We got some info from people that have heard the song: - Don't wanna spoil you the surprise about that, that's not my job. Just wanted to say some little info since it's been 3 long years... I'll just say that they're singing in a way like they're competing to see who's hotter (?), well there's like "fighting" in the verses and then a sensual-mystic-dance driven chorus. The song will make everyone happy, don't worry!
- Some info about the song: It's a dance-hit, a mix between Where Have You Been meets She Wolf. Be ready to dance + you won't be able to get the choirs you can listen in the background of the chorus out of your head.
- The vocals are hot and quite ethereal, there's a mystic vibe to the song. Dance but with nice instrumental in the back, it's not bland.

I hope it sounds nothing like "Where Have You Been".

I also hope it's not David Guetta's "She Wolf".

Whenever they hype this stuff up it always underperform. Id rather them just drop the single with no warning at all and be surprised.

I remember Shakira's last duet with a famous female. And it SUCKED.
I can't imagine what these two will sound like together. Probably like two angry sheep fighting over a Clark Bar.

Yay @ this coming next week! I am ready to once again be slayed by Shakira. <3 This song sounds like it's gonna be hot. I actually love the title (I don't think it's all that hard to interpret the intention behind the phrase, even if it's worded a little "different") and the Rihanna feature should make things interesting. I hope that 2014 is a big year for her. I want to see a big era at pop radio for her this time!

I remember Shakira's last duet with a famous female. And it SUCKED. Most diva duets are rush-jobs or remixes. Beautiful liar was a rush-job too. This song is different. They've been working on it for awhile. It will most likely be a quality duet. They picked this song out of 3 potential lead singles, including the hot dance track "truth or dare." It's most likely a hot song. We'll see. Personally, I'm not a big fan of BL either.

I mean, not to be cynical (but to be cynical), Shakira hasn't had a major US radio hit in years, so it's possible they chose this over their other options because it has the biggest radio act of the past decade on it. At the very least, it will lead to more initial interest from radio than a solo Shakira track.

Is it too early to open a poll on wholl sound worse? Can you please wait until you've heard the song? It's like the 2nd or 3rd time I see a post of yours going on how this may be a hot mess, who'll sound worse, etc.

I loved "Beautiful Liar." That duet was plenty hot imo (Shak and Bey's vocals worked really nicely together and that beat was euphoric <3) and I hope this one is even better.

"Beautiful Liar" came on the radio while I was driving to work today and I had fun listening, and shamelessly, singing along to it in an annoying fashion, haha I admit it sounded better to me back in 2006 than it does now, but still a great track. I hope "Can't Remember To Forget You" is just amazing as well.

I just thought "Beautiful Liar" was extremely boring. My least favorite single from either of them from 2005-2007.

At the very least, it will lead to more initial interest from radio than a solo Shakira track. Shakira always has this problem when she returns because the gap between her albums is usually 3-4 years. That's unheard of in the pop world. I remember after Laundry Service people kept saying "when is the new album out" "we need a new single soon or people will forget about her." But, she still sticks to what she's comfortable with. Her team is used to her releasing schedule. She typically manages to make successful returns. But, I do agree that this time around it will likely be a little easier for her since she'll have Rihanna on the lead single. Single #1 will have Rihanna, single #2 will have the voice (for promo). Hope it all goes well :) The other potential lead singles were "Truth Or Dare" and a rock/dance track. Both solo songs, one of those might be the 2nd single. I do wonder what will happen to "Truth or Dare." It has a Spanish version and a finished music video. That single was canceled because of her pregnancy:

What a horribly unnatural sounding title. This could be an epic mess. Good thing Rihanna rarely features on a flop.

The reason I was underwhelmed was because I expected something better from them. That song was put together very quickly to add it to BDay's re-release. I wanted them both to go into the studio together and come up with something creative. BL is pretty much HDL V2. But, I do enjoy the song :)

I love the clever title but Shakira has always had weird ass titles. "Laundry Service"??? "Oral Fixation"?? This is nothing new. ??? Elvis had a #1 country song titled "I Forgot to Remember to Forget" - so this is hardly clever, weird or original.
