He's always code-switching, which isn't unusual.

There's a countdown running on his site. Something is coming in 6 days.

I still think Only One is a really beautiful song. His performance could have been bigger though, I would've loved for them to incorporate a choir for the chorus.

Also, he's going into the studio with none other than the Ms.Swift.

It was for a BS Remix, just never materialized. Imo, that would've been Hella hot.

Ugh. A friend of mine found an easy way to get tickets to the event tonight and forgot to tell me. Anyway, he debuted a new song with Sia.

he debuted a new song with Sia. Performing it on SNL 40 right now, also features Vic Mensa. Called 'Wolves'. So, so much better than 'Only One'.

The auto-tune was messed up "Only One," so it sounded really, really terrible. He was also losing his voice.
"Jesus Walks" was great, as was "Wolves."

I like 'Wolves', but is sick of his singing. Hang that shit up.

Woof, "Only One" was rough. But "Jesus Walks" and "Wolves" were fantastic. Kanye's last few stints on SNL performances have been stunning.

If the album is 808s part two and filled with singing, I'll probably pass.

When he looked all crazy with the contacts, I was like...OK, Kendrick did it better. Then...that song with Sia. Usually, I love anything that Sia is involved in but it's sad when her best rap collab was with...Flo Rida.

About NOTHING. Let's see: Kendrick wore crazy contacts and sounded/looked possessed BEFORE Kanye and did it WAY better and didn't sound like he was going to literally die on stage. The song with Sia was beyond awful. That random guy Auto-tuning, Kanye mumbling whatever, Sia doing Sia...Sia is one of my all-time favorite artists and Eminem is my favorite rapper (based on technical skills) but...both of her songs with him have been non-events so...the only thing I can think of with a rapper she has done that I enjoy is Wild Ones. OOOOOOOOOOOOoooo.

Hm. I do like "Wild Ones". I have the audio version of "Wolves", maybe it's just the live version that is off.

808s is my favorite album from Kanye, but MBDTF right on its heels.

Well, the good thing about Pulse is that it's full of individuals. It's very rare where you see someone cite 808s as their favorite Kanye album and I LOVE pretty much everything the man does musically. It's a tossup between Yeezus and MBDTF for me, with Graduation and 808s being at the bottom of the pile. Before MBDTF came along, I didn't think he could get any better than the baroque Late Registration. Kanye and Jon Brion are a match made in heaven. My thing is...this AutoTune bulls**t needs to stop. Not here for the whole broken robot analogy I have seen tossed around on the Internet, either. Kanye can't sing and he sounds even worse with AutoTune so I am not really sure what the point is, other than the fact that Kanye does what Kanye wants and calls it art. It reminds me of when I saw Paul McCarthy's exhibit at the Tate Modern and walked out thinking: "Well, yes...I suppose vomiting and defecating on your partner and filming is art, in the true sense of the word, but doesn't make it actually GOOD."

808s is probably my favourite of his albums but MBDTF has higher moments so it's pretty much a toss-up for me but I'd rather he not try to recreate 808s. Only One is fine but I wouldn't want anything else like it on his next album.

I like the fact that there are hardcore 808 fans here, though. What songs do y'all love the most and what about the album makes it your favorite? I still love Amazing and Love Lockdown. The drums are insane. I also like Robocop, Say You Will, and Coldest Winter a lot. It's weird because Kid Cudi was so involved in that album and I LOVE his music...well, his first 2 albums and half of Indicud, that is.

MBDTF Yeezus Late Registration 808 & Heartbreaks/Watch The Throne College Dropout Graduation -------------------------------------- Hurricane Lee, The reason I mess with 808's, was his whole switch up after LR. His whole auto tune and somber approach worked. The only song I don't like is Pinocchio Story. I really don't know tbh, but I just felt his pain throughout the CD. Wasn't this the era where his mother passed?

Yeah. Wave., it definitely was and I remember how much pain he was in at the time. Coldest Winter is perfect for that reason. Do you not like Yeezus, tho?? @soblu: what do you mean? I feel like there are so many different kinds of people on Pulse with completely different tastes and also some people with similar tastes. It's one of the reasons I keep coming back. Even when I disagree, I enjoy reading what people have to say about all the different artists out there. Btw, who is that in your avatar? I thought Trina but wasn't sure?
