I thought Spitfire was LeAnn's last album for Curb?? Now it appears, the label is releasing a christmas EP in November, then volume 2 in 2015 and 3 in 2016....This girl can't get a break!

"Sarah Buxton, Kate York, Daniel Tashian, and Ian Fitchuk formed their quartet Skyline Motel in 2012 to create music on their own terms. Now, nearly two years later, the band has released their first EP (this week)."

LOVE LOVE LOVE this (except for one song). Buzz awhile back on Twitter, but nothing in awhile. SO glad it came to fruition. And, love the cover pic.

UMG will also be releasing new ICON albums... Shania Twain and Josh Turner (2 disc) on September 9. I'm interested to see what Shania's looks like, because they usually only include 11 tracks, while her hits album had 18 hits plus the three new tracks.

Woah on the stretch in September and October. Lee Brice and Dustin Lynch one week, Tim McGraw the next, then Kenny Chesney the next week , then Lady A the week after, then Jason Aldean the week after.
Then, there's a one week break for the big mainstream releases before Little Big Town.

I'm not terribly familiar with his music, but I loved "Stealing Cinderella" and if the great "Us Again" is any indication of how the album will sound, I may be interested in this one!

God, I have been craving for new Faith Hill. I've been on a Faith Hill-music-binge all day yesterday and today. I really hope there is new material coming out this year. It doesn't have to be an album, a single would be fine. P.S. Meanwhile Back At Mama's doesn't count, tvym. I hope there'll be some news coming out soon about this. Maybe they can announce something once MBAM hits Top 5 on Country radio or #1?

I have also been wanting a new CD from Faith Hill, but have kind of given up on her, since we haven't seen anything from her in 10 years almost.

Faith said she recorded 3 CDs of some of her best material ever by her own account just to shelve them all. I think she gave up on herself.

Faith said she recorded 3 CDs of some of her best material ever by her own account just to shelve them all. I think she gave up on herself. Faith didn't do herself any favors by releasing "Come Home" and "American Heart" as singles for her unreleased Illusion album. Especially "Come Home" - if she had a strong single at that time in late 2011, it would have gotten her record out. "American Heart" was fine but nothing about it stood out and it ended up getting lost in the shuffle. IMO she hasn't had a strong single since "Stealing Kisses" in late 2006 and a quality radio friendly single since "Sunshine and Summertime" or The Lucky One" in mid 2006. The singles off her Greatest Hits never catching on hurt her momentum as well.

I agree sabre14, Come Home was absolutely worst choice they could've gone with. To this day, I still don't understand why they put that one out. It's more AC than Country and the song timed way too long to be played on radio. American Heart was good but it seemed like they wanted throw out something that'd easily get played on radio but that backfired on them because one, it isn't something you'd use as a lead single and two, because of failures during GH and the Come Home fiasco hindered it, tbh. Heck, I still believe that if they released Illusion as a single back then in 2011 instead of Come Home, I'd think it'd do well. I still jam to the live performance of that song to this day.
But this is sad. Really sad. I mean, shelving songs that could fill up 3 CDS?! Faith is immensely talented and capable of getting a hit if she works for it. I hope Faith do come into terms of realization that while she won't not be a big as she used to be, it's still okay to release material full of good/strong songs. One might even catch on radio and become big!
I also think Faith could get a Top 20 if she releases something right now because of MABM but let's all watch her not release anything and misses her opportunity to do so. (But I do think there might be a new single later this year, as her website is under renovations but I might be reading into it a little too much haha)

I'm a huge Faith fan, but at this point I've pretty much put her in the same category as Shania. I would love for them to release an album (and would buy it no matter what), but I'm also not counting on either of them ever releasing anything ever again.
As for Faith, I really believe that she's lost the desire that she once had to be an A-list star and release music regularly. She was arguably one of the 2-3 biggest female artists at the format (when that distinction actually meant something), and she basically just walked away from it all. I respect her choice for wanting to put her family first, but I do really miss her presense in music. With the right single, I do believe that she would be able to score a hit. Radio showed interest in "Come Home" and "American Heart" (moreso "Come Home", with the way it debuted), but neither were really the right fit for radio (though I did quite like "American Heart").
Now does seem to be a great time for her to try again, after "Meanwhile Back At Mama's", but I won't hold my breath.
