Randy & Wade continue to rule with their latest slice of Texas' finest; and their second chart-topper. Canada's stranglehold has loosened up a bit this week with Cold Creek County leaving the Top 30 (my North Of The Border guilty pleasure). Gord & Paul are still doing extremely well. Brad Paisley moves into the Top 10 with a brilliant example of contemporary country; and the 3rd single from "Moonshine" to do so. For the very first time there's an Australian entry making the Top 30 with Mustered Courage at #28. This fun track with its own blend of bluegrass is still riding high on the Aussie airwaves. Two major new entries shake up the chart and enter very high. Both are scoring >1 play ratio. Texas: Josh Abbott Band: "Amnesia" that crashes in at #39. This will definitely become one of my fave 2015 songs. YouTubeAustralia: Luke O'Shea & Amber Lawrence: "I Will Catch You" coming in at #47. Hauntingly beautiful and addresses the sensitive topic of post-war traumata. YouTubeElsewhere, the debuts are: #148 Kip Moore: "Running For You". This entry is entirely driven by the Billboard chart. Still impartial. (My chart is compiled before the Billboard is published; so I don't know yet whether he made it into the Top 60) #149 Chris Stapleton: "Fire Away". Very cool track and strong vocals from veteran Stapleton who manages out of the box 257 spins at Texas. #150 Derek Ryan: "Bendigo". Irish boy-band wonder turned bluegrass wunderkind. Jolly tune with plenty of fiddle re-living the popular Country & Western tales of the pioneers. Kenny is in his last week, but you are correct about Keith and Maddie and Tae. Once they go recurrent on Billboard, they get one more week here and then they are ineligible to be voted on. Keith and Maddie + TE's new singles are eligible.

3 things:
#1: Is this kinda like a thread for posting Personal Country Charts? 'Cuz that's the idea I got when I saw this thread.
#2: I had no idea there was an eligibility rule here and/or a recurrent rule that has to be followed. My apologies.
#3: I'm trying to get a bit more active in the Country forum. And the reason why? I need to get away from all the rude posters over in the more popular threads, especially lyhom. I doubt he'll ever come here, so I'll just openly say it here.

This is the exact wording: -Eligible songs to be voted for: any of the songs in the top 60 Billboard Airplay Chart, those listed in the New and Active portion of the Billboard Monday Evening Update or songs that have official add dates from All Access or other acceptable meansNB: ...and it doesn't specifically say U.S. only. That's the loophole for Canada.... ;)

Please review the guidelines provided by trebor and replace the two ineligible songs in your submission. And as a side-note, I'd hope that your posting in the country forum is because you actually like country music, not just because the community is "nicer," lol.

The specific rules are on the first page but songs are eligible as long as they have an add date, are on the current Billboard Top 60 Country Airplay chart or in Billboard's New & Active (they are posted on Monday). Once a song goes recurrent, they go recurrent here the following week. And as trebor said, some people use it to highlight Texas or Canadian artists on their own personal chart. I try to count and release the Pulse chart on Monday (sometimes I am late, but worst case it is usually Tuesday). Basically this thread just allows us to have our own chart and gives people an opportunity to see what other Pulse members think about what is on Country radio right now and how your opinions vary with the overall thoughts of Pulse. Let us know if you have any more questions! We are a little nicer than some Pulse threads ;)

And as a side-note, I'd hope that your posting in the country forum is because you actually like country music, not just because the community is "nicer," lol. I do. I've only liked it for 2 years now, but I actually do like some country music. I don't have the huge amount of knowledge of the country genre like all of you, but I know enough to try and start contributing more to this section of the forum. Oh, and let me clear something up: It's not because I'd like to post in a "nicer" community, it's just so that I can post and contribute without the rude remarks if I'm inaccurate about something or if you all think elsewise. Lots of posters have gotten away with doing just that to me and they all expect me to crash and burn by responding right back in a fierce, negatory way (no pun intended). And I haven't done that (although there have been a few close calls), which sets me apart from the lower ranks of Pulse's worst. bigfan101, it's fine. And thanks for that welcoming statement.

Alright, so you want me to change 2 of my entries... very well then.
As of 10•30•15:
1. Die a Happy Man by Thomas Rhett 2. Nothin' Like You by Dan + Shay 3. Smoke Break by Carrie Underwood 4. Save It for a Rainy Day by Kenny Chesley 5. I'm Coming Over by Chris Young 6. Break Up in a Small Town by Sam Hunt 7. Lose My Mind by Brett Eldredge 8. Top of the World by Tim McGraw 9. Gonna by Blake Shelton 10. 21 by Hunter Hayes
One last thing: You said Kenny's in his last week. Do songs go recurrent once they fall below #10?

One last thing: You said Kenny's in his last week. Do songs go recurrent once they fall below #10? RECURRENTSOn Country Airplay, descending titles below No. 10 in either audience or detections are moved to recurrent after 20 weeks, provided that they are not still gaining enough audience points to bullet or if they rank below No. 10 and post a third consecutive week of (non-bulleted) audience decline, regardless of total chart weeks. On Country Indicator, descending, non-bulleted titles below No. 10 are moved to recurrent after 20 weeks or if they post a third consecutive week of decline in plays after 10 weeks. Billboard Country Update - Charts 11/07/15
Jake: The Country Airplay chart works and behaves differently than the CHR ones.

I am afraid I must have jinxed Reba last week when I said that UTDLY had no competition for the #1 slot, so it would more than likely continue to be #1 until it went recurrent. Now that it has fallen off the charts, this will unfortunately be its last week at #1 unless for some reason it manages to reappear on the charts. It is followed in the #2 position by a hot shot debut, however, as Erica Nicole and Jamie O'Neal make a grand entrance into my chart. Their fabulous ballad of pure female power has a strong chance of taking over the #1 spot in the future; the only problem is I am not sure if their song is eligible yet since an official add date has not been announced... The rest of the top 15 sees very little change, with everyone holding more or less steady, except "That Don't Sound Like You" and "Live Forever" disappear to make room for "Head Over Boots" and "Break Up In A Small Town". I doubt the latter will ever make it into my top 10, but I cannot help but find its groove to be infectious even if it has no business being on country radio...
1) Until They Don’t Love You - Reba McEntire (--) 2) Like I Do - Erica Nicole ft.
