Been listening to her "Think Like a Man, Too" album for the past two weeks and it's actually pretty good. Not as great as her previous albums, but a solid release. Favorite jam has been "Moment of Love" all this week.

I really love "Nobody But You". It is in the same vein as "Right Now", but this one is more instant for me.

These songs just aren't doing it for me. They're all just okay. None of them are terrible or bad per se, just missing something. Mainly strong hooks. And for all the hype she put on working with UK producers/artists... well, the production is unimpressive for the most part.

IMO these songs are refreshing and different from the DJ. Mustard crap that's on the radio today. I'm loving everything that's been released so far. Especially Right Now. I can get my "mary bop" on with that.

I like "RN." "Right Now" is a cute song. That's it. The production is nothing new or inspired. If Mary is going to go down that road, why not do something risky and not so safe. And I think that's the best word to describe everything released so far... safe. Why fly overseas and hype up material that she could easily make in the US. I don't know, maybe it's the way this is being presented, I expected something risky and something different. And all I'm getting is... nice.

Wow, you think Therapy and Nobody but you isn't risky for an artist like MJB? oh ok.

Not at all. She's dabbled in dance/pop before. Sounds like the international bonus tracks on ML Part II to me. And "Therapy" is nothing she hasn't done either, she's done the organic soul thing already (and better, see Mary).
Again, I'm not saying these tracks are bad. Just good. The way it's being hyped up, I expected something fresh and different. And these songs just aren't catchy to me, where the hell is the hook?

I agree with this. All the tracks (except for "Whole Damn Year" for me) I enjoy a lot, but none so far justifies the hype of her move to London to work with completely fresh producers for this album. I also agree that the songs, maybe besides "Therapy," lack strong hooks.

I agree that for a project that's being marketed as something different and being the "London sound," it sounds an awful lot like typical late 00s/early 10s Mary J. Blige.

I'm really liking Nobody But You alot more now. Whole Damn Year is still my #1. Kind of wish they named the album something else. The London Sessions seems too cliche like it's not an original studio album release. Therapy would have been a decent title.

Why did they give her these poppy ballads like "Doubt" and "When You're Gone"?
