I think all the fans knew this was coming with the countdown on their website, and they sure delivered. It's early to tell if it'll do well at radio, but I've been watching it's placement on iTunes closely all morning.
Thoughts on it's success? They need to find the success they found in '(Kissed You) Good Night'. I think the back and forth girl/guy is the key, and thankfully this song does have it. It even, maybe I'm just too much of a dedicated fan, even harps back to the one line in their first single by mentioning pockets and rockets. It's cute, even if not intentional.
Is this for sure a radio single?

Really, really like this one.
When someone releases a new single from a forthcoming album, I get worried as to what it'll sound like. "Best Night Ever" is actually country and not the pop-infused techno rap that's being shoved down our throats nowadays. I hope this one does well for Gloriana and their next album is a continuation of the great music that was on their sophomore release.

Really like it! I must say I'm still baffled how Sunset Lovin' was never released as a single. I feel like that would have been an easy top 10 hit. I feel they are such an underrated band. I find them much more enjoyable to listen to than Lady A personally.

Releasing that one last summer would have been a no brainier if I was in charge at Warner/Emblem. I also agree with Dustin. I like that first two listens of the song. Their music is getting better and more country sounding as they go. And that's so refreshing now and days. Other than being burnt out by "Kissed You(Good Night)", I have liked every single so far. Hope they can get success with this.

I would have liked "Sunset Lovin'," but I do think that it ended up being in Gloriana's best interest to end the era after "Can't Shake You" and a fourth single would have definitely tanked if CSY wasn't even able to get into the top 15.
There's a general pattern that I've seen a lot lately with artists like Dustin Lynch, Jana Kramer, and Gary Allan and I suspect this pattern was also being mirrored by Gloriana's latest radio era. These artists all got a top 5 hit that "got the album out," and the following single started off with some momentum but fizzled out way before the top 10, killing the artists' momentum. Then, as we saw with Gary Allan, Dustin Lynch, and Jana Kramer, by the third single, they had no virtually no momentum and ended up with painfully slow climbs to dismal peak positions. Warner likely knew that there was no way anything on the album would have gained enough momentum to peak higher than CSY, so they decided to let Gloriana take a little break and come back a while later with a radio-friendly tune like "Best Night Ever" rather than killing their momentum even more by releasing a fourth single off A Thousand Miles Left Behind.

^ I always forget about "Wanna Take You Home" being the lead single. I usually agree with not killing momentum though. I think waiting a while and coming back strong with a new album his the best course of action. But personally I feel they should have found away to release "Sunset Lovin". Even if they had to relplace "Can't Shake You" with it instead.

Wow, this is excellent! I love Rachel's voice and their harmonies are excellent. One of my wishes for country music in 2014 is for them to breakout, love for them to earn a group of the year nod at the CMAs

I would also love Glorianna to break out and agree, they are very underrated. They have the sound, look-and I'm surprised they haven't become bigger already.
Really liked their last album and "Kiss you Goodnight" is one of my all time favorites.
Hoping this can do well on radio! I like what I hear so far.

I really like this song, but I also like there entire last album. At this point I think a top 20 hit would be considered a success for them.

I don't like this. I think the first verse is awful; the chorus is slightly more tolerable. I love Rachel's voice, so the second verse doesn't bother me as much. I think this song sounds like a lot of other stuff that's getting success on the radio right now, so I could see this doing well for them. It's hard for me to predict how Gloriana songs will do- I can't quite get a feel on how the majority of country fans feel about them.

I wonder why the adds date is so late. If this is going to do anything on the charts (which I think it will), I don't think any songs being released this month would be so huge that they'd take away all the attention from Gloriana and cause the single to flop altogether. It just strikes me as weird to release a lead single to iTunes two months before it is released to radio.

Hmm. I tend to agree with LBTrocks on this one. I can't stand the first verse, but the chorus on is infinitely more listenable. I don't love it immediately, but I don't hate it, either. I'd like to see Gloriana see some success with this, but I don't find it nearly as good as "(Kissed You) Goodnight" - and I adore that song still.

Looks like the add date was changed to 2/18 (they have a full page ad this week in Country Aircheck). Either way, I really hope radio takes notice and this becomes a huge hit (and finally reaches #1..not #2 again). The fans got behind them for KYGN and requested like crazy, and no doubt the Flats tour is going to help this tremendously.

So far this song isn't exactly doing well. It's still relatively early, and I think Warner is in for the long haul, but it's going to be another slow climb if "Best Night Ever" can become a successful single. It's been on the charts for 10 weeks and is bulletless at #49 on Billboard and down 4 slots to #53 on Mediabase.
I really would like for Gloriana to break through to that next level of stardom. "Kissed You (Good Night)" did wonders for them and "Can't Shake You" was a solid top 20 single, but it remains to be seen if they can have long lasting success. Hopefully this can get some more station support in the coming weeks.

I think this might be able to make the top 40, but it's not looking like it will do much more than that. Of course, it's hard to tell sometimes with the non-major artists and newbies--sometimes songs can linger for a long time and then slip through the cracks and suddenly explode--but I don't think that will happen here. They have virtually no momentum and the chart is just so competitive. Plenty of others are struggling too and many of them are coming off recent hits, but I still think radio has more incentive to play the latest from David Nail, Frankie Ballard, Kacey Musgraves, Dierks Bentley, Jon Pardi, Cassadee Pope, etc. than they do Gloriana's. I feel like Love & Theft is in the same boat as well.

This song is struggling, and Gloriana knows that, but they are determined to push hard for this one. I really think they are waiting on the Rascal Flatts tour this summer to help give it the push it needs. Their singles are always super slow moving, but then again, they haven't been on a major tour since 2009/2010 with Taylor Swift. And they have been NEEDING that exposure. I have a feeling the Flatts tour is JUST what they need to finally set them apart from Love and Theft and show people that they are true contenders.
I'm not giving up on this one just yet.

I love Gloriana and their last Album was one of my favorite from last year. This reminds me of the last era when they had Wanna Take You Home as their lead single and it never took off. With their age and looks, I just think they should be bigger and more successful than they are. It seems like they have some great material that they leave unreleased and other than Wild At Heart, and Kissed You Goodnight, the wrong songs are being released at the wrong times.

Most underrated group in the country genre imo. YES. I sound like a broken record, but once this Flatts tour starts in a couple weeks, I just have this great feeling that they'll finally get some recognition and start being noticed. Even though the Flatts haven't been nominated in a while (to my knowledge), they still are able to bring in a crowd. Everyone who opens for them does well. 'BNE' needs that big push.

I can't really get a feel for whether this song is going to catch on or not. After hearing 3 of the new songs so far that are going to be on their upcoming album, I think I like "Aint Running out of Summer yet" as a better single than BNE. I just think unless this picks up much better than it has, it's going to be a very long time before it gets up the chart.

^They are on youtube, I can't link here from work but they were from the recent radio visit with WDRM and they played this current single, a song called "Trouble" and Aint Running out of Summer".

It's finally cracked the Top 40 on both Billboard on Mediabase, so it's a start.
I agree their other new songs are more radio-ready, but I think with BNE they were trying to create an anthem. I hope it keeps making these huge 8-spot jumps the next few weeks.

I hope it keeps making these huge 8-spot jumps the next few weeks. It basically only moved up so many spots largely because so many songs dropped off the charts. This one still isn't gaining much audience, although it has been doing a bit better over the past 2-3 weeks than it had been doing before that. At this point, though, I think a peak similar to "Wanna Take You Home" (#34) is the best that this will do.
