This song sounds so cool. I hope Alternative starts trending towards these new sounds and leave the generic indie music behind.

This is awesome. I'd like to see this get embraced.
Wasn't surprised to read on Wikipedia that the members of the band are sons of John Kongos, as the sound isn't far removed from his own signature hit "He's Gonna Step on You Again".

Coolest use of the accordion since Weird Al. Quite the rockin' tune too. Reminds me of The Features.

Looks like they just signed with Epic Records...good luck with that. What's wrong with Epic? They seem to have a solid line-up. Off of the top of my head, two promising pop acts Bonnie McKee and Fifth Harmony both don't have release dates for their albums lol so it's kind of a mess right now. Their two biggest stars (not including Michael Jackson) are Avril Lavigne and Ciara so that says a lot right there lol. They do have The Fray and The Script though and they tend to usually do pretty well so maybe Epic can make an alternative band like this work. The song sure is blowing up here already.

I finally got around to hearing this. It's definitely an interesting one. Very experimental. I wouldn't say it's amazing but is indeed a catchy song for sure.

Coolest use of the accordion since Weird Al. I have to admit, one of the reasons I'd like to see this become a big hit is so Al can give it the parody or polka treatment. That aside, this is a pretty cool song.

From FMQB: 58 33 KONGOS Come With Me Now,
I hope it's a step in the right direction, I'd also love to see this smash!
Additionally, it was added to the KROQ playlist, currently number 10, hopefully a good sign that a major station picked it up (However, my local station still hasn't added it into their rotation, I'd think it would be a matter of time, it took them a while to pick up "Pompeii" into full swing).

How is this suddenly smashing without any prior recognition? Good song though

How is this suddenly smashing without any prior recognition? Good song though Being signed to a major record label doesn't hurt. And it doesn't really sound like anything else being pushed. Those two things combine to make for SMASH POTENTIAL.

This will be the "safe and sound" of 2014. If you're just referring to "Safe and Sound"'s run on Alternative, then sure, it may be possible. But to cross over on pop and become one of the biggest overall hits of the year? Highly doubtful.

So they went with this one instead of "I'm Only Joking"? I've only heard that one on the radio and thought that had potential. This one is cool too if only for the accordion

Awesome. Love the trend in alternative rock these days. Creative blend of indie rock and new sounds. I like these guys. This song will go to number 1.

This is a pretty good song, unfortunately for them they have a really dumb band name.
