I'm told she's being sued over WDY because the sample wasn't cleared. That explains the lack of a live performance if true. Lololol.. that lie was started by a fan on maryluvs.shes not being sued. There was a clearing issue that the label has taken care of. I didn't know how much was true but I had wondered why we hadn't gotten a WDY live performance yet when it's the biggest radio hit to come from the album thus far.

Think Mariah's CD is better than K Michelle's..lol. London Sessions >> MyLifeII>Mariah Carey>K Michelle>J Hud>Faith I find nothing memorable about the latest albums from Mariah Carey>K Michelle>J Hud>Faith. The great thing is we all have opinions. Certainly I would not be posting negative comments in a thread about how the other ladies' albums do not deserve to be #1 if one of their albums was rated as such. Ain't nobody got time for that. Get out of here and go stan in their threads... Please show some respect. I don't think I said anything wrong. I said that I liked Mary's album. That's far from being negative. You said it yourself that we all of have opinions. And musicborn82, I usually like most of your posts, so show me some respect as well. I work three damn jobs. I definitely don't have time for the hate.

However, I was agreeing with "supa" how I wouldn't go in other artists threads saying "oh they don't deserve this accolade, this album/artist is better. I just thought that was kinda wack.. ijs.

6. The London Sessions Twenty years since her debut, Mary J. Blige is on her third or fourth act at this point — and she still managed a creative breakthrough in 2014. During a month-long residency of sorts in England, the Queen of Hip-Hop Soul called on a surprising crew of people like Sam Smith, Disclosure, Emeli Sandé and other contemporary U.K. luminaries to make a record that convincingly encompasses doo-wop, classic soul, deep house and gospel — all the American music the country's most celebrated pop exports been reworking for the last decade. Your move, Mark Ronson. C.D. Read more: www.rollingstone.com/music/lists/20...5#ixzz3MBywi9Kz Follow us: @rollingstone on Twitter | RollingStone on Facebook

I thought for sure that this project would have done better than it has. They really had the hype machine going for this at first. Everything started off well, selling the concept and quality of the project. They just really dropped the ball with the sloppy single rollouts. In all honestly, I still don't know what the official singles are, lol. And she needed to step up her talk show circuit presence for this one. I think some key performances and interviews would really help sell this.

If the material's strong enough, it crosses over formats (John Legend's "All of Me," Taylor Swift's "Shake It Off"), but I can see why they tried throwing three out to show the diversity of the album.

Kinda disappointed with the amount of promo she's done for this project. Seems like she said "f**k it" after it leaked. Mary is normally all over the place promoting her s**t. She was everywhere from the Home Shopping Network to the Country Music Television channel cramming A Mary Christmas down people's throat. With this album, I feel like I only know about it because I'm a fan who actively follows her.

The Leg-Sculpting Move That Worked for Mary J. Blige By News & Views MJB, who turns 44 this January, has a leg up on her fellow songbirds—literally. You can credit the Straight Leg Deadlift/Reverse Princess Lunge for her toned limbs. “It works the glutes, quads and hamstrings while keeping the heart rate raised,” says her trainer, JR Allen.

I saw her on Kelly and Michael and really wish she would have performed. I don't get why singers go on talk shows and don't sing? I know Kelly and Michael isn't that "Exclusive" or anything but I bet their ratings are just as good if not better than some of the late night talk shows.
Is "Right Now" still lingering under the Top 50 on the Top 40 chart or is it done? On a sidenote my friend put this song on one of her mixes for the car. She's not huge on new music so I was surprised this is one of the new songs she decided to add.

Mary J. Blige is set to appear at the Cannes Film Festival later this year (15) to premiere a documentary about the making of her latest album, The London Sessions. The Real Love hitmaker spent part of last summer (14) living and working in London in the hopes of recording a full Ep with her F for You collaborators Disclosure, but when they only came up with one new track, her label boss suggested she recruit other British artists for an album of her own. She had a camera crew capture her adventures on film and submitted the documentary to Cannes Film Festival bosses for consideration, and now Blige reveals the project has been accepted for screening at the annual French bash, which kicks off in May (15). She explains, "I came back to the States (after working with Disclosure) and was discussing it (the joint Ep) with the chairman of Capitol Records... and he made it a bigger idea actually, he said, 'Well, why don't we have you go back to London, not to work with Disclosure only, but have you write with Sam Smith, Emeli Sande, Naughty Boy, all the English talent, and document the whole thing and call the album The London Sessions?' "A camera (crew) was following me everywhere. You have to see the documentary on this. I mention it because we just got accepted into the Cannes Film Festival." And Blige knew she had a hit album on her hands after receiving positive feedback from her pal Sir Elton John, who is always happy to dole out constructive criticism. She adds, "Anytime I finish an album or I'm about to do an album, I always seem to run into my friend Elton John and he always gives me the truth. If I didn't do it right, if I did it wrong, he'll say, 'You guys didn't do it right.' We respect his opinion because... he's a real person."

I was wondering what happened, because it was supposed to just premiere on TV last month. I like that she is seeing this project out, and making it more of a "milestone" moment, even though it may not have sold what was expected...

She will be featured on the season finale of FOX's hit show, Empire. She will also be featured on the soundtrack on a song called "Shake Down" with Terrance Howard. (And before someone asks, I'm pretty sure it's not the same one from "Growing Pains.")
