For some reason, listening to this-- and it's such a weird parallel-- but all I could think of was Will Smith. It's cute, but he's had much better. background and some moves are very MEN IN BLACK

My issue with this isn't the song itself but as a lead single, it's almost as if Usher is afraid after the debacle of the last album to go into his more usual crossover lead single, Usher needs imo to lead of his album in a major way this song is just meh. I wouldn't have a issue if I heard it on the album or single 4/5 but this just isnt a strong single. That's my issue not the song but I just feel this is a epic fail as a LEAD. Having said that i would much rather listen to this than the dance/pop singles of the last album.

This is doing well on iTunes. Already at #85 That's not doing well by any means. Someone of Usher's stature should be in the top 20, if not top 10, by now.

It's only been less than 24 hours. Besides Love In This Club and OMG I cannot remember Usher doing THAT well digitally.

This gets better with repeated listens I was already singing the chrous the first time I heard this but I was really sold on this after listening to it the 2nd time. I absolutely love the production on this.
UAC will eat this up. I'm interested in seeing how the other formats react to this.

Not really feeling this one. It'd be a decent album track, but lead single? No. My least favorite lead single of his. Hopefully there won't be a big gap between this and single #2.

Not impressed whatsoever. I hate the drums in this. His falsetto is truly on point, however, the whole structure of the song doesn't make since to me.
I really need to stop wanting him to evolve & bypass what his "peers" are doing. I wouldn't be surprised if another song surfaces within the next month or so.

I actually really loved Looking 4 Myself, it was cohesive and had a smooth electro-r&b/pop fusion going on (which obviously isn't going to be for everyone). The singles and most of the album tracks were much stronger than this (yes, I LOVED "Numb").
"Good Kisser" is okay as an album track like many others have said, but at this point anything would've been underwhelming following something as incredible as "Climax".

^mmmm, "Go Missin" was sooooo good. i still play that on the regular. I'll put this ahead of "Can U Get Wit It" and "Papers" now. papers was so weird to me. no promo, no video, and (as far as i know) no performances of it, ever. unmelodic and downright comedic lyrics. and yet it was a success somehow. it took me months to realize that a) the song wasn't a joke and b) urban fans/radio didn't think the song was a joke and were making it a hit. putting GK on par with "Papers" makes sense though. that's probably how he should treat it - as an urban heater for the era, nothing more and nothing less. CUGWI...lol. little 14-15 year old was way too young for that kind of song. funny thing about that though is it's not like the song is 'timeless' in any sort of way but i feel like if he released it now it would be right in line with what we expect from him and would probably be a big urban hit. have we really come that full circle with this retro trend? hmmm. That's not doing well by any means. Someone of Usher's stature should be in the top 20, if not top 10, by now. Climax didn't do that why would this? It's only been less than 24 hours. Besides Love In This Club and OMG I cannot remember Usher doing THAT well digitally. DJ and "Without you" (though technically not his song) too. Usher's pop hits generally do well enough digitally (Numb's floppage notwithstanding). Even "Scream" went platinum, not bad for what was really only a small pop hit for him. this probably says less about Usher himself and is more indicative of how the pop genre sells more digital singles than urban does, on the whole. but as to Usher himself, he didn't release this with much fanfare or buildup, he's no longer an immediate 'check-for' type with the mainstream audience, and after a full day to marinate on it i think this song is really full-on urban with little crossover potential. so i wouldn't expect much in the way of sales to be honest.

'Say the Words' was a great song and was better than this. I'll never understand why it was relegated to a bonus track and never released as a single.

I'm surprised RCA didn't arrange a radio deal for this.
