Yeah. Wave., it definitely was and I remember how much pain he was in at the time. Coldest Winter is perfect for that reason. Do you not like Yeezus, tho?? @soblu: what do you mean? I feel like there are so many different kinds of people on Pulse with completely different tastes and also some people with similar tastes. It's one of the reasons I keep coming back. Even when I disagree, I enjoy reading what people have to say about all the different artists out there. Btw, who is that in your avatar? I thought Trina but wasn't sure? Oh shit, forgot all about Yeezus.

1) It is the Godmother Katrina Laverne Taylor circa the Diamond Princess era.
2) I mean, I for one am not surprised that Ye's most electro-pop effort to date is the favorite of people on a board which places pop music on a pedestal.

Trina and Kanye should collab. The other day BWA from Foxy Brown's Chyna Doll album came on and I remember thinking Trina should've been on that song.

I wasn't aware that 808s and Heartbreak was pop but sue me for liking production value and melodies, I guess!
YES to Queen Trina though. Someone make that happen.

1 My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy 2 Late Registration 3 Yeezus 4 808s & Heartbreak 5 The College Dropout 6 Graduation (7 Watch The Throne)
(8 Cruel Summer)
808s is stellar - my favorite tracks are "Robocop" "Welcome to Heartbreak" and "Love Lockdown". I wouldn't mind an 808s meets Yeezus album, which is what I think might be coming?
It's obviously not my FAVORITE album by him and I think it's widely regarded as his least popular (perhaps, besides Yeezus) but it IS highly influential. The entire wave of sad-sack R&B/hip hop (and I say that lovingly) came from that album (paired with influences from MBDTF) - most obviously Drake but also Frank Ocean, The Weeknd, Childish Gambino, etc.

Kanye produced Trina's B R Right but that's the closest they've come to a collab. #muvaservesfacts
I actually think Nicki is the only female rapper he's had on one of his albums, but he's produced for a lot of them.

And the worst thing is that I will definitely find a way of making through the struggle of finishing it somehow.

Im going to finish it when I get home. I was halfway through, I enjoyed it. Cried at the Amber Rose jab, then cringed when he confirmed Tylie's relationship.

That interview was hardly a disaster. Obviously a few parts were a little like "What are you thinking?" but if you just don't like Kanye, you're going to hate the whole thing. The mood was much lighter than his last interview with them.
Ugh moments: -Him thinking that racism is gradually ending. Ugh. I wish he could get that race/class/religion intersect and aren't these mutually exclusive ideas. -His murky perceptions of the fact that Kim's shape is not respected. A lot of people have said that Kim Kardashian basically makes money off of having traditionally "black" features on a non-black body. I'm glad he agrees that his wife should be able to get naked if she feels like it though. -Disrespecting Amber Rose like that was foul. Especially since we all know what it was regarding how him and Kim got together, he should have just kept it moving. -Obviously everyone is grossed out about his implicit support of the Kardashian/Tyga thing. But I almost feel like...people are being so vocally up in arms just because everyone needs something to bitch about the Kardashians for. Like there are a lot of famous relationships that started when the girl was very young and the guy was a lot older (Bey/Jay, Kimora/Russell, Kobe/Vanessa) It's obviously gross but I really think some people are putting 20 on 10 and fake-caring just because they have a real reason to be pissed at the Kardashian Klan. -His talking about his WhiteVoice makes me sad. He's basically saying that he is willing to change himself so he won't be perceived as angry by racist yts.
Sidenote: It was cool that he acknowledged that he should be doing more for Teyana.

I didn't like what Kanye said about Amber. The 30 showers comment was gratuitous.
Kanye married Mother Thot and he's disgusted by his ex? Come on now.

lol, Kanye had Power edit out "[Tyga and Kylie] are in love" around the 29-minute mark. ...Huh? This is easily the most articulate, funny interview Kanye's given since Yeezus. Who said anything about how articulate Kanye is or isn't? I mean, he can't exactly think on his feet, but he's a grown man playing his hand in more than one industry now; one would rightfully assume coherent speech and endless reserves of charm also have a hand in his ongoing success. But if you think not being zooted for a morning interview means this interview was a success, then yes, it is. As for why I called the interview a disaster, my good friend @soblu articulates—but gives him only a slap on the wrist for—all the reasons well. In addition, his paper thin sympathy for working class people is a problem. He says his fugly shoes are priced at $350 or whatever for the benefit of his less fortunate fans who also just so happen to aspire to his hyper-consumerist lifestyle. Does that not ring as bulls**t to you? Moreover, and this might be more a personal vexation, his boasting about being a "futurist" who gets ahead of himself—as if he's actually less a curator than a producer—is pretty cringe-inducing. Derrick May he is not. That interview was hardly a disaster. Girl, have you not peeped the dash today? Ayesha Siddiqi's twitter? You better fall in line! Kanye married Mother Thot and he's disgusted by his ex? Come on now. If we're gonna subscribe to this good girl/bad girl dichotomy, I guess being a monied thot means you're far less thotty than a hood thot.

I mean but like...what did we expect? For Kanye to wild out on his wife's family over a situation that they all have staunchly OK'd and even defended?
I have my thoughts about Kylie/Tyga (it's gross, it makes no sense, it's clearly an older guy manipulating a young girl for her connections) but to me there is a very distinct feeling that people are only making this into some huge scandal because she is a Kardashian and people have this weird deep-seated need to piss and moan about everything Kris Jenner and her idiot children do with their lives. Did anyone give half a shit when Lindsay Lohan and the That 70s Show guy were living together 2 days after she turned 18? No. People just want to complain about how terrible the Kardashians are (and all of the criticism has this undercurrent where it's Kylie's fault) under the pretense of caring about older guys going after young girls.
It sounds like you already hate him and the way he's been presenting himself since 2004 so why did you think you would like this interview or any of his interviews ever?

People gave Wilmer sh!t because he was and still is notorious for preying on young Hollywood *cough* Demi Lovato* Tyga's situation is different because he had a child with a woman that Kim considered a friend and paraded down Calabasas, and than he proceeded to dump her publicly to shack up with an underage girl. The same young Lolita that is the sister of said friend. Tyga is now the black Joey Buttafuoco and we are all waiting for the metaphorical gun to go off. Kanye should've left the fight between Khloe and Amber. The end all is that n!gga has lost his mind.

I mean but like...what did we expect? For Kanye to wild out on his wife's family over a situation that they all have staunchly OK'd and even defended? Oh, I had no expectation of him doing one thing or other. I'm just here to be critical and to point and laugh. (You Armenian?) Did anyone give half a s**t when Lindsay Lohan and the That 70s Show guy were living together 2 days after she turned 18? No. Tabloids definitely gave half a shit but that union predates the social media boom. Onto the present, here, there are levels of fucked up provoking public outcry but I quite like Tyga myself. He has a vocal timbre that is missed in hip-hop today and you have to admire anyone who'll go out there and call out Drake for being "fake." As for the Kardashians, they're often directly behind their own controversy so I can't say I feel any sympathy for the PR insanity they generate and, thus, is lining their pockets. It sounds like you already hate him and the way he's been presenting himself since 2004 so why did you think you would like this interview or any of his interviews ever? Untrue. My past Kanye stanning is well-documented on this forum, but I think he lost the plot around the time Leo goddess Amber came into his life.

The Adidas site has been crashed since the release of the Yeezy Boost this morning, and the shoe is already sold out. Boss.

I liked the performance itself, but I'll need to hear a studio recording of the song. Parts of it sounded like a MBDTF demo.

Meanwhile, Kim is next to her snapping her fingers like, "YESSSS my Mandingo YESSSSS!" Which reportedly gave North a chance to crawl away from her as fast as she could...allegedly.

It was not the time for that sultry sh!t. I'm convinced she would dance to a song about the Holocaust if there was a beat she could bop to. But I love her for it. Pretty great interview with Zane Lowe today:
