Well, there goes her career. I mean, it sucks-- and hell, I buy the Dr. Luke thing in a heartbeat given all the negative press just about anyone who works with him gives him-- but the way her mother handled this ON TOP of the rehab thing is literally a joke that will, unfortunately, probably come at Ke$ha's expense. At the very least, the good doctor handled it professionally.
To be honest I'm hoping Ke$ha is so absent from people's minds at the moment that this won't even be noticed. The one time her current irrelevance might be a good thing.

The public isn't really paying attention, although I'm sure she'll be getting some GREAT press from this mess!!!!

I get what Matt is saying. Kesha is very under the radar for the most part even when she is getting airplay. I don't think the general public of the world is googling her rehab trip or what her mom says every day like they would be for other artists. She isn't really getting the insane press I would imagine from the shitshow that is unfolding. I also think that is a good thing. I feel for her, but it is starting to turn into a disaster with her Mom. What she is doing can easily backfire even if she is 100% correct about everything she is saying. I am also concerned that her Mom also checked into rehab and the same rehab as Kesha. That is a sign of a pretty classic damaging co-dependent relationship. I do wonder what will happen to Kesha after this. I think she is super talented, but what happens when pretty much her only producer and hitmaker leaves? I would love to see her pull through, but I have a bad feeling about it even with the success of Timber :/

Who exactly is "anyone who works with him?" He's worked with pretty much everyone in the industry but prior to this mess, brought to you by Ke$ha's hot mess of a mom, nobody really spoke badly of him. Maybe Kelly Clarkson but her situation, and she, herself, were both a bit...special back then. I actually don't really think she ever really said anything negative about him either. Luke also denied this.

I think Dr. Luke is literally so powerful most people won't put him on total blast, but I think it is telling when you have multiple pop stars hinting at bad things about you and no longer working with you despite you consistently giving them #1 hits.

What's funny is that in one of her many her statement she said that the Dr. Luke situation (that she brought upon herself) has been causing her family a lot of distress and is "destroying" them, which leads me to believe that Ke$ha's position on this isn't as strong, or she is actually opposing her.

I feel like going to rehab isn't a big deal for celebrities anymore. When Michael and Mariah did it, it was like OMG CAREER OVER!! In the post Britney-breakdown world, I feel like no one cares, and in a lot of cases it makes the celebrity more interesting.

It's not so much the rehab thing so much as her mother and the Dr. Luke nonsense. Additionally, he's also in control of a lot of her career since she's on his label. P!nk wasn't a fan of working with him. Clarkson didn't really care for him-- why else would she blatantly avoid him even when she was on the rise? Britney had her whole album hijacked and Dr. Luke flat out tweeted that her team didn't really want him on the new record. Gaga refuses to work with him altogether, even if she said it was purely her desire to not want to be mainstream (makes no sense). Now this mess with Ke$ha? It's not a stretch to assume that, because he's so connected, artists don't want to openly dog him. But I get the impression that, as a producer, people don't really care for him either.

Seems kind of like classic Stage Mom behavior to me. I've watched enough episodes of Toddlers & Tiaras to know.

I was listening to Timber today, and I think Ke$ha should stick to that light, breezy kind of sound. I love The Harold Song and Past Lives and I think she should keep recording those kinda songs too, but as far as singles go, the Die Young/Timber/Tik Tok sound has proven to work for her.
And I do love the entire Warrior album, but it is apparent that nothing (besides Die Young) is as catchy and infectious as Timber.

I actually thought 'Crazy Kids' was genius and I loved 'C'mon', it just probably should have been Single #3 instead.

I'm really glad this is all coming out. It was always a mystery why ke$ha was releasing these career killing singles and we've always blamed her label but I guess it was luke. I hope she gets some rest and finds another producer for a big come back. People love a comeback

it's so sad that all this things are happening to her :( I know she'll get better and will give us another masterpiece like Warrior. Also, I don't think this "war" against Luke will mean something in the future. I'm pretty sure she'll keep working with him after all. I'm not worry about her career, I mean I don't care what she will do I will still follow her. Right now I only need her to recover! Be a Warrior Ke$ha!! ♥

She's such a strong person, and makes it her purpose to set a good example for her fans. And her humbling herself and checking herself into rehab is a testament to that. I hope she takes the time she needs, and comes back stronger than ever and comfortable in her skin.

Just found out Ke$ha will be performing at Roosevelt Loyola University in Chicago this spring. Might be her first concert post-rehab, but looks like it might be for students only.

I realize "Timber" instrumental leaked and vocal stems are somewhere out there as well (that "acoustic" version).
It would be AWESOME if someone could make a solo edit for "Timber", keeping the chorus intact, replacing Pitbull's rapping (perhaps with her verses from "Crazy Kids"?) and bringing her vocals to the front on the "swing your partner" bit. I wish I could do it but I don't have the means.

That mix was made with the official acapella-- the people who produced it are known to have access to vocal stems that aren't readily available.

I miss mah boo :( I hope she's doing well in rehab, and somehow draws some inspiration from it all. I am going to appreciate her and her music so much more now.
If we didn't have Timber smashing right now, it'd be such a scary time. But alas, she has proven she can still hit hard with the right music.

It feels like forever since Ke$ha went into rehab (probably because of the twitter silence). But checking this thread I realized that not even 2 months have pass. I'm glad she's taking her health seriously though. I hope that by April we hear some kind of exciting news from her. Wish her nothing but the best.
