She just needs to find someone who wants to make Kelly Rowland a star. I feel like her management and label are always complacent and do the bare minimum to get her out there. Last year she was almost a staple at Urban radio with all the features and she had an album coming out but it felt like there was no momentum. It's like she has all the dominoes in line but doesn't ever push the first one over to get it rolling.

She left Universal Republic Records . Her profile is no longer listed on their website.

I really hope she can find a situation that knows what to do with her. Since Motivation there has been clear interest in her but just no proper marketing strategy to get her career off the ground.

She had a rightful reason to be frustrated if her team was actively trying to get the label to release a single during her X-Factor time and they refused. It was a blatant snafu that could've been used as a great platform.

She's very talented and makes some great material. Hopefully she gets a better label. The last era was managed so horribly.

It was a blatant snafu that could've been used as a great platform. They were so mad that she canceled that rinky-dink tour with The-Dream for her X Factor gig that they allowed the album to tank. Ridiculous.

Well at least we know that she sees that there is a problem with her album campaigns.
I didn't even realize Kisses Down Low was certified. They should've sent Street Life, Red Wine, Talk A Good Game or almost anything else from the album as a second single and saved Dirty Laundry as a 3rd single with an Oprah interview exclusive. Then done a single like This Is Love for X Factor. She could easily be pushing into 300k (maybe even 400k if she got 2 big hits per era) if her label had a concrete plan in place aside from basic first week promo and a strong lead single.

Im glad she left Universal but honestly she needs to stop doing the R&B fluff. Her dance music was FLAWLESS and it really allowed her to shine. She needs to go back to combining the R&B and dance sound. She could really be this generations Donna Summer.

She did an interview with Huff Post Live and said they started working on the album last week. She's going for a different sound this era. Different drums, horns, flutes etc. Wants to collaborate with André 3000. Not sure whether she wants to be on a major or indie. A lot of different offers on the table. Working on a make-up and accessories line and looking at scripts. She's also the new face of Caress

Kelly Rowland and Timbaland feature on new visual album celebrating footballA new visual album celebrating football, featuring songs from Kelly Rowland and Timbaland as well as accompanying videos from Spike Lee and Idris Elba, was announced today By Rupert Hawksley 12:34PM BST 12 May 2014 A new visual album featuring some of the biggest names in music and film will provide football with an alternative soundtrack this summer – one that might just match the beauty and excitement of the World Cup action on the pitch. The Pepsi MAX Beats of the Beautiful Game visual album was announced today (May 12) and features 11 songs – a combination of original tracks, exhilarating remixes and reimagined classics – with accompanying videos that celebrate the world's most popular sport. Featuring tracks from Kelly Rowland, Janelle Monáe, Rita Ora and Timbaland, as well as videos from directors such as Idris Elba and Spike Lee, the visual album attempts to illustrate the relationship between music, film and sport, while also capturing the unique flavour and passion of football. Kelly Rowland, whose song The Game is accompanied by a video from Spike Lee, said: "I was immediately attracted to The Game because I can identify with its theme of overcoming challenges and finding your voice. "As an artist – and a huge film and sports fan – it’s been an incredible experience." The album has been released in conjunction with Cine Favela, a cultural non-profit organisation which supports young directors throughout Brazil, the country which hosts the World Cup this summer. Beats of the Beautiful Game track list: Janelle Monáe – Heroes, with filmtrack by The Young Astronauts Don Omar – Pura Vida, with filmtrack by Jessy Terrero Rita Ora – I Will Never Let You Down (Switch Remix), with filmtrack by Diego Luna R3hab feat. Eva Simons – Unstoppable, with filmtrack by Idris Elba Jetta – Crescendo Kelly Rowland – The Game, with filmtrack by Spike Lee Santigold – Kicking Down Doors, with filmtrack by Andy Morahan Timbaland staring Rachel Assil – Whoever We Are, with filmtrack by The Kolton Brothers Pearls Negras – Guerreira, with filmtrack by Cine Favela Jolin Tsai Yl-ling – Now is the Time, with filmtrack by Cai Yiqi Hassan el Shafei – Ahlam Men Gedial Each week, Pepsi MAX will premiere songs off the album as singles on the iTunes store, with accompanying filmtracks free to view the same day on pepsi.com/thegame, as well as artists’ YouTube or Vevo channels.

Wow, congrats! Motherhood might completely change her career so a new album might not arrive for a couple of years. I can see her totally being devoted to being a mother. Or it could give her the drive she needs to finally make shit happen. I doubt the latter.
Sidenote: I hope Michelle finds love because this just seems like more stuff people will use against her. SMH
