This song leaves me speechless. There aren't enough words to express my detestation for this.

These lyrics are pretty awful, and Tyler's "rapping" is pretty bad (I would have much preferred "People Back Home" if they had to go with a hick-hop song. That one is great).
That said, I do like the chorus.
This should do well for them again.

Yeah, as long as this song is on the radio, I'm not switching to any Country channels at all, period. I can't even begin to express how putrid of a song this is, if you'd even like to consider it a song.
If you can find a redeeming quality in this song, please let me know because I'd love to know your thought process behind seeing even a smidge of high-quality aspect to this unparalleled trash. I don't care if he's the biggest star in this genre and I don't care if they're the biggest duo on planet earth at the moment; Luke Bryan and Florida Georgia Line are detriments to Country music and have played the largest parts in absolutely massacring what was ever left of this genre's reputation. This song is total symbolization of that. If you choose to think otherwise, that's fine, but that's how I feel and I know I'm not alone when I say it.
God bless the Grammys for granting us a Florida Georgia Line-free awards show.

And the embarrassment continues...
The only "redeeming quality" here is the melody in the chorus, if you wanna call it such a thing. I only listened to the 90-second preview on iTunes and I shook my head at the possibility of hearing this in every single doggone direction once summer starts. While the preview was playing, I was expecting Tyler Hubbard to refer to the women he "chills" with as "the hottest little b*****s in town" while he was rapping. Before my semester begins tomorrow, I'm gonna find a pillow or cushion and scream until I lose my voice and perhaps start crying, too.

I think they miss the top ten with this too. While this is the same kind of song they have released before and it has Luke attached to it, it's nowhere near the catchiness or whatever you call what their previous releases had.
I'm actually pretty confident this will miss the top ten and lead to the end of the "Here's to the Good Times" era.

This should be an easy top 10 IMO.
"The Only Way I Know" is a good comparison.
Spoken word song featuring multiple superstars when all are at their peak popularity that is only slightly catchy with bad lyrics.

I can't even think of how country radio, as bad as it's gotten, can play this song. The rapping by Tyler is unbearable IMO. I can't even understand how the label thought it was a good idea to green light that. And the lyrics are just as bad as "It'z Just What We Do".
"Yeah baby, this is how we roll We rollin' into town With nothin else to do, we take another lap around Yeah holler at your boy, if you need a ride If you roll with me, yeah you know we rollin high Up on them 37 Nittos, windows tinted hard to see though How fresh my baby is in the shotgun seat oh Them kisses are for me though, automatic like a freethrow This life I live, it might not be for you but it's for me though Let's Roll"
Those are the worst lyrics I have ever heard in a country song in my life. If this winds up continuing the streak of #1's, I just might have to make myself a full time CD listener.

I must say, I'm shocked at some of you predicting this will not make the top 10. I'll be totally shocked if this doesn't have huge digital sales and go straight to #1. This is the hottest country act out there right now. I would even say this duo is more popular than Luke Bryan. Radio and the Media love these guys.

Prediction: This will get a Clear Channel debut. It won't get a Clear Channel debut. Songs only get that treatment when they are off a forthcoming album (or, in the case of "Boys 'Round Here," an album being released the day of the premiere). The point is to do a world premiere of the song, and this has already been available for almost two months, so there's no point in a Clear Channel deal. I enjoy the chorus and melody of this, but the second verse bothers me. It's not that I mind the mix of hip hop, because I accepted it when Jason Aldean released "Dirt Road Anthem," but the lyrics and vocals are pretty bad in that part of the song. Other than that, I really enjoy the song. I agree that there are too many party songs being released to country radio, but I don't mind a few party songs and FGL and Luke generally do a good job of releasing catchy material. I'm not sure how this will do on the charts. It's just that second verse that will probably be very polarizing. Other than that, I'd say this would be an instant multi-week smash, but there's always the chance this will hit a ceiling around the top 10. I definitely don't feel anywhere near the confidence some have expressed that this will absolutely miss the top 10, but I'm slightly skeptical to say it will go all the way to the top of the charts. I'll come back with a solid chart prediction later on.

2014 may be the year I completely remove all country stations from my presets.

Well, what more can I say. I obviously am not a fan of FGL nor much of a Luke fan anymore, so I don't really have anything good to add about this other than wondering just what Luke is thinking? I mean, seriously, this is the direction he wants to take his career? I am going to take a dissenting opinion and say this will be a huge hit for FGL and Luke Bryan. This is going #1 folks, get ready for it.

This song is the culmination of everything I can't stand in country music right now. I'm embarrassed to be a fan of this format because of songs like this. Boys round Here. I can live with that but this is over the top throw up awful. Don't get me wrong. I can appreciate a few of these bro country songs but this is so bad in so many levels.

This song is the symbol of everything that makes me feel shamed to say I love country music. I agree with Layne and countryboi though; this song will be huge hit. I don't think it will do as well as "Stay" or certainly "Cruise", but these guys are the hottest thing in country music and one of the hottest things going in all genres of music. Their songs sell mindblowingly well, and they have the full support of radio right now. Along with the biggest label group going. I hope I'm dead wrong, but I don't predict this falling short of the top 10 :(.

I can't decide which song is worse – "This Is How We Roll" or "Ready Set Roll".

I can't decide which song is worse – "This Is How We Roll" or "Ready Set Roll". Personally, I'd go with RSR; the intro to that absolutely does not belong on a country station. In fact, it should've been given to Ke$ha or some upcoming electro-dance act ala Icona Pop, Zedd, or maybe Avicii. TIHWR at least has a catchy melody, despite being pretty abominable itself.

I've been a big fan of everything FGL has released so far. IMO this song is a major step back for them. It's really bad.

Wow, this is so bad. Like some of you, I think this misses the top 10 as well. Country Music will allow some terriblness but not at this level. (For example, Jason Aldean's 1994)

I like the part where Luke Bryan sings by himself! The only part of the song that actually sounded legitimately(well IMO of course) country!

I know I am definitely in the minority on this board, but I actually like this song as well as all of the other FGL singles.
So before anyone jumps on me, let me explain myself.
I have a very eclectic musical taste. I like almost every kind of music other than hardcore rap and jazzy or R&B boring stuff. But with that said, I enjoy my fair share of top 40/pop music like Ke$ha and Katy Perry and I also like my fair share of country music like George Strait and Reba McEntire. I like both of these genres of music, but I like them for different reasons. I like pop music because I like singing and dancing along to fun, catchy lyrics and melodies, but I like country music because of the storytelling in country lyrics that give us emotional depth and vulnerability, and paints a picture of whats going on in the songs - I also love me some banjo and mandolin.
With that said, I like FGL's music for the reason I like pop music and that's because it is pop music with added in twang and a fiddle or banjo. As much as I do like some of the songs that are a part of this new trend of country music, I hate it because it not country music. Like I said, this is pop music and it is clogging up the country music industry and taking the spotlight away from the things I love about country music. I like "This Is How We Roll" for the same reason that I like Macklemore's "Thrift Shop" - its catchy and fun, yet lyrical garbage.
So as I do enjoy some of this trend (definitely not all of it though), I sincerely hope it dies out soon or at least relocates to the correct genre.

How on earth can a group of serious musicians make a such a pile of feces and not be embarrassed. That rapping is just - wow - I may not know much about rap, but that is just unlistenable. The guys do know how to write a chorus melody - I'll give them that. It's just a shame they have to use such god awful lyrics.

It's quite interesting that Florida Georgia Line never does a ballad the closest they have come to one is "Stay" yet here Luke Bryan can do some great ballads and serious songs like "Drink A Beer" and "Do I" and yet turns around and does something like this and That's My Kind Of Night. Rest assured that this bro-co country won't be changing any time soon as long as others like Cole Swindell are doing the same thing.
