A week with no updates... Ikr, someone actually has a life and responsibilities outside Pulse Finally, someone who understands I noticed that for this week; On the Hot 100 thread, someone complained (for the 1st time) about the daily updates which is something I've been doing for 15 months. On the 2010s chart, some people are pointing out how inaccurate my computations are ... that their threads should be the one getting attention 'cause it's more accurate. And then here. Yes, Last year I have never been late in posting the updates so I guess that's what people expected for this one... As what you've pointed out, it's the things outside Pulse that's the reason why things haven't been as accurate/consistent as before and those things are the things that matters. I've been trying to sort everthing out ,guys. Don't worry. I know you're all just as curious as me on how things go right now since we're more than half of the year. I will TRY to make this back on track in the next 3 days. The almost perfect top 40 predictions last year pressures me so much tbh. Sorry for the drama :'(

Just wanted to point out that since we have changed the formula for calculation of weekly points, songs are now getting lesser points than what they would have done under old formula. Thus, the year-end chart we would get would be biased in favour of the songs from the first half and would be quite different from the actual one.
For example, suppose a song has 120k sales, 100M on radio and 9M on streaming,
Then points under new system would be = 120/12 + 100/10 + 90/9 = 10k+10k+10k = 30k
And points under old system would be = 120/10 + 100/9.65 + 90/7.75 = 12k+10.36k+11.61k = 33.97k
The correct way to do it would be to go back and calculate all the points once again and then add them, but a simpler way would be to just multiply the total points till week 24 with a factor of 0.88, and then start adding the points from week 25 onwards.

Okay so after doing the above, and then adding points for week 25-32, here is the updated chart. Didn't have much time therefore the chart is short and very crude-looking.
1.Uptown Funk! 1368k 2.Thinking Out Loud 909k 3.Blank Space 817k 4.See You Again 712k 5.Sugar 692k 6.Take Me To Church 671k 7.Earned It (Fifty Shades Of Grey) 587k 8.Trap Queen 578k 9.Love Me Like You Do 572k 10.Shake It Off 510k 11.Shut Up + Dance 492k 12.Lips Are Movin 483k 13.I'm Not The Only One 471k 14.All About That Bass 447k 15.Style 397k 16.G.D.F.R. 382k 17.Jealous 368k 18.Time Of Our Lives 346k 19.Want to Want Me 333k 20.Centuries 328k 21.Animals 323k 22.FourFiveSeconds 319k 23.I Don't Fuck With You 314k 24.Somebody 307k 25.Only 294k 26.Love Me Harder 283k 27.I Don't Mind 279k 28.Post To Be 276k 29.Stay With Me 272k 30.Bad Blood 272k 31.Talking Body 262k 32.The Heart Wants What It Wants 248k 33.7/11 246k 34.Honey, I'm Good. 236k 35.Hey Mama 235k
Other Notables:
Worth It 197k Watch Me 184k Cheerleader 164k Can't Feel My Face 56k

And here is my very early year-end predictions (projected total points in brackets)
1. Uptown funk (1650k) 2. See You Again (1150-1200k) 3-4 Thinking out Loud (1025-1050k) 3-4 Cheerleader (950k-1150k) depending on where it peaks 5. Trap Queen (900k) 6-9 Blank Space (825k) 6-9 Sugar (820-840k) 6-9 Shut Up+Dance (750-850k) 6-9 Bad Blood (750-850k)
Well, #1 and #2 are no-brainer.
It is gonna be a good fight for #3. If Cheerleader peaks early then it will be #4, but if it goes on increasing in points for 6-7 weeks, then it will beat Thinking Out Loud.
Trap Queen should get the #5 spot.
6-9 positions will be close. All the songs are looking to finish around or just above 800k points. Also no other upcoming song, unless it is a mega-smash, will have the time to get 800k points from here.
Earned it(700k), Take Me To Church(670k) and Love Me Like You Do(650k) should also make it to Top-15. The other 3 positions in Top-15 will be claimed by songs yet to peak. Can't Feel My Face could be one such song.

Talking Body should make the top 30 Hopefully it can have decent longevity. Hoping Elastic Heart and Take Your Time can make the top 40 (even top 30, but I doubt it)

Praying for a miracle that TOL somehow withholds SYA from the top 2. SYA has already inflicted way too much damage (and not in a good way)...

No way Thinking Out Loud becomes higher than See You Again, See You Again 11 weeks at Number 1 and maybe counting, Thinking Out Loud 0 weeks, plus See You Again will be ranked higher than Thinking Out Loud for rest of year, so unless See You Again has a sudden downfall which I doubt will happen, it will finish 2nd at Year Ends Chart, Thinking Out Loud would be 3rd

I didn't know there was a "good" way to inflict damage lol. Lol sometimes people refer to something as inflicting damage meaning it just has a big impact regardless of whether it's a positive impact or negative impact. It can be used as a metaphor. My bad for the confusion lol

Is it a chance the weeknd could double up in top 10 of year end? That would be nice! I've been a fan of his since 2011 so I'm glad he's finally getting recognition over in the USA!
