She has a strong sense of melody and hook so even though some of the songs meander to me, it's an overall solid R&Bass album.

"All Hands on Deck" and "Wildfire" are genuinely fantastic tracks.

The whole album is fire. I might SLIGHTLY prefer 2 of her mixtapes but it's still really impressive.
I'm sure they don't want to make her out to be some ratchet turn up queen so they released Pretend as the 2nd single but All Hands On Deck is a smash.
Edit: Favorites are Wildfire, Baited Breath, Feels Like Vegas, 2 On, Bet and All Hands On Deck. But there isn't a bad song on there imo.

My only issue is who let Future in the studio to do them f#cking yelps tho :kii: Like it's not remotely artistic or cute in the least.

Great album. My personal favorites are "Bet," "Cold Sweat" (which I'm surprised isn't getting more love)," "All Hands On Deck," and "Wildfire." But really this is an album that one can play without hitting skip.
Also, lol @ Lastfm. Get it together!

This album reminds me a lot of Janet. I feel that there are a few pop hits here, but not much more for urban radio. Overall, decent debut.

Still love the album and cannot stop listening to it but I think the one thing that's missing that was on a lot of her mixtape stuff was the more explicit sex songs. There's nothing quite as sexually charged and explicit as That, Secret Weapon, Let You Love Me, Vulnerable, etc. and I think that's my only complaint for the album as a body of work. She has shown to have a remarkable ability to write great music about cunnilingus and various forms of penetration but I guess for a mainstream debut, she didn't want to rock the boat too hard (How Many Times notwithstanding.)

I just listened. I loved Feels Like Vegas, All Hands on Deck, How Many Times and Cold Sweat. Pretend burned on me quickly and I overplayed 2 On to death. The album is decent and I feel like "All Hands on Deck" and "Feels Like Vegas" have the most potential.

Turn up in your mouth...Future, REALLY?!? Listening to this classic album for the first time. She is getting all these comparisons to mousy-voiced girls like Aaliyah (RIP), Cassie (LOL), and Jhene Aiko (lol), but...nah, Tinashe can SING. How Many Times proved that. She really is on Janet's dick with these interludes but they are so short that they don't really bother me and just prepare me for the classic song that is about to start. I am stanning for this girl. Hell, this whole movement, whatever the hipsters want to label it, is HOT. My favorite style of music all around. Could be because I love the weed but whatever. I'm riding to it. Edit: I went to a hood Best Buy in NYC and it was sitting on the shelf full, so I don't have high hopes for sales, unfortunately. Pretend is ITUNES single of the week, btw. Good looks, Apple!

I'm PRAYING that she doesn't get shafted by her label when the initial sales are low. Pretend was the wrong single choice but there's no reason she couldn't sell decently in the long run if they market this album correctly.
