a gentle and sweet song. I'll wait for the studio version to come out before I make any opinions, but I'll give Hard 2 Love another listen some time in the future. I may consider giving his debut a listen, too.

His sophomore is miles better than his debut. Hopefully his 3rd is even better.

AudioOn first impression I think this is going to be another hit for Lee. I do like it, but it's not likely to be among my favorites of '14. Lee's vocal is a bit sleepy for my taste, and I don't love how the theatrical the production is (although thankfully it's mostly restrained theatrics). It's still a solid effort though, and one i think radio will eat up.

A solid song. I find Lee to be one of the better artists on radio right now, and this song proves it. Good lyrical content, though the production can get to be a little much at some points. (And it's not bro-country, which means he gets bonus points!)

First post updated!
I like this quite a bit as well, and I can see it growing on me even more. I just hope it isn't too slow for radio. I don't think it will have too much trouble on the charts though, mostly due to Lee's momentum and the fact that Curb will really be behind him because he's their big name nowadays. And it helps that it's a quality song too.

I like this too. I love the arrangement of the chorus. I don't think it's lyrics are all that special, but Lee's passion sells the subject. Maybe the fact that Lee looks like the manly man type helps make me believe him when he says he doesn't care about what others think about him dancing with the girl he loves in public. I also enjoy the production quite a bit, which now and days I go out of my way to point out because of all the over done production with other singles. I hope it's not too slow for today's radio, and hopefully the recent success of "I Hold On" along with the potential success of "Young Love" will help PD's not afraid to add this in their heavy rotation.

I can't listen to mediabase players but really looking forward to hearing this. I was indifferent to Love Like Crazy (mostly because it was on the radio so long I think) but have loved everything since (yes, even Parking Lot Party-which although cliched, it came across more real to me than cruising around in a truck looking for a place to make out and there was no little hot mess with a moneymaker so I will forgive him ;) )His voice is unique, very soothing and I really like his songwriting-he almost reminds me of a more romantic, and less deep but cute version of Kacey Musgraves when he puts out clever, catchy lyrics that paint a picture so well. Odd comparison, I know.
I'm glad there are still some artists like Lee who can gain traction with a sweet ballad that isn't too corny.

I can't listen to mediabase players but really looking forward to hearing this. There's an AllAccess streaming link in the first post that should work :) (You just have to log-in and then find the song on the Cool New Music page)

^^^Thank you so much :) Tried getting an account and it keeps saying my account has been disabled :( Will have to try setting up an account at work, perhaps another IP address will work.
I guess Feb. 10 is fast approaching but I should have an All Access account anyway.
